- I have been playing mostly Guild Wars 2 as my main MMO for the past decade. Now it's time to really do a proper deep dive into other mmo's. We are starting off with none other than WoW Classic. Well, this is a bit of a long one. The longest in the series so far in fact. I did want to keep the entire recording session in one video as I feel like it all belongs together. We explore pretty much all of the Blackrock Depths dungeon and get a ton of quests done. We're also getting a lot of experience so level cap should be hit somewhere in the next 2 video's I'm guessing. As always I'll gladly hear from you guys if you have any recommendations moving forward. Enjoy! (does anyone ever read these btw?)
Not sure if you figured it out already since I didnt watch the last 2 videos yet, but the green spirit something items are garbage and armor value is fully irrelevant as a warlock. You mostly want spell damage, spell hit (up to a point) and spell crit. The Ring with Fire resistance and stamina from the last boss wouldve been not bad to get some fire resistance going for Molten Core.
The beer you got for the quest in Kharanos is a different one than the beer needed in brd so theres no need to keep it.
The only quests you really need is the attunement quests. Molten Core you did already, Onyxia you've probably finished as im writing this comment and Black Wing Lair still to be discovered. All other quests are more or less optional. Some might have semi good rewards, but nothing mandatory.
Edit: That doesnt mean that you shouldnt do them, just that they are not absolutely neccesary.
Nice! I was looking forward to the full BRD run. Dungeons in general are always a highlight. Now, to your question about gear, in general, you should aim for Spell Power > Spell Hit > Intellect > Stamina. You do not need Spirit at all, as in combat, mana regeneration from Spirit kicks in only after 5 seconds of not casting. And since you have your Life Tap, it's pointless to just wait [that's why you want Int for mana and Stam for HP that you can Life Tap from].
One addon I can recommend you is Atlas loot Classic. It shows you all dungeon bosses and their loot, so you can see where to go for pieces you like. Running BRD a bit more to finish the Ony attunement and hopefully getting some more gear would be good. Once 60, running Lower/Upper Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Stratholme, Demon Fall Canyon and 3 Dire Maul wings will be the best [a lot of content to record here :]. Level 60 gear is a nice bump in power compared to the leveling gear and once again - it's really fun to watch dungeons. That and reading through questlines.
Oh, one more thing, that trinket you won is really good. Probably the best trinket you can have at his point in the game. You can switch the one that gives you stats when hit. You do not want to get hit anyway.

As for the gear priorities. I do try and keep that in mind for most of it and I think my analysis at the end aligned fairly well. However I do remember reading something about spirit being more useful because of some conversion that they added in SoD. Although I'm not clear on the details. It might require an item or something.
Also great sum up of all the remaining Dungeons. The plan is definitely to cover them all. Would you recommend still trying to do all the quests for those dungeons? I'm totally down to track them down, but the ones that reward a piece of heavy armor and no more lore than "kill this dude" feel a bit less fun when XP is no longer interesting 😂
I guess I could look up some guides that show the most useful ones to do and their rewards. But I'm open to any advice.
Glad you're liking the longer videos. Seems most people agree. I'm always a bit hesitant as a lot of people seem to get scared off by longer videos. But I guess classic wow isn't exactly a "zoomer energy" crowd. Somehow the algorithm is also pushing them within the first 24h as opposed to them only being pushed about 2 days after being live. Don't know why exactly but it seems like a good sign 👍
@@EkayTech Hi, for dungeon quests at level 60, I'd still do them unless they are a pain to complete, since once you no longer get XP, you will get more gold for them instead [I think there is some XP-Gold ratio there]. One huge [and expensive :D] questline I'd recommend is D2 [Dungeon Set 2] questline, that starts in Throne room of Ironforge with Q An Earnest Proposition. The Questline sends you to run dungeons to find pieces of Dungeon Set [D1] and then upgrade it to better version as the questline goes. It's long, has fairly interesting story and culminates with one of the hardest dungeon bosses in Vanilla. It will also teach you how to summon some harder optional bosses in some lvl60 dungeons.
Then, once you get some nice lvl60 dungeon gear, I'd recommend to read up a bit on Molten Core and Onyxia tactics. It's really nice to see the playthrough being mostly blind, but even though these raids are mostly easy, there are some tactics, that can quickly wipe the raid due to bad positioning and such, so it will be better to know about them beforehand.
Good thing is, that there are desirable drops in those raids even after new content phase has rolled out, so I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem to find groups for it.
@@EkayTech correct, 1,5 hour is like nothing for a true WoW player, that's just the average consumables farm for next wednesday's raid.....

The Winsor quest is one of the most annoying quests in the chain, congrats on getting it. Also, nice to read the quest for once, I think we were all rushed to accept it without reading.
I think I have to go back a few more times for the quest chain. So I'll be visiting that dungeon a whole lot. But it's a great experience. I'm also glad that I get to share the quest dialogue with you as I reckon 99% of players just rush past it for the rewards.

Haha yeah I'm always extremely critical of my audio and want it to be the best it can be. It annoys me that I'm never satisfied but I think most people have that. Glad to hear both are good though :)
