    Hey there ! I love your soundscapes, they help me a lot in my daily life. So I had a recent accident and some surgeries. What I want to go into is that at the last operation the anesthetist propose me to play some music before beginning the surgery, and I choose one of your soundscapes. This helped me to calm down. So basically I just want to thank you for all your great job you re doing.

      Thank you for taking the time to write this, hope your surgery went well. It's extremely humbling to hear how my recordings helped you and I'm happy my work helped you calm down. That's more rewarding than I could have possibly hoped for.

    It's such a great experience to be immersed in these sounds... I'll never be able to travel to a rainforest, so it's such a gift to be able to experiment its atmosphere. Thank You!!

    Yes! I listen to those to calm down before sleep and night-time ones are what I prefer because it seems more natural. Anyhow, I'm a dedicated fan of your videos in general! :D

      Wonderful, thank you for the kind words. They're all 100% natural, no shenanigans, loops or sound design here.

    This is one of my favorite recordings to date. Does anyone know the name of the bird coming in at 35:03?

      Thank you, those are Great blue turacos (Corythaeola cristata). One of my favourite species from that part of the world.

    Omg the tree hyrax 😂😳 I can’t believe that sound! The epitome of desperation 🤣 Gosh, I’d never heard anything like that from the animal kingdom, eerie indeed 👏 awesome adventurer, You’re brave, man! Even in the jungles of Africa you’ve bee! Are there any dangerous or poisonous animals in those jungles? Were you ever afraid?

    • @GeorgeVlad
      @GeorgeVlad  3 роки тому

      Haha, there are plenty of dangerous and venomous creatures in the rainforest, but I think I'm in more dangerous on a walk through London than I am in the actual jungle. You can read more about my trip and encounters at mindful-audio.com/blog/2019/8/8/sound-recording-expedition-to-the-congo-rainforest

    Do you know which viper species this is? It reminds me of the Eyelash Viper, but if the picture was taken in Congo, it must be another species.

    • @GeorgeVlad
      @GeorgeVlad  3 роки тому

      It's a bush viper, probably Atheris hispida. It does look a bit like a pit viper.

      @@GeorgeVlad It's really beautiful. The shot you took is great, especially the hues on the eye.

    • @laurentmorin1923
      @laurentmorin1923 3 роки тому

      Oh wait, I think it is an Atheris Squamigera. The Hispida has a more bristled head and its head is less triangular. In any case, the picture is really great, thanks for sharing.
