    Dare i say The spiritual crisis has a direct correlation on the mental health crisis. Humans are meant to have a spiritual aspect to life. it doesn't matter how, just that it is there. thank you for sharing.

    I like what you said. No one has the authority over the Spiritual. The Spiritual has to be experienced and lived with freedom and creativity.

    In this culture of instant gratification and emotionally bankrupt mentality,staying calm, kind and focused on sth true and deep is the only form of rebellion possible.Great video Mr.A

      However, it may be harder than ever. We are in a time where we are in constant contact with hundreds of people, if not thousands, and each person sharing their beliefs, religions, their spiritual endeavours, insights etc. It can be quite overwhelming so much information all at once, and this can be quite overwhelming, leading people to abandon spirituality or make a mess out of it. All the best my friend and thank you for your feedback. Be well!

      OK but then does that create the proliferation of 'New Who' ...has the Right Way (sic). And if glib of mannerism and 'seeming' powerful will suck in those 'seeking' and not yet finding?
      Imo I expect something larger to unite humans but I fear what it might be as much as I trust that is the only potential rese t that could wk. But just my humble view near the end of a life time. t@@ArithHärger

    Thank you for this video. I struggle when I try to express this very point because I do get accused of gatekeeping. But you are absolutely right! It can't be a wasteland of madness. It loses its meaning when its diluted to the point of everything and anything and it's capitalized on left, right and sideways.

    Oh look, Santa Paws is coming to town! 😸😻
    Tons of witches, shamans, priests/esses even Volur have sprung up like mushrooms after the rain, hundreds of books “Witchcraft 101”, are being published these days... We have all been sincerely looking for Masters - but true, wise Masters are rarely found on TikTok or Instagram and if a person is not willing to work hard, to look inside him/herself to find their answers, well, frankly, Pokémon are more than fine, there are worse things to worship...
    Thank you, Arith. 💚

    The commercialism of religion/spiritualism has been an ongoing issue for some time. It seems people searching for a way to discover themselves tend to gravitate to physical things to give them a connection to something larger than themselves. The tendancy is to rely on images and objects as a way not to focus on their inner journey.to find their way to become a part of the world. Peer pressure plays a huge part in the desire to be accepted by others and feel as if they matter to others. Thence crosses, pentacles, images, statues, etc.. all serve the similar purpose to this end. Thanks to the techno gods, chaos and confusion have raged rampant. However i still take example from the natural world around me and find an inner peace and acceptance of life as it is/might be in all her cycles. The collective has little effect as i refuse to let it do so.

    The kinds of "spiritual influencers" who become popular and successful are often shallow and pretentious in ways that resonate with the lowest common denominators (e.g. greed, the wish to bypass difficulties with feel-good tropes, narcissism, etc.) among people living in materialistic cultures with the spiritual thirst, while sincere people who challenge widespread cultural prejudices often end up getting gaslit and scapegoated by the people whose prejudices are being challenged.

    Beautifully said. There is great value in the contrast and without it we cannot appreciate anything. It makes sense that many spiritual practices include a day of rest, fasting, meditation, not talking, etc..
    Regarding meaning, I view existence as meaningless in the sense that it is a blank canvas that we give meaning to by virtue of culture, physical abilities and environmental circumstances. I think understanding that is freeing and allows us to give meaning and purpose that is not solely dependent on the authorities around us unless we want to.

    I think, for all the spirituality, we've lost the sacred. We're so busy, so overwhelmed, so over-stimulated, that we forget the sacred, quiet moments.
    I make the same mistake.
    But I think what we need most, for all communities, is a sense of hope.
    Also Arith, your kitten looks very much like mine. Give a pat from me.

    I think all humans have seen the same things. Over the millennia we’ve developed books and belief systems to understand what we see. Instead of learning from each other, we go to war about who has the right explanation.
    That said, I agree now. I used to be more “spiritual”. I stopped caring awhile ago. People are so desperate for connection and meaning. But instead of finding it they just get OF subscriptions and participate in washed out dumbed down versions of various belief systems.

    In America, I think people latch on to anything because we don't have a culture here. Even the blend of Christian/European culture/holidays has faded. Tradition is all but lost. New citizens from anywhere eventually dissolve into this. Honestly atleast some of the Christians still hang on to family and Tradition.

    • @keikonooner3756
      @keikonooner3756 Місяць тому

      Parts of my family came from Europe and brought those traditions with them. We didn't steal them. They were already a part of my families history and practice. We do have a culture. Part of that culture is the mixing of cultures. You don't grow up with a Japanese Grandmother without some of those customs running off on you. The United States is very young. We have freedom of religion and it's not unreasonable for some of us to choose a different spiritual path than our families. I was never going to become a Buddhist like my Grandmother and I definitely wasn't going to be a Mormon.

    • @gnostic268
      @gnostic268 Місяць тому

      Agree. Some die hard first and second generation pro-American Dream "my family are immigrants to the Promised Land" would disagree but the U.S. is a settler-colonial diaspora society and trying to erase and displace it's history of genocide and rampant capitalism is getting harder to do. Being a Lakota (Native/Indigenous) with family part of various Native communities in several states, there are continual non-Native outsiders attempting to come into our spaces to steal our teachings and cultural traditions to turn around and promote themselves as some kind of "magical shaman". AI is a huge problem with stealing our languages in order to commercialize and profit off of them. We are still working to return the human remains of our ancestors from museums and universties along with repatriating items stolen from our ancestors which has been happening for hundreds of years. There will always be Americans with rose colored glasses however.

    I think it is very difficult for people to culturally unlearn what has been programmed into them, even if they aren't fervent believers. Like, I was a soft Christian as that was what i was by default. I didn't know you could just, ya know, talk to the spirits and they would listen. It took me years, and a great deal of your videos tbh, but I am more, as you say, liberated spiritually than I ever was when I followed a dogma. I feel more connected to the gods I work with. I feel like what is asked of me is more crystal. I feel more connected and at peace with the earth and all the things that call it home. In being more connected, the fear of being finite and fleeting no longer scares me. I have reconditioned myself to not fear the natural process where I give back what was bestowed to me.
    I digress. Going back to my point of people unlearning things, I think it is natural for some to latch onto the spiritual and try to twist it into some sort of dogmatic religion. Instead of learning how to work with the gods and spirits and other persons, it becomes about how to twist what they can offer into what you SHOULD do in order to get what you want. As you said, the spiritual is in the mundane. If we are cognizant and mindful of what we are doing, spirituality should flow like water around what we are doing while being a good citizen of this planet.

    I just stumbled over this channel...with algorithmic help. It's an instant subscribe. Here in The New World, everything is juggle balls, sometimes in a hand, mostly in the air...or maybe everything is determined by Darwinian stupidity. Metamodernism is coming more and more into view; the undecidability between sincerity and cynicism. We'll see. So much of modern culture, certainly American culture, is just bullshit and noise. Spiels and schtick. But like you said, everything can be a starting point so long as it is a point.
