    Love hearing the owner in awe. By far my favorite video of your channel. Honestly you guys made an amazing home theater for this family. Such a beautiful finished product. You can tell how much you guys care by all the input you get from the homeowners in the planning stages and then your flawless execution of the design elements that were important to the theater owner. Those caseta lights are amazing. Remote or just your phone. Something special about sitting down and then turning off the lights right from your seat. Truly a demo worthy project.

    The room looks amazing. Those columns look very sharp . They look a little too reflective for my taste but you guys do great work. Color scheme with the carpet and room colors really compliment each other. Would like to have seem some larger LCR but that is just my personal preference. Nice rack especially with the fans.

      Smh makes no sense..lol Plus the screen is too high.

    • @SqueamishPuppet
      @SqueamishPuppet 5 років тому +14

      Screen too high, the fact that they used all in wall speakers for such a nice room, and Dolby specs say to mount rear speakers a few feet above ear level not at ear level. Such a nice room and huge budget they should have at least used floor speakers for the front soundstage. In wall is fine for surrounds.

    • @dan_hitchman007
      @dan_hitchman007 5 років тому +13

      @@SqueamishPuppet I too feel like the speakers were undersized for the room. The surrounds should have been a little bit above seated head height, not right at head height. Somebody sitting in the same row can muffle the sound going to other viewers. Also, I agree with Mike that the Left, Center, Right and surround heights were a bit too mismatched.

    • @lookbackfilms6268

      screen is too high and doesn't look to me as thought this is built to dolby specifications - This is key when building a home cinema using dolby atmos

  • @AmitKumar-xb5gp
    @AmitKumar-xb5gp 4 роки тому +1

    Screen size minimum 12 ×12 and large 15×12 feet . I think screen should be starting from bottom of room floor. That effect so good . One wall of home should convert in to the full screen.
    Then all type of picture looks real like Garden, tree, Road, traffic, runway , bedroom , mauntain.

  • @scottwallace1
    @scottwallace1 5 років тому +2

    Good looking install, and I appreciate that you guys take the time to post videos of your work. But curious as to why you need an ambient light rejecting screen in this completely light controlled environment with a projector like the 695?

  • @tobiasfunke
    @tobiasfunke 5 років тому +4

    It is just as important that the L and R channels are closer to ear level as well. I know it looks "nicer" to have them centered with the screen but you should really move them down a bit.

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 5 років тому +3

      In this light controlled environment, I would have done an acoustically transparent screen with all three speakers directly behind the screen. Could’ve gone a little bigger or even 235 with this projector.

    • @pyrolinn2088
      @pyrolinn2088 5 років тому +4

      Ive noticed that on all their installations. I would like mine a couple feet lower for sure.

    • @dan_hitchman007
      @dan_hitchman007 5 років тому

      @@scottwallace1 Oh my, yes! You don't even necessarily need an anamorphic lens with projector lens memory, though it would be better with a lens in order to keep the brightness of the projector from falling off by doing the zoom method.

    Who did the acoustic layout with all the different height levels for the base layer? The surrounds are very low both the sides and rears compared to the L and R. The surrounds look low in general too. Just odd looking for sure and hope sounds better than looks like it will especially with the rears having to go past the seating.

      So I’ll make this as close as I can for recover and amp it’s probably 2500-3000 Sony 4K goes 5k 8k 10k all the way up to 40k surround with 2 subs the subs are 599 per each speaker is 350 each the ceiling speakers could be 150 keep in mind this is being generous, the screen is like 5k+ each chair is 900-1500 per chair the rack is probably 1500 could be less as the price for the rack is a wild guess. The wiring, carpeted walls, elevated seating and room build could all be done for less then 5k DYI professionally your looking at 8-10k depending on the lighting the remote is badass but priced at 350+ at least that’s what it was last I looked. Honestly you could do all of this for way less but hey if you got 50k to blow I’m not gonna tell ya not to do it lol 😂

      lol I have a home theater and trust me just for the projector, after discounts and NOT going through a dealer, the projector still costs $45,000.00 and thats considered midrange, projectors for our rooms start at 20K and go up to 115K. No joke, when you get to the point of having real money everything is on a different level, including silly things like 50K projectors. FYI it's not even a after thought!

I thought that a large part of the sound that is created by a speaker has to do with its enclosure.
