Hey guys it looks like someone is trying hurt the channel. They have assigned a "Bot" to create a bunch of dislikes on this video and I am sure some of the future uploads. I just heard today from several other guys this is happening to them as well. The best way to help offset this is if you enjoyed the video please hit "like" and also leave a comment. I feel bad from Brandon because he thinks 1000 people don't like the video...lol....I told him it would be ok...:) We will reach out to UA-cam to fix the issue....Thanks for the support!
That is by far, one of the most generous efforts I have Ever seen on UA-cam. You deserve a huge pat on the back, and a REAL Man's handshake for that. Thanks for your Honesty. It is A rare thing these days. Great Video.
Brandon, I loved Part 1 of this “Found a Boat,” episode! Never thought I’d witness Scott’s boat on fire, and then you add an abandoned boat! Great job, guys! Forget about the trolls. Y’all are doing a great job!
I NEVER comment on videos. However, seeing all the negativity and also that Scott mentioned a bot attacking this video's reputation I decided I need to because I support the channel, Scott, and everything he does for the sport that I love. Scott is progressing the sport of fishing in many ways. Not only competitively, where he continues to show his worth and talent as well as his integrity and respect for his fellow angler and competitor as well as his love and respect for the sport, the outdoors, the industry and the business' that live inside the industry making the life of a fisherman possible. I don't see why or how anybody who commented negatively on this video or mentioned that he was "trying to steal the boat" could possibly draw that conclusion from this video, especially if you follow Scott and his channel. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with Brandon desiring the boat or having hope that it was a result of something where there were no registered owners like theft or narcotics trade. Personally, I would have hoped the SAME THING. Who wouldn't find it nice to have the possibility of getting a Salt Water ready fishing boat at the cost of a single days work and innovation? That was a rhetorical question, because I believe that no matter how righteous anybody tries to act the answer is NO ONE. Firstly, we don't know if Scott planned this ahead of time and had already talked to the owner before doing him a MASSIVE favor; filming the episode the way he did for theatrical purposes. If that was the case, I see nothing wrong with that; we watch this for entertainment and in that case that's what Scott was doing, entertaining us. If that was not the case, he removed a massive item of litter from a wild place, did a guy a giant favor, and has video evidence of it all as well as the scene of the boat "crash" if the owner did want to file a claim. What's more, he called the owner immediately after the boat was safe and salvaged. I'm going to presume that Scott didn't ask for any compensation what so ever for this. How can this be a negative thing? Those who say it was literally boggle my mind.
I meant to add the other way Scott is progressing the industry, that is he is progressing the sport in media by paving uncharted territory in doing business via media with fishing essentially opening a door for other fisherman to follow in his footsteps doing what they love. If you don't believe that, in my opinion, it means you're lazy and don't let yourself believe it because you don't want to accept the fact that you are scared of the hard work and uncertainty that would be caused by chasing such a wonderful sounding life and dream.
Legally, do do have a salvage claim. You don't automatically "get the boat", but you are entitled to salvage costs and a monetary reward depending on the value of the boat.
Yea but on old boats who really is going to put a high taxable value on it ? My boats literally worth 7500nada but is registered for 300$.. costs me 23$ a year for taxes n registration,. Lol. Truck pulling it is shittier and that damn thing costs me 263$ a year..
In this case I'd assumed it to be probably around 25%. As there's no imminent threat it be hard-pressed to get a 100% value under salvage law. It's amazing the number of people commenting on here with no clue about the law that think they're geniuses 🤦🏼♂️. It's dumbfounding how little people know about Google lol.
Scott is a class act! I fished a BFL tournament as a co-angler along time ago, like close to 30 yrs or so long, guessing out of Clewiston and we were parked beside him in the water waiting to go out. He was just as real and friendly as he is in these videos. So don’t be haters, this guy paid his dues and earned his way. He was kind to me and I know this is his nature. My wife and I love his videos and they are very entertaining. Keep up the good work. Brandon is cool too!
After you spent hours trying to get that thing unstuck I imagine it was very tempting to keep it, yet You done the right thing by giving the boat back to the rightful owner, another fellow angler. That’s sportsmanship at its finest,it doesn’t get no better than this you earned a new subscriber. 👌
Plus he has hired the best drone driver in the area. Tell him to forget about a boat and invest in a Motor RV that has a deeper hole to pump money into it and maybe get you-all up to Sturgis and Montana to see us. Just freeze for 9ine months or dodge range fires only concern.
That’s the # 1 thing I like , boaters helping boaters. I remember helping tow a boat bigger then mine back to the ramp once and it was like 22 ft and my boat is a 13 ft whaler and a few weeks later the same guy towed me in. Crazy world lol. Helped a fellow whaler owner tow his 17 ft montaulk in and he gave me the mahogany wood seats that he didn’t need for free
Scott, my grandpa found a boat back in the 70’s adrift off the fla keys. Him and his buddies decided they’d salvage the boat so they towed it back to Miami. Long story short ,the FBI came knocking on his door a week later for questioning. The boat was owned by someone who vanished.Could have been a smuggling or drug deal gone wrong, or maybe he fell out, nobody really knows. The details I know from the story are that the boat had a bunch of supplies, ice chest, carton of smokes, water, beer. My grandpa past 3 years ago.He was a fine southern gentlemen and outdoorsman, watching him fish was like poetry in motion. Whenever I watch you and Roland, it reminds me of our fishing trips together. Scott and Brandon VOLUNTEERED their time to retrieve the vessel, and of course there is a cost to do that. You have to be willing to eat that cost knowing this in advance. Knowing they might be able to make a claim or not is a crap shoot. At the end of the day everyone wins because nobody was hurt and everyone got back out on to the water. Everyone needs to help fellow boaters out no matter the circumstances, you never know when you might need a tow!
Ray Robinson You did a good deed! As a fisherman/boater, you know this will return 10 fold! Be proud to lend a hand anytime. I just subscribed to channel.
For all the haters calling Scott and crew thieves, they obeyed maritime salvage laws. They rescued the boat, then they contacted the authorities with the proper identification on the boat. Had the boat been a drug runner boat, the "rightful owners" would never have came to claim it. The ice in the cooler let them know the boat hadn't been there too long, and legally they have the right to be compensated for the recovery, providing they asked for it. There's no telling if that is what happened off camera, but if it did, they more than earned it. If they did spend 6 hours and breaking several tow ropes and damage to their own boats, they deserve some kind of compensation even if it's a check from the guy's boat insurance. At the end of the day, they returned the boat to the rightful owner and even if they didn't charge him anything because he's a fellow angler, he might return the favor one day for them or for someone else in need. Why can't people just take the good without finding the bad in everything?
How about because he didn't even wait for the damn ice to melt in the cooler. He should have called DNR when it was found and reported it, or called the owner before he touched it. The boat was in no immediate danger, and was not a danger to anyone else. Had he damaged the boat trying to yank it out, would that have been ok? Well who knows because he never tried to contact the owner until AFTER he did all this shit trying to get it.
Yeah I wouldn’t pay him shit , did the owner call him and ask to have it pulled out no they did it on their own . When I push someone’s car out of a snow bank I don’t then go and ask for money ! Scott Martin your a good kind man you did the right thing you always been kind person your freind will get him a boat soon from his good deeds what comes around goes around it will be paid forward over time
Scott dude, awesome! Not too many people would have gone to all that trouble then honestly try to find the owner. I think most would have just left it, and a few may have even taken it and kept it or sold it. Great job fellas! Jack - Canada
tiedupand2twisted he also didn’t ask for them to do it when he told the police he was going to salvage it himself maybe if they rang the police and ran the numbers first they would have known
If Scott Martin pulled my boat out and gave it back I would be one happy SOB! The least I would do is buy a round of beer and have him give me some of them fishin' tricks he's got. Been a FL boy my whole life and not everyone would do a good deed like that my hat goes off to Scott.
Scott, great job! I've met your dad several times over the years and had a long 1hr conversation several years ago at Bass Pro. I like how you took the "High Road" with the boat rescue deal. Yeah I understand how you and Brandon could have gotten rights to the boat (I would have considered it too), but that ruling is basically meant for derelict abandon boats and boats that went adrift from a storm. But this guy had genuinely got it stuck and was in a bad place and was trying to figure out how he could get it out there. So, you did a good deal! Former LaBelle boy here, grew up on the Calusahatchee and use to fish Lake O all the time, tho I'm a saltwater fishing junkie! LoL
New to channel but am enjoying your videos greatly! It is really uplifting to see someone such as yourself having so much fun fishing with family and friends! This is what life should be about instead of all the negativity that is currently in the world. Thank you and your family for taking the time to share the fun and excitement of fishing. I would absolutely love to be able to go fishing with you!
Brandon Christmas bonus needs to be a bass boat. Just a little starter one!!! Lol awesome video. Still should have told the guy you owe me 10 ropes 6 hours and a tank of gas lol
I agree with you. Personally it was a nice gesture. Yet at the same time, what if I was on the way to get my boat out, and some asshole had it on his trailer, about an hour behind where I left from the landing.
Awesome video guys and well done on your find, congratulations. The owner of the boat is a very lucky man for it to be found by you guys who are honest and retrieved it. You guys rock.
That's what happens when you are going full throttle at night in an unfamiliar location. At first I was thinking the guy got stuck, walked on the Reed and was swallowed by the notorious monster gator. Hahaha. Good work boys.
signelengis I grew up on the Waters of Michigan up here in lakes and my neighbor taught me that you always help out a fellow boater always even if you go out of your way always that's the code of the water volume airtime boys in the Navy and the women in the Navy you know this is true so God still works through the Navy still works for the water bless you guys for doing what the old guys taught me I'm 60 years old right now and still love the water I just a shame that the people have changed it's good to see you guys the one they always the old code the honor of the water bless you
So how'd the guy get out of there? Lol. Man such vast acres of land and water it'd be so hard to explain where you're at especially if you don't have GPS coordinates.
Great vid! The beer in the cooler meant it had not been there long. I would have been looking for a body, lol! A good deed, and now you know how to get a boat out of the weeds, good rope is handy for that.
fess w no not your boat. no such thing as salvage now after storms. most likely they have been paid off by the insurance company. if that is the case you have to buy it from the insurance company. there should be numbers on it, owner can be traced that way.
Good job Scott, and Brandon! If a salvage company would have retrieved the boat, then the owner is liable for their fees, or the lose the boat. He was lucky you pulled it out! Good ju-ju! LOL
You commenters don't know if the guy paid or anything. Ice in the cooler means he's near. Number displayed permanently means need file claim. Pulling it out before talking w owner means gamble 50/50 cost returned. Guys lucky to get it back yes. However you got me click baited to watch this video so I think it worked for others so in the end you got paid. Win win for everyone.
I hate when I'm out fishing and my boat ends up 50 feet or more "out of the water".......... 1) Tourneys don't allow beer drinking. 2) Seemed like a punk kid that was out having a good time and rammed it in somewhere he shouldn't have. Then sat back and waited for a good person to do a good deed. I mean seriously.....where was he for 2 days? If that's my boat, I'm trying to get it out of there. Just my perception. Good job Scott and B. Nice gesture.
He was probably completely fuckin wasted when he drove it up on dry land and got out of there before DNR or the sheriff came patrolling by and busted him for OWI
We'll nobody really knows what the whole story is. Maybe the guy didn't have money or couldn't take the time off work or didn't have the right connection. Who really knows"why" he let it sit for a few days, but I think Scott & Brandon we're the answers to his prayers.
I have twin 300 E tecs on my 35' deck boat. When I originally built the deck boat I had a planned on a single 300 mercury outboard. Then a 300 E tec dropped into my lap and on it went . performance wasnt exciting or even adequate for the intended purpose and design. But the conversion to Twin 300 E tecs made all the difference in the world. It increased my cruising speed to a easy 50 mph at half throttle with 6 adults on board + a additional 300 lbs of ice chests etc. Its capable of running 75 - 78 mph at 2/3 of WOT and will run about 80 - 81 mph at WOT on flat water. But the fuel consumption almost doubles between 2/3 and WOT . So 2/3 WOT is the most I push it . The best part was my maneuverability and responsiveness improved dramatically at all speeds. And Great economy considering the performance they provide and piece of mind having 2 engines to rely on instead of 1.
He reminds me of a younger version of myself......like a 12 year old version. Same thing happened to me once and the I was forced to save up and get my own boat.

Next time use an old rubber tire half way in between on your rope. The energy gets transferred into the stretch of the tire and will pull it out.

Glad you found the owner and no one was hurt, its always a reward in itself to be able and help others you're a class act!
SpinnerWorm deserves a boat. He's the GOAT.
Travis Davis maybe he gets Scotts boat from this season once the new one comes around
Another great video Scott. You are one amazing guy. Thank you for being a blessing to mankind.
and no money offered for recovery????/ boy that's not right....What a squeeker he was...
tiedupand2twisted he also didn’t ask for them to do it when he told the police he was going to salvage it himself maybe if they rang the police and ran the numbers first they would have known
@@roudiblunsdon2022 Still, I would of have at least offered to buy him some beers..
@@roudiblunsdon2022 bro yea he didn't ask for them to take his boat out but dam dude at least pay them something 6h taking that thing out
If Scott Martin pulled my boat out and gave it back I would be one happy SOB! The least I would do is buy a round of beer and have him give me some of them fishin' tricks he's got. Been a FL boy my whole life and not everyone would do a good deed like that my hat goes off to Scott.
Holy shit batman......ice cold michelob ultras!!!!! That's what's up! 👍🏼
i heard that!
Pussy
LoL
lmaoooo epic! Brandon "there goes my boat... my boat..." lol
Good to see guys who know what being country still means. Love that y'all got that guy his boat back
You need to get Brandon a boat. Got the poor mans hopes up. Do a live stream and get donations. I'm in for $5!
matthewtiii i got 20 on it
New to channel but am enjoying your videos greatly! It is really uplifting to see someone such as yourself having so much fun fishing with family and friends! This is what life should be about instead of all the negativity that is currently in the world. Thank you and your family for taking the time to share the fun and excitement of fishing. I would absolutely love to be able to go fishing with you!
You'll get your boat brandon, probably sooner than you think because you are a good person. I pray for your success buddy !
Brandon Christmas bonus needs to be a bass boat. Just a little starter one!!! Lol awesome video. Still should have told the guy you owe me 10 ropes 6 hours and a tank of gas lol
That boat wasn’t just stuck, it was solidly run a ground!
Omg!! I love how Brandon is longing after the boat as the guy pulls away. That was an awesome thing you did by getting it out for the owner.
That poor young man was all excited 😂🤣. Well hey you guys kick serious serious ass, that was really cool.
LOL He is working that story to the owner boy. lol Almost died trying to get your boat.
Yeti cooler. Could have been out there for a week.
Mayby because of beer, boat ended up like that in first place😂😂😂😂
@@yevgeniyfureyster5785 😂😂
Thanks Scott and Brandon! Scott, I was your co at Wheeler one year. Been following your career. Appreciate your helping this guy and many others.
That was cool as hell! Bless you guys.
Life goals.. having multiple boats to choose from !!!!💯💯
That boat wasn't there that long. There's still ice in the cooler. The owner went to get help. It's a bit early to take their boat.
Albert Gallagher did you even watch the whole video? They found the owner and returned it to him.
I agree with you. Personally it was a nice gesture. Yet at the same time, what if I was on the way to get my boat out, and some asshole had it on his trailer, about an hour behind where I left from the landing.
Dumbass watch the whole video
I think contacting the authorities prior to touching the boat would have been the way to handle the situation
He said they were there all day trying to get it unstuck so he could have came while there were getting it out
Sorry Brandon... But that was awesome of you guys to get that boat out. You both Rock!!!
Oh that guy was drunk off his ass for sure.
Andrew Miller litt🔥🔥🔥
Awesome video guys and well done on your find, congratulations. The owner of the boat is a very lucky man for it to be found by you guys who are honest and retrieved it. You guys rock.
I really enjoy your genuine laid back lifestyle, and how you live. Your posts are interesting.
That's what happens when you are going full throttle at night in an unfamiliar location. At first I was thinking the guy got stuck, walked on the Reed and was swallowed by the notorious monster gator. Hahaha.
Good work boys.
if someone did that for me I'd be really happy. it would prbly cost a hell of a lot more to have a professional pull it out
Brandon...easy come...easy go !!
Buy Brandon a 14' flat bottom with a little 10hp... Spinnin' worm special.
I'm sure he could get it donated just for the marketing on the video.
Get him a 14' Jon Boat with a Jet Ski engine. He'll be able to go anywhere Scott does, plus fish, even in shallow water!
signelengis I grew up on the Waters of Michigan up here in lakes and my neighbor taught me that you always help out a fellow boater always even if you go out of your way always that's the code of the water volume airtime boys in the Navy and the women in the Navy you know this is true so God still works through the Navy still works for the water bless you guys for doing what the old guys taught me I'm 60 years old right now and still love the water I just a shame that the people have changed it's good to see you guys the one they always the old code the honor of the water bless you
Roland owns a marina down there. The Martins could more than likely make a good deal happen for Brandon in the boat department.
Very gentlemanly of you to help out a guy like that!
There was cold beer in the cooler! Drone footage is awesome.
Scott’s the man. Haha, we’ll done 👏🏼
I hope he had the decency to give y'all something man, don't expect it bit y'all deserved it
Great job...great video....great people!!!
So how'd the guy get out of there? Lol. Man such vast acres of land and water it'd be so hard to explain where you're at especially if you don't have GPS coordinates.
maybe he wasn't the only boat around at the time
I think that you did a very good thing by giving the guy his boat back. Billy will just have to win a tournament to get his own boat...:-)
Good Karma, you'll have your boat someday Brandon
Dan H I agree, probably sooner than he thinks :)
you can't buy 'class' and 'honor' - Good 4 You Scott to be so 'honest' in always doing the right thing
very kool
I got drunk and lost my boat one night, thank you for finding it.
Great vid! The beer in the cooler meant it had not been there long. I would have been looking for a body, lol! A good deed, and now you know how to get a boat out of the weeds, good rope is handy for that.
How awesome would it be for Scott Martin to rescue your boat? Right? And I already had a name for it too. S.S SPINNER WORM. Good job guys.
fess w no not your boat. no such thing as salvage now after storms. most likely they have been paid off by the insurance company. if that is the case you have to buy it from the insurance company. there should be numbers on it, owner can be traced that way.
Good job Scott, and Brandon! If a salvage company would have retrieved the boat, then the owner is liable for their fees, or the lose the boat.
He was lucky you pulled it out!
Good ju-ju!
LOL
Depicted here is exactly why our current Florida law (NO salvage) makes the most sense and ultimately protects people and property.
Even got a beer, what a class act Scott is.
Scott you're my new hero kid
“We stole a boat”
atta' boys! Way to help your fellow boaters / fisherman / people of earth.
Wow didn’t even offer gas money. Seems like a fishy story to me
he might have off camera
Just because you didn't see it in the video doesn't mean it didn't happen...
True, lotta sketchy people now. Some people might have just pulled it out took the motor and what they could and left the hull. Dude got real lucky.
Great Job Scott amd Brandon! You guys are awesome!
Guy should have at least offered gas money.
he might have done something off camera.
my mind went to a dark place after reading that lol
I'm sure something was worked out.
rangerbull if the owner doesn’t pay what he’s asking for pulling it out he can keep the boat after a certain amount of time if he wanted.
you can't find what isn't lost.
What's not to like? You guys have got it going! Keep up the good work. I like y'all fine!
Agree cooler full of beer..... Wasted!
We'll nobody really knows what the whole story is. Maybe the guy didn't have money or couldn't take the time off work or didn't have the right connection. Who really knows"why" he let it sit for a few days, but I think Scott & Brandon we're the answers to his prayers.
@@motomike007-1 It was ULTRA...lol ..you can't get drunk on "near beer"

You guys are awesome, and yes Brandon deserved the boat!
Send his insurance a salvage bill and spinner worm will have seed money, for a boat.
Oh shit the boat was on fire
Sometimes it sucks doing the right thing. That's what separates the good people. Good job good video
#getspinnerwormaboat!
Great story guys! Enjoyed both episodes!
Brandon sounds so bummed out.
He reminds me of a younger version of myself......like a 12 year old version. Same thing happened to me once and the I was forced to save up and get my own boat.
Why because he didn't get to steal some poor guys boat who got it stuck?
some poor idiot
Brandon is awesome. Great son you have Scott.
Don't sweat it spinnerworm, that boat was fugly bro.
Hi guys
Loved the fact that you did a good deed for a stranger. Who does favors these days.
