are you srs right now
Probably not
@@madhatistaken Are you sure about that? 😏
Dude I just graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and I landed a SOC Analyst Intern position... But man, imposter syndrome is still present.
🎉Congratulations.
I am on the same path( but level1).
Have u got any certificates or previous IT experiences?
Intern SOC sounds great!
@@rf9562 I have a sec plus and development experience
Don't let them take advantage of you for long, especially if you're unpaid.
@@emilyau8023 Thanks homie for looking out for me. It is actually really high paying as far as internships go, so I think I should be okay. (:
@@dereksneddon6258 How much is it?
"Why voice in head make mean words when I try."
But seriously, it can really be hard getting over this, I am currently going through the same thing.
It only took me [redacted] years to learn where the fuzzy line between "Aggressive Self Marketing" and lying dwells. Of course, the Imposter Syndrome don't help. And I only learned about what it even is during the past year or two.
Literally started my first career tech job and even though I'm keeping up I have no idea why they have kept me this long. I feel like an idiot and everyone sees me as an idiot.
Its crazy i feel the sane way!
@@MegaNatebreezy Respect bro, I feel like I've met a lot of people who think the same but we make it 🙏🏼
@@yunggoosbumps215 imposter syndrome is very real. Ive always been insecure about my wits… I never wanna be dumb or make dumb decisions. Anytime I make a mistake I always feel like I’m a fake. I’m learning about fixed vs growth mindset and its eye opening. If you haven’t heard, you should look it up, it may help
Going through this right now.. applying for so many jobs
i reallly like how you make video and editing.
Yo, me tho! I hope to get over it after school.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I rather blow up instead of having imposter syndrome
"Yeah im sure (even if its wrong)"
The Usual Suspects was so on point! That’s the Committee on my head for sure. Benicio Del Toro and Kevin Spacey…. “You sure about that? They know you don’t know shit!” Imposter!”
can description this titles jobs in the next video
Security analyst vs Cybersecurity analyst vs Security operations center (SOC) analyst vs Information security analyst
(don't forget salary xD and hard work )
are you sure to make about that XDDDDDDD
XD Dude, your freakn genuinly hilarious. Love your style man, keep it up! (ArE YoU sUrE aBoUt ThAt?)
This was terrifyingly relatable.
LOL this is funny as hell great job borther, and im sure about that.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hahahaha this was great. I was laughing at the fake blunt and the pc as a bomb.
ayo! lol!!!!
every dam day
Do you practice on any CTF platforms? Like THM or HTB?
I do a bit of THM since it has blue team modules/content
@@madhatistaken So, for SOC analyst positions do you focus solely on Blue Team activities or do you personally strive for a bit of both?
Lol
Just getting started on my degree after leaving college in 2015 with very little credits, got the Security+, Network+, Linux+, top 1% on TryHackMe, have a voucher for the CEH that I have never used but its leftover from their official course, applied for hundreds of SOC analysts jobs, still working on the helpdesk after a year. Still have no idea what I am doing, and I am going to pay my SOC analyst/Pen tester friend to coach me enough to get a security role. I am dying, in my attic, running cat6 cables down my walls, and setting up a server with a SIEM or EDR or whatever system to put on my resume, because well I guess anything helps. Maybe If I can put on my resume that I set my own SIEM up at home and ran the cables myself with a funny UA-cam video I can get job. Maybe the CEH cert, or CSA Cert from EC Council, maybe Google Cert, Maybe more CompTIA certs, maybe better resume. ahhhhhh.
