I used to watch these guys every Saturday for years. I loved it when it was early on, now it just seems like the do insane builds with unlimited budgets. I love the older shows because it's practical and affordable projects that just about anyone could do
Same here used to look forward to watching this on Saturdays
Insane how time and technology have moved on.
THAT IS ONE BADASS GROCERY GETTER!!! THE PERFECT FAMILY HAULER!!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Love this show
4:3 nostalgia.
Beautiful Chevelle Wagon brother
Childhood memories, these guys were awesome
Good o’l days, watched it every Saturday morning
I LOVE STATION WAGONS!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I LOVE MY HOT ROD FAMILY & I LOVE MY STREET ROD FAMILY!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
These guys were the reason why I had cable tv
Surreal watching the show when Chuck was still on there, cuz thats been a while. Seems like when Mike took over , things were pretty good, but then it seemed like there was some real tension and bad attitude toward Joe, from Mike. Anyhow, the show is a blast from the past, and reminds me when i was young :)
why did you use rectangular port gaskets with oval port heads ??
Dang, 454 ci + s/c is only 330 at the wheels?! We’re sure spoiled nowadays, by comparison. Those figures with modern tech would be beyond pathetic.
That chevelle was brand new when that episode first aired.
Would Holly EFI work on top I see they offer a 750 EFI kit🤷
Joe and Chuck???? This is OLD! 20 - 30 years old? I've been watching this stuff for a LONG time. 😁
Aired in 1999, 23 years old!
Wait......barely 300 on a blown big block? Am I missing something?
Yes, missing horsepower,
nope that was about it back in the day, It wasn't until heads got a lot better the numbers changed, ANd that 330 was through the transmission and full front drive, today it would have ran on a stand with an electric water pump and made mid 400s. But no one rides and engine stand so those numbers are meaningless
All before aluminum heads were common and this was the norm back then. A stock 454 isn’t going to rev like todays engines but I would bet that was pumping 600ft tq
The wagon is losing about 100 horsepower thru the drive train! Should have put on better cylinder heads n camshaft!!!
I miss those guys
Whatever happened to Sam momolo?
I need a truck but I'm not paying new truck prices.
I'm going to buy a square body k10/20 and fix it up.
Then drive it for a million miles over the next 30 years. I'll set the sucker up to run on straight ethanol and distill it myself if I have to if the hippies screw everything up and fuel gets too expensive.
I wonder what year this episode came out
early 2000s I think or 1998
"I won't have to worry about my ice cream melting anymore", no, now you can worry about paying the speeding ticket instead!
110hp is a pretty good gain
God thats one BAD weld on that frame. God id hate to be the owner/driver. Granted i love these guys, that weld is a no go
That crossmember was a bit sketchy looking.
@@bmstylee it was the front end off a mustang i believe. You bevel and cleanup your material, then you do your welding. These guys just rushed it
From 2:10 to 2:34, there is no sound.
Why would you put a smaller carb on a blower motor? Guess we can tell who lines their pockets.
Gas is roughly $4.50 gallon w/$6.00 a gal estimated by the end of summer... dreaming is great but reality is a slap in the wallet guys!
Where's the 'intercooler?'
Old school roots style blowers don't usually use intercoolers
They don’t operate with an intercooler, feeds air from the top, compresses it in the middle, and dumps it out the bottom
330whp from a supercharged 454...
Weak sauce lol
👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Why not just add on a nitros kit?! Lot cheaper. Lot less work.
Why does this guy double click the torque wrench every time? Lol
I dont think i would have put a blower on that motor.
A rear mount Squires turbo kit!
That's way too small for a 454.
330hp LOL
I miss Chuck and Joe. The stuff now sucks
220hp from a 454 😂😂😂
Good ol days …. Before “Go Brandon” screwed the pooch..
I never liked Chuck.
The lunatics in the Biden White House has gas prices quickly heading towards $10/gal. I am far more interested in bolt on gas mileage improvement than horse power. And I have already followed Obama's advice of putting air in my tires.
We can just use the hot air coming out of the Biden administration, that will fill every tire in America
