HELLO THERE:
We are Joe and Liisu, full-time travelers from Estonia on a mission to break stereotypes, show diverse cultures and wander in the magical nature. Joe, a seasoned traveler of 8 years, began his journey while working in Australia, New Zealand and Canada (holding over 25 different jobs). Liisu, a former medical doctor, joined the adventure 2 years ago. Now we live on the road, exploring the world either from our backpacks or in a van.
I am from Oman. Please do not enter the desert too much or go too far. Just be careful
You guys are mad crazy!! I live in my country and I never want to cross the desert like that, I respect your accomplishment, bravo!!
17:25 it was camel spider its non-venomouse spider
Welcom to Oman. You have to be careful in desert don't sleep on the sand because there might be highly venomouse snakes which is cover itself with the sand. But the most danger is losing the directions that mean you will be lost in huge desert no one can find you easly
Congratulations on your epic travel!
Well done, thank you so much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
Thank you so much 👍
@@WildVikingTravels It is my pleasure, thanks to you too! Take care! Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏
You lovely pair of nutters! I'm glad you are okay and it was an experience I'm sure you'll never forget. Stay safe and happy travels.
I am from Oman🇴🇲 and I have visited the Badiya desert a lot, a wonderful place
It really is!
Oh wow.... that must have been such a long, hard walk with little sleep or food, and in the heat too. No wonder you started to argue, the sand and the spiders etc must have been hard to bear, but well done to you both for doing it! I was worried in case you couldn't find your way back to your van x
I watch alot of vids like this but you guys are one of my favourite! It's so enjoyable to watch you guys, you deserve millions of subscribers! Much love from Norway
Thank you so much for your kind words!🙂😁
We send all the best to you and hope to visit your beautiful country soon again 😁
What a crazy adventure you've been on. You have pushed yourselves to the limit while many people - myself included - live their lives in a comfort zone bubble that they dare not leave.
It's too dangerous to enter the desert alone without a guide it's quite deadly.
be careful my friend
Amazing video, u guys rock
Wonderful dear friends. I bet that the serenity you felt at the desert was very hard to find in many other places we think are amazing!!! ❤❤❤
Well done! I loved seeing Juma featuring in the video. I believe Liisu was in Oman for a connecting cultures courses 10 years ago, if I am not mistaken.
Yes exactly!
That's where she knew Juma from 😄
Thank you very much for this beautiful video
So nice of you!
That looks to me like a camel spider. Great video and bravo for your journey into the desert.
Thank you! Cheers!
Your mistake is you have to be prepared for trekking tour before
You must not have heavy luggage.
You must not wear boots those shoes are ok for trekking in the mountains or where there are rocks but not in the sand funds better you walk shoeless or maximum wear sandals .
You better have igloo scout tent and sleeping bags for cold nights as the average of temperature are big from day to night usually there is 15 to 20 degrees deferent from day to night .
Do not sleep near ruins or place of holes near water sources or vegetation and trees also near rocks as well as law ground or holes .
If you have been bitten by scorpion or snake do not get scared and frightened it well effect negatively on your body resistance keep calm and have courage and keep strong
Tight you arm or leg to avoid poison to go into your body and reach your heart then suck the poison and thraw it away repeat that action several times till you make sure the place totally clean from poison
Amazing vid! Kudos for your great efforts on this epic trip!
Glad you enjoyed it!
hey guys, wonderful video. Its funny, with many travel adventure channels they always go to the most amazing places but it never feels totally real. Nothing goes wrong, everything Is planned and it's all sanitised. But i feel like you two are just wondering and finding your steps as you go. real adventurers and real people. Just so much better to watch this than any of the big productions... What i loved was your 'stupid' decisions, decisions that EVERYONE makes, you're not. making this anything other than what it is. I just love finding new people to watch like you two :)
Wow.
Thank you for such kind hearted comment.
It really makes us proud to hear how our little adventures brings joy and excitement to others.
Best wishes!
Joe and Liisu
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
So beautiful!! You both are amazing!! God bless you guys ❤️ and also together as a team doesn’t matter what that is the most precious part!! Braves !! From the extreme heat to the extreme cold love will always survive 🥰 the same that you both do
🌱🌳💚
Thank you so much for your kind words!
We send you all of our best 😉😁
You guys are amazing travellers. ❤
I love the way you take videos .❤
That's a camel spider .. it's nasty but not poison... also sleeping on sand is not comfortable we use air flat beds.
We'll be smarter next time 😁
17:25 I am an Arab Bedouin, and the most important point when sleeping in the desert is not to sleep near a tree or plant because a snake, scorpion, or spider lives there.
Love you guy! What an experience. I would understand it if you needed a vacation from one another after that trek. Safe travels. ❤
We agree!
Wow what an epic adventure. I thought all deserts were like that. In Australia there is a lot more vegetation (and less scorpions!) Great video guys.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow, 😲 impressive. I'm surprised your skin is not sunburned really bad. How did you do that ?
We will kindly ignore the big pile of wood and ppl in the background, because it is a awesome video!
There sure is people in this desert every now and then. They come with 4x4 and stay for sunset.
There is quite a few other bedouin camps around that host tourists 😁
@@WildVikingTravels oh yes, the Bedouin BBQ and sunset for tourist and vlogger camps... 😂 There are nice area's on this planet, stay safe on your travels.
That is a desert Spider
17:47 That seems like a camel spider
Nice hike and adventures, as you know I'm from a quiet similar landscape, but I haven't challenged myself yet to hike through the desert, exactly the opposite of you I had a dream of hiking through the forest and I did it once in the north are of my country(Iran) which has large green Hyrcanian forests It was awesome, we slept the night in a tent and instead of bugs Talesh cows attacked us 😂
Haha.
That is cool!
As a child we would do such trips every summer, there is something special about sleeping in the nature and cooking your food on a fire 😁
17:47 We call this insect locally (Abu Shabak), and it is not poisonous. I am not sure of its name in English, but when I searched on Google, I found that its name is Solifugae.
I think people do not realise that deserts can be a dangerous place and is only for the experienced. To venture out on your own is a foolish thing.
Amazing adventure .. you could of rented camels to ride in this adventure .. well done
That would be cool!
Welcome to my home town... Enjooooy
Try not to walk during med day .
Start walking very early in the dawn time and rest in the med day to hit weather .avoids climb high dunes the effect on your ienergy
17:50 it’s definitely not a scorpion even the baby once have their own tail already on them when they’re out of the womb and it doesn’t look like a spider either
It is called a camel spider
amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
After watching only two videos i am already subscriber and big fan.
You have unique character and quite interesting prospective when evaluating any situation.
From what i have seen so far, appreciate your honesty and fairness. I wish you all the best in your journey as a content creator.
Thank you for the lovely comment and welcome to the channel 😀!
Enjoyable for us, maybe not so much for you. Being out in the desert heat all day hurts, that’s what air conditioned shopping malls exist for, cool down 🤣🤣 Pushing yourself physically and mentally for a few days can really give a good indication of your abilities. I travel to photograph insects, spiders, snakes etc but I don’t want to share my bed with them 😁😁 I look forward to your next adventure.
Ohh it was a hell of an adventure for sure, but so glad we did it. It helped us realise that we should get out of cities more often and more into the wild as there we feel most alive 😆😁
Yeah, most insects and snakes I get along with quite well, but somewhy spiders just get to me 🤣
Welcome to Oman bro, enjoy, I just want to ask about your chin, is it normal or did you have surgery?? I really liked it I want my chin be like you😅😄
You should dig a little line a round you in the sand so nothing can riches you when
you sleeping anyway you gays are brave good luck
When you go to the desert, do not sleep in low-lying areas or near small bushes, because those places are where rodents, scorpions, and other insects abound. Welcome to Oman 🇴🇲
Bro you both are not alone who does fly that drone
I do my friend 😅😅😅. The controller is in my hand (after years of flying you don't need to look anymore),
but the fact that you didn't notice it is a huge compliment so thank you 😉
👍
You gays are very brave and resilient --- pleased to watch this adventure !
I love yours channel cutie ❤❤❤
(In deep male voice)
I have never been called a cutie before but well... thanks i guess 😉
@@WildVikingTravels always the best ❤️ cutie
Koka and milk is the best in sahara hahahaha
tanks
You need to wake up at dawn and walk in the morning, not at midday or the afternoon…
The thing that you saw as an scorpion it is not it is called camel spider
Ohh thanks for letting me know I thought I didn't quite look like one.
Great video fellas. But please help us boycotting those food stuff brands. We as majority of Omani would agree on this point. Thank you in advance ♥️
Those beduin women look physically different than usual omanis kinda look a bit less south asian and more looking like northern arab kinda facial features ,it’s surprising that they don’t cover their faces and they don’t mind the camera
Anyone else thinking that poor woman only has one dress for the Middle East? Same one worn in Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. I hope it got washed everyday
👍🏜☀🐪😎❤
OMG thank god you didn't die crazy 🤦🏻
you are really crazy
Whay you use indian music??
Camel litterbox
You guys seem lovely but this is so silly to do?? Why would you risk you and your loved ones life for a UA-cam video? And you do this frequently…
Ohh not to worry, we do tend to half plan b if things go wrong.
And honest it is not about UA-cam videos. We do what we love whilst travelling and it's a bonus if we can also turn it into a video.
You were wrong in choosing the place to sleep. Sleep should be above the hill, not near small trees, because scorpions and snakes live between the trees. These were dangerous.
If you are still in Oman, I hope you will contact me to provide you with some hospity in Muscat 🤍🙏🤩
