    Was this with the 5.0 battery?

      Didn't allude to the battery so makes it a pointless review.

      His original review he was using a 5.0 battery so I assume it is his original battery.

      That's what I've been wondering, he seems to have covered everything but the size of the battery used.

    Really happy to see Echo changed with the times even though they're one of the most respected small gas engine makers.

      @@WilliamsonRidge for sure. I have both kombis the 2100 and 2600, the 2600 is a lot better obviously I have that setup as my trimmer and the 2100 as my blade edger, and prob my hedge trimmer as well due to it being a little lighter.

      Have you tried the blower, I’m thinking about getting a battery blower for small jobs and can’t decide what to get

    • @BigRedServicesLLC
      @BigRedServicesLLC Рік тому +1

      @@WilliamsonRidge yes the blower was the first one I bought. I love it, it does great for normal maintenance jobs; it’s about on par or maybe slightly more powerful than a Stihl BG-86. The small batt doesn’t last as long w the blower as it does the dpas2600 so I prefer the bigger 5.0 ah batt w the blower. It doesn’t do very well for leaf cleanups that’s about only negative I’d say on it.

    You have to take into consideration that the battery is new. Give it a few uses and the battery life is likely going to die down a bit. Having a 2nd battery is almost a necessity when it comes to these battery machines.

    I'm getting mine tomorrow, can't wait till I use it. Im a big fan of echo, so it was no hesitation to buy this. I also got an extra battery to swap out with. I also got the echo blower. Big fan!

    Hello. I have the most inexpensive model i have seen. Its a bauer 20v from hf. It gives you about 20 min with the 5ah battery. if you already have bauer batteries and a small yard its perfect for that on a budget. I would love to try the echo electric. I just bought a srm 225 two days ago also

    Whats the Overall weight with the small battery?

  • @Derek-tk4wf
    @Derek-tk4wf 10 місяців тому +2

    While I love how quiet the battery ones are, at 30 mins runtime, I'd need to take 6-8 batteries for some jobs. And they arent cheap. Looks like Ill stick with the 2620 and 3020's for a bit longer.

  • @MH-Tesla

    Thanks. How much fuel would it take to do the job? To me it's not about total time, it's how much work can you accomplish. Total time isn't a good measure. You did a LOT of trimming of thick tall grass. I just ordered one of these and I'm planning to do a comparison with total amount of fuel vs total watt/hours. My "napkin" math for a commercial lawn service, should save $100 per season per trimmer compared to gas version (including initial cost, maintenance cost, fuel/energy costs.) That's not including the health benefits of not inhaling fumes from the gas version.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  Рік тому

      Yeah I totally get that from a commercial standpoint, but a lot of folks figure how much time it takes to do their trimming and if a battery will last that amount of time to get the job done on one charge or need multiple batteries, but typically at least with the larger batteries like to 5.0Ah it is usually close to one charge equals one tank of fuel or at least somewhat close but it would depend a lot on what your cutting to.

    • @MH-Tesla
      @MH-Tesla Рік тому +1

      @@pokeydiaz210 Cobalt is not needed for many of the lithium ion batteries. However, cobalt is essential to make engines in gas powered cars as well as many other things. You can't make a gas car without Cobalt today. You can make EVs without cobalt.

      So far so good, the trimmer and battery still work fine I’ve used the trimmer every week pretty much doing the trimming at my moms in town, u till this season I haven’t used it as much because I have some other trimmers I have been testing, videos will be coming on them soon

    You still recommend this trimmer? How is the battery any issue ?

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  2 години тому

      Yes this is my favorite battery trimmer so far, I love how the battery and the motor are in the back where the motor would normally be making it feel balanced like a gas trimmer others have the motor at the head making them really nose heavy, so far no trouble with the batteries and the 5.0ah has great runtime and can get a lot accomplished on one charge
