Hello! i'm going to wax my chain but i'm going to just use the Paraffine wax, I don't have the PTFE powder available where I life, is it okay to just use the Paraffine wax alone? thanks!
I cleaned it with petrolium a night and afterwards accetone that removes all restovers of the petrolium and grease. afterwards parafine wax wiith teflon powder in it I do this every 150km, I have 2 chains Why are you pushung the chain in the front sprocket? just roll it around and the chain will break the wax :)
pure paraffin wax is not a great lubricant, you should add a dry lubricant to it, about 2%wt will do, either WS2 0.1 micron or PTFE 1.6 micron, or both. they give the wax extreme pressure ability which is needed in a chain. i use tha blend on my 750W mid drive ebike and the chain simply does not wear and stays super clean
All that dirt in the wax?? Chainwax is supposed to extend the lifespan of your chain and drivetrain. Impossble if you do it like this! Chain has to be perfectly clean before initial waxing
That "dirt" is grease residue. You can use the wax over and over as the residue does not suspend in the wax. In other words, it never ends up on the chain to cause wear
I do the same as above. 500gr Paraffine with 10gr ptfe powder

Thank you so much for the video! No need to add PTFE? Is it necessary to wax the new cassette too?
you just wax the chain. keep the cassette and rings clean and grease free

this teflonpowder makes the frogs gay xD
No? Pure paraffin wax is a great lubricant.
yeah, so do it with pure paraffin. you'll see it has no EP capability whatsoever. you'll have metal on metal friction very quickly
