I'm here to teach you everything you need to know about how to play and build Keqing, whether you are a new player, F2P only, or a light spender.
She's a highly underrated DPS who is capable of clearing ALL content in the game, including the Spiral Abyss.
One of the biggest requirements is that she needs a solid team to back her up! This video goes over Aggravate team comps you can use as well as Electro Charged AKA taser team comps that also perform well!

Used Keqing since I lost my first ever 50/50 and she’s been my main ever since. Really great advice about the strongbox. Thundering fury domain is pain!
It's awful and I'm glad Hoyoverse keeps adding more artifacts as strongboxes!
Couple things I forgot:
- You may have noticed that during the Spiral Abyss, Keqing barely makes it time for the three star. This is NOT because Keqing struggled to clear faster, in fact, my first half team was the one that was struggling to give my Keqing plenty of time to work with. Despite that, Keqing managed to clutch it out multiple times! Keqing's Spiral clear times were all pretty reasonable considering how little time she was given.
- Thundering Fury 4 Piece effect also reduces Elemental skill CD as you trigger electro reactions! It also increases the DMG opponents take by Aggravate by 20%! Making it the BiS for Keqing!
- The maximum cap for strongbox artifacts is 39 and you can even use the same artifacts as the set you are trying to get. The pieces you get area random.
Example: You can sacrifice bad Thundering Fury artifacts to get new ones in the Mystic Offering
Example 2: sacrificing a bunch of sand pieces does NOT guarantee you will get a sand piece in return.
If you’ve got C6 Benny, slap on crimson set with attk Goblet and use Rosaria n Xinqiu for the melt/Reverse melt proc. Easy 36* in most resets. I’ve plunged melted 100ks w/ her and consistently stay at 20-65k melts on normal attks. Raw pyro dmg is typically 10-20k, which is just as nice as physical Keqing. Just food for thought..
Also* I’ve ran C6 Thoma for shield and 15% normal/plunging attk bonus (Benny Nobless, Rosaria Burst support) with Lions Roar instead of Alhaithems sig and that’s a great comp too. Xinqiu is better in the slot than Thoma since Keqings normal attks don’t sync each attk with Rosarias burst; Xinqiu helps with that

Just finished leveling up Keqing to 90 yesterday, she´s strong and my only true dps for now
Nice! As long as she has a solid team to back her up she can go all the way to endgame!
Imo fischl is one of her best teammates because Keqing can proc Fischl's passive very often. Also I find it quite inconvinient trying to swirl electro of just Keqing. Yaoyao gives enough dendro by herself since quicken/aggravate doesnt remove it. Alternatively if you dont have yao yao or dont want to use her Jean can double as vv shred and healer/sub dps. If you happen to have c2 (i think) she also makes your attacks faster. Almost all my teams want Kazuha so Im happy to free him up here. Those are my favourite teams anyway.

Kirara/Baizhu also nice defensive Dendro options if you have them. I personally find Kirara's kit more fun than Yaoyao's so I use her more (if I even run a defensive option, that is... sometimes it's really fun to just go yolo and run no shielding/healing; it was especially fun against consecrated beasts for me🤣).
So extra tips:
Keqing E has no icd, so both casts apply electro and therefore cause aggravate. So, if you EE, then Q, with thundering fury reducing her E cooldown, she will be able to EE again for a total of 8 aggravates in a little more than 3 seconds.
Fischl is godly on her team because her A4 throws a extra atk whenever keqing procs aggravate, so fischl deals a ton of damage from off field.
I think I’ve seen a quick swap team using Kequing and Tignari, because they can both have low time out it seems to work well. (I have not tried the team however it seems to work well, the team was dendro MC on deepwood, Fischl now on the new set, Tignri on Wanders Troupe, Kequing on Thundering Fury)

The only thing my Keqing is missing is a completed 4-set piece Thundering Fury, once I'm finished, my Keqing is gonna be a real Electro Archon.

Don't forget Amenoma Kageuchi is a great F2P craftable on Keqing... it also matches her look....

I think Raiden is more popular because her Base ATK is higher than most characters in the game. I love Keqing tho, because I enjoy using her burst. It's fun to watch her sword dynamics

Yeah Lynette and Heizou can be ok, I would focus on ER for Heizou for more burst uptime.

My first dps I started Genshin. This year got her c6 but she is still underwhelming dmg even with my ayaka weapon ,compared to my C0 Alhaitham. But her play style is very amazing. I still use her sometimes in abyss to see if she can clear it. She can but not as fast with other dps nevertheless she is very coool character.

Keep playing the game regularly to get your AR up as much as possible.
Do exploration, dailies, quests, etc to unlock access to higher tier content/domains to get these drops.
It's going to be awhile until you are able to get 5 star artifacts.

Right now I'm running with Kokomi lvl 70 C0, Keqing lvl 60 C0 or C1 would have to check, Yanfei lvl 70 C6, & Collie lvl 70 C1. Sometimes I may swap out Keqing for my lvl 60 C1 Beidou.

@@calamitygenshinimpact1255 pretty good. She does good damage. It just stinks that when you get past level 6 talents, you have to wait a whole week for the chance to upgrade one talent.
Yeah farming talents is rough, I use fragile resin when I'm impatient with a character!

I just wait until I get 5 condensed, then use them all on artifacts for example.

Jean is good! Just make sure that she's on the field when you swirl to get the VV effect!
Use keqing, nahida/yao,sucrose,fischl.
I use her with Fischl Dendro mc and Jean so yeah, Jean is great imo. She's a nice option because you can have VV and healing while you still do good damage if you invest into her a bit.

Been playing this game for about 2.5-3 years and got every standard 5 star except for keqing (and dehya..but she came out in 3.5 so she got added to standard pretty recently). At this point I would be happy if I lose my furina 50/50 to keqing, lol. Almost regret not pulling on her rate up.
I remember her banner lol, Dehya is also the only standard character I'm still missing!

For Dori I'd use instructor set, healing circlet, hp goblet, er sands
Basic build, I'll probably make a guide for her in the future. Focusing on HP% and ER for burst uptime.
She's C5
Talents are 1/10/11
She's using a Sacrificial Greatsword (R5)
Noblesse Oblige Set (4)
HP% Sands
HP% Goblet
Healing Bonus Circlet
She has in total 200% ER and 31,781 HP.
Definitely can get more HP% with final ascension and level 90 (am lazy)

She's the only on fielder I have, I don't think people think she's bad after the release of dendro. Cleared lv 12 abyss with zero star but it's still a high achievement for me 😆

Is an r5 iron sting better than r1 lions roar. Weapons are really scarce for f2p :(
Only slightly, and depending if being used on an Aggravate team.
If you manage to get Lion's Roar even to R2 it will be better than Iron Sting.

I need Quickbloom/Hyperbloom Keqing team so badly due to I have Nahida. I searched everywhere, but nothing found about related to this. Due to Fischl now has new artifact set. Everyone are back to blame Keqing again.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's the fastest out of all the sword users but it really is quick!
Let me correct this.
The first Keqing team showcased is bad. (No offence meant.)
Nahida applies more dendro than others (1.5 unit), which makes it pretty impossible to apply electro on enemies. It'll all be used up for the Aggravate reaction.
Which also means that there is no electro for Kazuha to swirl for the VV debuff and his elemental damage buff. For this reason, pretty much any other dendro unit is better for any aggravate team (which is Keqing's best team).
Also having 2 dendro units also doesn't do much, other than the minor EM buff for Keqing.
Better Keqing teams would look like this:
Keqing (you don't need any ER)
Any other dendro than Nahida, preferably Yaoyao - but even Collei can keep up the Quicken aura
An anemo unit with VV - Kazuha and Sucrose are great, but others work too. If you don't have another healer on the team already, Jean is good.
2nd electro, preferably Fischl - she gives tons of energy and her A4 will trigger every time Keqing triggers Aggravate - and her A4 is guaranteed to cause a reaction.
Example teams:
Keqing - Yaoyao - Kazuha/Sucrose - Fischl
Keqing - Collei/Dendro Trav - Jean/Sayu - Fischl
Keqing - dendro unit - Kazuha/Sucrose - Kuki
Also The Black Sword (old battle pass sword) is also pretty good for her, since a good part of her damage comes from Normal/charged attacks. Also makes building crit stats easier. :)
I did mention the Black Sword for Keqing!
@@calamitygenshinimpact1255Yes you did. I just wanted to emphasize it. I think it's probably better than Wolf fang. Passive buffs normal/charged which is probably more overall damage than burst and skill.
If Wolf fang's description is accurate, using skill buffs skill crit rate only, same for burst, burst hits buff crit rate for further burst hits (but not general crit rate). So for electro Keqing it'd only be useful for the burst.
Keqing is my first main and one of my best built characters, still using her a lot.
actually, if you use keq skill, use nahida e and then fisc e, there’ll be an electro aura as well as the quicken aura on the enemy, allowing kazu to swirl electro. before learning this i just used kazu before nahida e but this is way bettererer

Now I'm using Nahida in a hyperbloom team instead and Yaoyao does well for Keqing as both healer and dendro applier. Performing 2 (or 3) roles in 1 slot also holds value. I have her on Instructor set for the EM buff.

Cinnabar Spindle is only good for Albedo currently. But you can use a Harbinger of Dawn instead.
