- Joe Elmore and Chuck Hanson install a Paxton supercharger on a GMC truck.
I do not own the rights to this program or any other TNN/ Spike TV related Program.
I grew up watching Joe and Chuck. I always looked forward to Saturday mornings on TNN.
Rest Easy Joe 🙏🏽
Sad day
Good lord! Look at Freiberger. Pre Roadkill days! That hair is crazy. 😁
This show made me the gearhead I am today. I miss the TNN days. Rest in peace Joe we are all gonna miss you buddy.
This is great!! I remember getting up early on Sunday when I was still in High school , me and my dad watched this together. Damn good trip down memory lane . Thank you 🙏 ❤️
I did the same thing. Not with my dad but I did the same thing.
Rest in peace Joe
This was my Saturday morning cartoons as a kid
Oh my horsepower Gods, I truly appreciate the trip down memory lane with the old commercials
It brings back so many memories they even have all the commercials I love it
The Nashville Network. The memories this brings back.
I totally felt like a kid again watching this and some of the commercials! Thanks for the walk down memory lane
You’re welcome, I have more coming
TNN and SpeedVision… my weekend mornings!
I wish they would release these on DVD .They only have the newer seasons
I'd buy all of em if they were on DVD too
RIP Joe.
RIP Joe
I can actually remember watching this when it aired.... what a great trip to my high school days
I used to watch these back before they became reruns. Ol Joe and was a great actor? Chuck was the better personality of the series. I haven’t seen Buddy Parrot in ever. Wow I’m getting old! Great YT posts!
Rip Joe
Those were some great times on Saturday, it motivated me a lot, I would then work on my car and hang out with my dad, going to the junk yard for auto parts, I just had a great time back then.
Fond memories of nursing a hangover and watching the automotive show lineup on Sundays.
I miss this show.
better times and they weren't all that long ago. glad to see the old commercials too.
Thank you so much for uploading these. I watched these every weekend when I was in middle school. Good memories.
I have a lot more I need to upload

That lions mane on the boy back in the day hahaha
The good ole days. I met joe and chuck at ocharlies in Goodlettsville tn. For a night of beers and car talk. I had a great time i think that was in 2001
Grew up on these guys and these shows!
Great Old Video Buddy 🙏🦊🐎😎🍀🌳I miss the ol tv show days.. this is Awesome cause I Graduated in 97'😎🙏
So much of the inspiration for what i do today started watching these with my dad !
I miss these days of good car TV shows. Of course David Freiburger has to be there
Husky hand tools is truly the best hand tools on the planet
Yea they good and cheap
I remember when it was called Horsepower TV. Back when Joe and Chuck hosted the show, before Mike Galley joined. Chuck and Joe always had good chemistry. Now Chuck runs the American Chevelle Enthusiast Society and Joe is hosting Detroit Muscle.
Joe @ 8:27 “air is free”
Al Gore: this gives me an idea.
I totally enjoyed all of 37 pixels
My left ear thanks you for posting this!
I had the pleasure of meeting Chuck Hanson on 2005. Super humble and kind man. At the time , I’d no idea he’d lost a son to a car accident. I miss these days
@TheDavidFreiburger that mullet yo.
Memories of the good days
Reminds me of my early childhood.
Love your videos, you need a tv shoes like the old Hot Rod shows with the long haired dude
I was watching this and being nostalgic watching when I was a kid. My niece came in and said why is it so fuzzy. I said there hasn't always been hd tvs. I blew her mind.
This is when I started watching the shows.
Hey I remember this now I used to watch this when I was in prison.
My brother was born in sandwich Illinois.
Very much appreciated video that was recommended for me. Thank you very much Jon!
Rip joe we will miss you😢
RIP
Back when tv was worth watching
What a deal! All that shiny boost & 2 more injectors for only $3000! Man things have really changed for the better. I really wanted to see a dyno run & see it lay down some big numbers. They said it adds 90 tire shredding hp. So a tbi 350 is rated at 210hp at 4000rpm giving it a healthy 6psi of boost should get you all the way to 300 crank hp. It’s amazing to think this wasn’t that long ago. Now a days you can do a cam swap & headers on a 5.3 and be well over the 300whp mark for less than a grand. And we all know what spooly bois are doing for around $3k.
Chuck and Joe, Mel and Stace
The original pioneers
Damn, I didn't know it was known as Hot Rod TV, as named after the popular Hot Rod Magazine.
That supercharger looks like something from the 60s. The size to boost ratio is crazy.
I have to wonder if Hot Rod magazine made these guys change the show name. I do miss old Joe Elmore.
I graduated HS in 1996 and I remember when this came out along with Jim Scouten and Motor Trend TV. Is 1997 S1? I still watch PoweNation all the time.
Same here. I have been watching episodes on my phone or on streaming and it still holds up well. However what is Motortred is ok. Yes they have All Girls Garage, Truck U and and Gears and they hold up, but they are not the same as on PowerNation with maybe the exception of Gears. MT, does have other good shows like FantomWorks, MotorWeek and that is about it. Mostly scripted shows that I can't stand.
Even MotorWeek is starting to lose their luster. They mostly complement every car they get their hands on. No real reviews. Goss' Garage is the only good segment.
@@Andrew-zv4fm Gears is really the only new vehicle show I can get into watching. Cant say i like much of anything with the new shows other than that one. Its literally because that's Stacy David's show and he has creative control.
Unfortunately now shows like Shade Tree Mechanic wouldn't work very well, Trucks fell off after Stacy left.... and Hotrod.... which became Horsepower was awesome back then but changed over time to a not watchable show for me. That one is just outta nostalgia.
Now I've seen current shows from power nation with no pre planning to project vehicles the current offroad show actually aired doing silly shit that shows no desire to have a finished vehicle that the parts dont interfere with each other. "A motor mount through a header?"....... why would that even be allowed to air?.
Wow Freiburger and that hair!!
These shows are few and far between. The only thing that comes close to this are shows that you can stream. Motortred does have a small handful of the shows, but it is not the same.
55 bel air has good craftsmanship and alot hp
Sad to see all the collectable vehicles getting thrashed like the Jeep J 10 pickup and the first gen Broncos, but did like David Freiburgs' mullet...lol
Hey Jon McAlexander, do you have any American Shooter episodes on TNN from 1997?🙂
Rip
Was a reason ever given why HOT ROD pulled out of this show? I just remember the first time I tuned in and it because Horse Power TV, and was scratching my head.
3:14 freiburger back in the day 😳😳😳
My dad still has that same drill
Before Joe Elmore developed the Sam Elliott voice...
Ahhhhh the good ole pre-slurr joe days
Young hot rodders should all see this just to get an idea how difficult it was to make horsepower back in the day vs today.
I live in sandwich the fairgrounds are basically my backyard.
This became “Power nation/Engine Power” later on. Joe has white hair in the mean time‼️ Promoting Hot Rod parts, in the mean time, has likely been like a license to print money for the production company! No wonder they have state of the art shop equipment‼️ Prolly should have even more equipment………..
Kudos to Pat and Bill. Loyal soldiers………
Hey folks its Bill Colington.
Home depot is the place to shop
i just susbicrbed to joes channel
David from road kill is on there? ??
Damn, look at David Freiburg hair lol.

What happened to guy on the right ?
If you mean Chuck, he left after his only son died in an accident during the Chevelles Across America event.
@@alex1949 oh that sucks.
