I'm hard of hearing in the frequency of women's voices I've been told. My ex thought I was just hard of listening but my audiologist assured me that I really couldn't hear that frequency well. And now that I've found Angelina I actually want to hear her voice! The comparison with Amy is completely obvious. AJ herself has welcomed the comparison. The grit, the smoky tone, the frybrato -- I'll never understand why fans get bent when fundamental aspects of AJ's voice are compared to Winehouse. That never happens when she's compared to Billie Holiday -- and she has much more in common with Amy (and with Adele) in terms of the kind of music she's been singing and writing in the last several years. IMO she's always sounded much more like Winehouse than like Holiday.
