  • I got the BMW F750GS as a loan bike for two days whilst my BMW F800GT was in for her 60K mile service.
This was an excellent opportunity to get re-acquainted with the bike after I test rode it more than a year ago.
    Enjoy the video :)

Thanks for all your great, well articulated reviews. I just bought one of these and find it more satisfying overall than the F800GT that I owned, but it doesn't look as sporty as a Valencia Orange GT, haha. The engine is smoother and less buzzy though, especially from 4K on up. Plenty of power, but you do need to downshift for passing, since max torque is at 6K and the bike is geared tall. Just drop a gear or two and she will fly.
I also own an R1200GS and this bike brings all the same touring features, especially cruise control, keyless ride and ESA. But it does need a Madstad screen or similar for touring, especially at higher speeds. Combined with the agile handling, lighter weight and lower seat height it is a fantastic bike. After 40 years of large and heavy touring bikes this one hits the sweet spot for me.

I noticed you are staying in 6th at 3,000 rpm, where max torque is at 6,000. Use that clutchless shifting before you pass. You will love it. On my 1200 you can stay at 3k, but not on the new 750 or 850, I know, I own it as well.

Thanks for your thorough and honest comments on this motorcycle. I’m retiring in a few months and as I’ve gotten older I am less attracted to heavy touring bikes. I usually go on weekend trips or day rides and I’ve been looking to downsize from my Harley-Davidson Heritage. I test rode a 2023 BMW 750 GS this past weekend and found it to my liking and I am going to buy it. The engine power is enough for me and I like the fact it has all the advanced rider modes and safety features including ABS, heated grips and cruise control at a price point of $14,000 or so USD. Most of the other smaller bikes of this type from Triumph or Kawasaki do not have the cruise control feature or heated grips. It handled great and is much lighter than I’m used to which is what I wanted. Great review and ride safe.

Interesting that the new F800GS has another 10 bhp and a bit more torque, even though it only gains 50cc. Perhaps BMW noted your comments!

Only issue I had with the bike is the windscreen is too small and if you need to give it stick to get going the wind resistance is a bit too much and can be a pain ,front wheel size on 750 vs 700 the 750 feels more stable over 130kph speed the 700 is a bit washy in the front

I have one and I don’t feel the acceleration lag..but you are more experienced for sure. Mine have that engine management thing, and it engine breaks perfectly. I rather use it in road mode, I fell that dynamic mode she becomes very jumpy when you give a little bit of a throttle…but it’s perfect when you want to go to carve some mountain pass. I agree with you, that you can feel the potencial of the engine is there, but as we all know she is factory limited. You can tour, alone, (not with that screen) with no problem, but two up you can feel she would be better with the 95hp that engine can output….

Tudo o que disseste confirma a opinião que já tinha dela. Para quem nos anos 90 teve uma R 80 GS, as actuais BMW não entusiasmam; falta-lhes qualquer coisa de indefinível. Mas se calhar é apenas nostalgia.

I got the 2021 bmw 750 for my first motorcycle. It is perfect for new riders like myself though. My only grudge is the nav costing 800 dollars. I will get rid of the nav holder since I won't be buying one due to the cost.

I sense you are not very enthusiastic about that bike...I also have doubts about that engine, and really expect that the new F900R bring a brighter response. Let's see ✌️ Great hug my friend

@@TheForeigner68 Says the BMW F800GT rider - which I found dull as dishwater on a test ride. It's all subjective I guess.

So, bottom line, as a F800GT owner, would you swap bikes if you could do it for free? Which one do you prefer to ride?

    Hello,
I am the owner of one F750GS, and I have a problem with vibrations on the left footpeg. It is especially noticeable after 4000 RPMs. Does anyone have the same issue, and is there a solution for that?

The torque is 83Nm at 6000rpm f850gs 86 Nm 6250 rpm. A bit puzzled. Rode the 800 terrible bike.were all different.

One should drop down a gear to get into power band to over take. Unless your obviously doing 70mph, So your power is there, a 6 gear pull from 50mph at 3k revs ? Your nuts.

You talk about not using it for a long distance bike, then compliment how comfortable it is, THEN complain about a pillion ? Umm... ? Leave the wife at home, perfect touring bike.
Also - Sits in 6th gear and wants it to take off like a rocket to overtake....?

    Hi,
“15” minutes riding bike....is not a lot to describe the bike...
I miss more agility ride...in this way of riding every bike is boring.
    Regards.
