"It's only temporary. Unless it works."
Words to live by.
I can confidently inform everyone that a significant portion of our telecommunications outside plant infrastructure is held up with tie wraps and black vinyl tape.
@@wes11bravo Hey, the CEOs gotta eat something on their super expensive yachts.
I chuckled at
"Well... It ain't goin to the moon."
There's nothing more permanent than a temporary repair!
“Temporarily permanent” as I like to say
Hey , if you did a dirt floor conversion for your shop, you could literally bury your mistakes! Seriously I love this long video for a Sunday evening I truly appreciate your dry humor, helps lighten the mood I’ve been in
yep me tooo good humor this thing is not going to the moon still laughing about that hours later
So satisfying seeing that plow finally come off
"Lahore truck yard" came for the content, stayed for the laughs.
no one makes me LOL like Wes while learning something. Thank you Sensei.
I really enjoyed this ATV series. Hope you do more like this as well. Interesting to see what others did to it along the way. Always easier to repair and work on things if no one modified everything before you get it. Repairing other people's botched repairs take so much time... Thumbs Up!
Did a similar “resurrection” on a ‘93 Suzuki 250. The OG of your project.
Lots of the same wore out stuff, but no frame cracks. I got it 100% condition and fully back yard tested. Then …every…oil seal let go on the first true day long trail ride. One of life’s great disappointments!
All at once? welp that escalated quickly
Sounds about right!
Enjoy watching you work on different types of machines like this. Looks like you have a good machine now that will last a long time, and yeah, I recently bought a 4 wheeler and it wasn't cheap. Nice work Wes. Cheers.
Love watching your vids also man I gotta find me a boom lift maybe a 40’ one though lol
"Off and out of our lives" Perfectly Put, Wes!
The Lahore repair yard is still a place of engineering excellence, must have learnt that from you
Wes,
Have been enjoying your channel for about a year now.
Amazed at your analytical capabilities. Especially your patience and tenacity.
Your willingness and interest in pushing through that place where most would have stopped is commendable.
Thank you for all of your guidance.
It would be short sighted of me not to mention the support your receive from your mathematician wife.
All my best to you.
Johnny
Thanks a lot! She does the heavy lifting.
@@WatchWesWork You mean she counts your riches until there's enough in the till to go buy a new Hufflepuff thing?
I was truly shocked when i saw you use the correct pliers to take off a wheel cap, but man you also got the tool to properly clamp down cv boot bands. You are for sure a wild man lol
The sound is really good on this episode.
Someone just commented it was bad.
@@WatchWesWork Must have been listening to some 7.1 audio on their 9.2 system from Netflix just before this... :D
@@WatchWesWork I found it superb, other than a couple (as in two) audio artifacts from YT)
It was all the background shop noises I could hear. My Ms had a tooth ache and asked to turn it down because all the mechanical sounds had her scared.
GREAT VIDEO Wes !!!! Very informative and entertaining.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY Mrs. Wes !!!!
Thank you
Wes brings culture to the shop, “Salvatore Dail of winch mounts”. Maybe it deserves a spot on the shop wall.
If you bash self tapping screws one more time, I'll stop sending you Fudge Stripes...
Thanks Wes,
I had a good laugh. "It's temporary unless it works"!! Looks like it will be a good machine for your family. I liked the ride on the dirt road. thanks for taking us along.
" More alcohol is the cause or the solution ". That needs to be a t shirt if ever there was one.
Further, I put a master shut off or battery disconnect in all my small vehicles. I really dont like have any parasitic draw on my electrical since I live in a very cold climate.
Wes, one of the funniest things ive ever heard a fixer say..."its ok, we're used to junk." Give you joy on your restoration pretty sweet.
This quad is like your own Charlie Brown's Christmas tree; "I think it needs me".
Wes that was great ! Getting a ATV with all the issues made your video really informative. Thanks for going all the way .
I have a couple of comments. First, it's a good thing it was you who bought this pile. Anybody else would have just tossed it in the bin. You have the patience and the necessary skills and equipment to bring it back to its glory. Second, I can only hope that the guy who butchered it so badly gets the opportunity to watch your videos and hear what you think of his "engineering" skills. I wish you were my neighbor. I'd never have to fix anything again.
I lost it with “it looks like Salvador Dali painted a winch mount”! That’s classic!!
Great job Wes it looks like a proper 4 wheeler now especially looking back at episode 1. I know you’ve spent a lot of time and money on it but at the end of the day you know it’s been fixed and sorted out properly and is a safe reliable machine now. Looking forward to more content from you keep up the great work 👍🏻
Congratulations, Wes. You took a run-down broken machine and turned it into a running, safe 4 wheeler. I hope you get many miles and years of service.
Lights look way cleaner properly mounted as well gotta love having to fix others crappy work I swear most of us mechanics spend more time un doing what other have done then actually fixing things that happen by normal driving @Watch Wes Work
It's very satisfying watching you unhack someone's hackistry. I rebuilt a Land Rover over the past couple of years and 90% of the labor involved unhacking someone else's garbage. Twisted wire connections wrapped in electrical tape are the bane of my existence.
Just loving the fine quality engineering. To be fair, you’ve turned it around to the best it’s been in a long time. I think whoever inflicted all the suffering to this poor machine is as special as the rear suspension. Nice to see it back to decent.
Over an hour of video and I watched it all without realizing that much time had passed, I watched both and enjoyed them. Great series. Thank you for taking the time presenting it to us.
I've watched this several times over and it's still got me hooked. Nice work Wes, you truly are an engineers engineer!!!!👍
I loved the moment all those washers dropped out of plow lol
It's amazing what you can do love the videos keep them up
You finally beat the Bubba out of it..
Oh my god. I seen the “parts cannon” and instantly received a dopamine rush. 👏🏻
Well worth the wait. Thank you for the part 2!
And to Mrs Wes, Happy Mother's Day!
Darn, just missed my first chance at like numero unofficial.
#2.
But I came to watch Wes repair a piece of equipment I'd love to own and take out to the Redlands farm area and go Hog Wild.
Wes's humor definitely helps make his vids fascinating to watch.
Just be careful where you take a sip of steaming hot coffee like I did when he mentioned what kinda drugs they were using concerning mounting a certain part.
Was could do standup comedy acts as the Mystified Mechanic and have sell out crowds.
Wes, if you'd have spent more to get better we your loyal subs wouldn't have gotten to enjoy watching you fix this one up including all the hilarious chuckles you provided.
Thank you Wes, enjoyed this all the way through. You're one of the best, your hard work producing these is apparent and very much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed this ATV repair. A hornets nest of horrors to be sure. Happy trails guys.
Regards from South Africa
Been waiting all day thanks Wes
Well done Wes!! That Arctic Cat ought to serve you and family well for several years to come.
I appreciate how your ATV and your snack are both Fully Fudged!
I put off resealing a CV for 3 years on my old daily. One night on the way home from work that axle announced it had had enough. The cage blew up and half the balls were thrown. I limped it home and the last of them came out when I was turning into the drive, and of course was not able to take her in the driveway. Rolled her down the hill and parked curbside. Me and my dad got really creative in how to use a truck and a strap to get in in the driveway. Pro tip you can get an extra inch if you stand on the strap.
i love this series, was nice seeing you fix it up & fix all the stuff wrong.
Not only a great content, but excellently presented.
You do great work Wes, Thanks for sharing the video with us!
Hey Wes, you really are fearless aren’t you. You’ll take on anything and sort it. I’m over hear in England and watching you and your antics really has me green with envy. I truly think your an amazing fella and I hope you keep posting for many years to come. Thanks for sharing your trials and tribulations with us.
Quality work by a real professional! If only there were more like you!
Beat to fit….Paint to match👍
Man I love this kind of work Dr. Wes!
Thank you so much for the update on your newer 4 wheeler. 👍
always fun to watch your vids- lots of learning going on here.
On a old ford I had the rag washer on the steering column went bad so I cut some new ones out of the sidewall of a old tire. They worked great.
I am from Lahore and I could not believe my ears when I heard you comparing your workshop to "Lahore truck repair yard minus the dirt". Yes, interesting repairs happen on those road side dirt yards. I am glad that you mentioned.
Always enjoy your flicks ..this was an especially good one.. thanks
I thought you have abandoned us for the weekend Wes! Its after midnight here in UK but will still watch it straight away :)
It's been a little nutty here.
I think that winch mount was their second attempt after the helmet mounted one failed….
Fun to watch as usual. Thanks.
I always enjoy seeing your neat, methodical approach.
The remote receiver for the winch will run your battery down. I put a high current disconnect in the winch leads to eliminate that problem
Wish the old lady a happy mother's day!
I love to Watch Wes Work! Great job bud.
Love your skills, but nothing matches your narrative. Totally amazing stuff, thanks Wes
I couldn't stop laughing at the trim washers falling out when you removed the obnoxiously long chunk of all thread that held the plow on.
Those are precision shims.
waited all week for this and it did not disappoint. thank you!
You inspire me to take on repair projects. My house is running smoothly.
Man, what a nice change of pace. Loved watching this series!
Wes, glad you got it running and are mostly happy with it.
I really enjoyed the videos you made on the ATV. Thank you for sharing.
You are a mad genius. Amazing work and so patient.
Awesome episode Wes, great way to finish Sunday night.
Holy cow. What a good video. Thank you.
That was quite the revamp on that rig Wes, nice work 👌
Amazing rebuild! Loved the 'delicate' front bumper adjustment! Thanks from a Hoosier neighbor!
Thanks Wes, that was an adventure!! I appreciate all your videos they are educational.. keep up the good work.
I love your enthusiasm you're freaking awesome
Excellent job Wes! Really enjoyed this video.
Very satisfying restoration of the ATV. Looking forward to the next project 👍
Your vids are terrific. Love to see practical fixes dine economically.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride, Wes!
Excellent job as usual... You are the Master Tradesman !!!!!
Amazing transformation from what you started with. Excellent job Wes.
Hey Wes, I always appreciate your videos and it’s great to follow your trouble shooting. Thanks.
Satisfyingly thorough as always Wes you and the Family will get to enjoy a safe ATV out in the Flatlands
We applaud your choice. We certainly enjoyed it!
Simply put, excellent job Wes 👍🏻
Well done Wes for an awesome video just goes to show how you turn a project around into a daily enjoyment
These couple videos were very enjoyable. Quality job as always.
I laughed my ass off when you took off the old bumper off and 5.00 worth of washers fell out.. great addition to the family..keep it.. put a chain and padlock on the grill. .. things are getting bad fast food is doubling ..you did excellent rebuild on the madmax four wheeler.
You are more polite than I could be about the damage on this machine!
I enjoyed the two-part video on the Arctic Cat 4x4. Thanks for posting.
One of my fav videos of yours mate. And I've seen them all.
when you had it all apart it was reminiscent of the small crawler of years past, just a difference in scale - good to see old iron brought back to usefulness
Nice Rig and fixed up right. Good interesting rework. Thx Wes. Have fun with the carb
Great job Wes, I enjoy all your videos, you are a great mechanic my friend,
Pup always looks depressed and Angry at the same time lol 😆 😂 @Watch Wes Work
Awesome job ! Hope you have a lot of fun !
This was another great clip! I truly enjoy watching you work on equipment like this because it shows run down gear can be brought back to life. You clearly have the tools, and more importantly, the skills and knowledge to do those repairs properly - no half way stuff!
Loved both these videos
Great video Wes. very interesting with all of the stuff you had to do. I really enjoyed the ingenuity and fixing the maladies. Thanks for sharing.
