What timing lol I just finished running mine all afternoon 😎 I’ve had the same bearing issue, the ones on my center diff failed as well as several others including the hubs. Seems strange since they’re rubber sealed! You’ve got that thing dialed in🤙🏻 What a fun truck and killer skills you’ve got 😎🤘🏻
Thanks Brother 🤗. I still might grab a 6s. Can't explain why I never did, but love driving them and watching my buddies bash theirs. The 4s is such a smooth ripper 😍
@@richduperbash2966 Honestly I jumped my 6s by mistake on huge jump and it soared perfectly! I’m trying to get my channel back up now so I will post that video soon.
Maaan this only solidifies how much I want this truck. I couldn't help but notice I'm not hearing the vibration sound I hear on every other video. Was it in the center driveshaft? That ramp was absolutely awesome, looks like the front slides on the uprights. As much fun as your having with this beast , you really should give the 6s a whirl. It wo t disappoint. I've got 2 now haha. But this 4s beast is just yelling at my wallet to spend hahaha. Thank you for a super awesome fun bash video with her. I look forward to more 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks so very much Nick 🤗. I know some have spoken about center driveshaft noise, but mine hasn't been an issue. It's possible the inner body dirt shroud is causing vibration noises in some rigs 🤔. I could only hear the motor ripping and wheels going ballistic 😂. Those custom ramps were absolutely gorgeous. Keith has serious design, fabrication, and welding skills!!! Both steel ramps were fully collapsible with locking pins and hinge points. Super solid. I definitely regret not getting the Mojave 6s EXB for 399$ on sale awhile back 😱😎💪👊👊
@richduperbash2966 I'm hoping they bring back the mojave exb in New version, along with the others. I had alot of diff issues with mine at first but after sorting them out it was a blast

Great rc for sure it's a ripper love the changes you made I too was thinking of installing some 6s shocks on mine so far all I've done is change out the rear shocks to some 80wt and added some preload and it's been great so far no complaints other then that a m2c chassis brace for them skate park bashes... Thanks for the content brother
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. It's definitely possible to tune up the stock shocks. I just wanted a stiffer spring with finer adjustment and the 6s shocks mount up so easily. The M2C brace is a good idea for the skateparks 😱💪💪
I changed my springs and shock oil in mine to beef it up. Went with just over 4lb springs in the front and 5.26 I think in the rear. It’s a lot better now for jumping. The thing is so bad ass!
Awesome bash brou. People are comparing the Mojave to the new traxxas Splat or Maxx smash, or Maxx Splash or whatever, im really curious how its going to compare with the Mojave. Great video as usual, very professionally done. always looking forward to a honest review from the SuperBasher. have Fun
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. The Maxx Slash looks like another epic Traxxas money grab at 700$ 😱. Fanboys will gush over it of course, but it's still a polished turd in my opinion. With monkey metal gears, Velinion electronics, and only 1.5" of travel, I'll stick with the Mojave 4s. I've been down the Slash mod money pit pathway before and it ultimately led me to buying an ARRMA 😂. That said, the new "Slash" is probably a better value than the XMaxx Ultimate at 1500$ 😱🤢💩
Hey Rich, Make yourself some windows and a windshield out of Lexan or whatever. You'll get higher top speeds and better handling at speed with windows. And I really like your style. Your videos are always good. You send them so hard 🤣
Thanks so much Timmy 🤗. I would try 1 mil cst center and either keep the front/rear stock (20k I think 🤔) or maybe try 30k. I don't recommend going too heavy front or rear in these 3-4s trucks.
@@richduperbash2966 thank you so much for a fast reply been looking for awnser s and i trust your opinion . also so funny how people said from the start cant bash this truck lol i shoot it to the moon no damage 👍
Hey man, really enjoy your videos. Two quick questions. I couldn't quite tell where you put the fuel line hosing (what is under piston mean?) and what diameter fuel line hosing you used? Also, your thought on using higher force springs with higher weight oil instead of shock replacement? Thanks.
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. The tubing slides on the shock shaft right under the piston within the shock body. It's an effective way to limit shock stroke and shorten the shock/decrease ride height. I was able to reuse the same 80 weight shock oil. The tubing just has to have a 4mm internal diameter to fit the shaft. You could certainly experiment with stiffer springs and heavier oils. M2C Racing is designing an alloy bladderless (emulsion style) cap to pair with their O-ring style pistons for the 4s rigs. They provide really nice dampening 👌. I'm still happy with my 6s Big Rock shocks.
The changes greatly reduced body roll and front to rear pitch with throttle and braking. It wouldn't really wheelie out of the box. That's changed with this crazy fast motor 😂. We had a variety of rigs out there. XMaxx x 2, Kraton 6s, custom Outcast 6s, and custom Kraton XL 1/7th.
Can you tell me more about what you did to customize the front shock (big rock 6s rear) what is that fuel tubing you used and where exactly is that going again? I would like to do the same thanks
You noted that your esc would cut out. Mine has done that twice. At least I think that’s what it is. The truck will just stop while throttle is applied but almost immediately will run just fine. One other thing of note. The on light on the slt3 glows red when on. Is this normal? All of my other transmitters have green “on” lights. Great video.
Thanks Bill 🤗. Yes the red transmitter light is normal on the SLT3 anytime it's powered on. My cut out issue was like going into limp mode/training mode with a very noticeable drop in speed and power that would only correct when the truck was powered off only to return during full throttle. Very frustrating. I think there's a programming issue with certain 4 and 6s V2 Firma ESCs.
It's a direct swap that adds more power (maximizes the motors potential output). You can either mount it with adhesive in the original location with modification or make a mount like I did.
Would you honestly pick this composite chassis with upgrades over a RTR 6S Mojave? Tough sell Arrma, even though it would be perfect scale for my backyard track... My 6S would bump and run this toy into the woods 🤣
Well I did pick it over a 6s so yes 😂. I always wanted a 6s, but was also happy with my frantic hopped up monster Senton 4s. This is longer than the K6s and obviously shorter than the 6sXL chassis. The composite chassis is way stronger than previous with the new side rail design 💪. Already have 3x 1/7 scales and loving this little Ripper. The metal ring and input gears are huge compared to the 6s.
I'd certainly entertain a reasonably priced roller option to drop a max8 G2 combo in and gear for 60+ mph on 4S. Edit-spending $500 for the 4S RTR and dropping another $200 in electronics to improve performance puts you in EXB 6S territory.
@@GarcBomber that's funny because my first thought was to drop the HW2200 if going 6s or geared up on 4s. Still love the original Max8 combo 😍. Great question Chris. The XMaxx is such a wonky handler. Suspension tuning is challenging on her. Tire choice can make a huge difference in complimenting the suspension, same with total rig weight. The VG Racing springs are stiff, but progressive with more predictable handling and less body roll. I'd continue experimenting. Make certain the M2C pistons slits are facing downwards in the shock bodies for best dampening. 🍻
You might've seized some bearings. I'd pull the center diff/motor assembly off and check the center diff bearings. Also check the rear input gear bearings. Free roll the truck without the center diff assembly to check rolling resistance. Remember don't ever water bash without washing, drying, and spraying the bearings with Silicone Spray afterwards. Putting a truck away wet and mucked up leads to problems.
They're all metal with huge input and ring gears. Way bigger gears than on the 6s. If anything goes, my guess would be a rock jamming and grinding away the plastic center driveshaft. I've had that happen before in years past.
I'm a Mojave guy through and through. Owned and upgraded 3. I love all the scales from 1/10 to 1/5th. The smaller ones have more agility and better burst speed. This one is between the Kraton 6s and Mojave 6s in terms of wheelbase, but drives different by design. The metal ring and input gears are massive and the transmission is crazy smooth. Trust me the Mojave 4s isn't really a slower version. 🍻

Trust me the Mojave 4s isn't really a slower version. 🍻
Thanks for educating me Rich! My heart yearns for a 1/5 Mojave, so seeing them go the other direction really disappointed me.
Thanks again!!
