Tnx for the info. I live in a city somewhere in Asia where surprisingly roller is not popularly used. I have hard time arguing with contractor bec the finish is absolutely bad, I can see brush lines here and there, uneven paints, etc. Gave me so much headache. I painted my own older house before using roller with brush for those areas where roller is not effective and never had such issue. So I’m checking here in YT if roller vs brush is still like a horse vs cars back in the day when cars started rolling the streets. As it seems some traditional painter here is using brush all the way. This is a small standard aparment 3 bedroom.
Sounds like your contractor took "brush with greatness" a bit too literally! Maybe you should show them that roller vibes can be just as classic as a good ol' horse-and-carriage ride!
@@tools-zone lol 😅yeah true enough I recently got argument with contractor and I asked directly why I don’t see any rollers in their tools, they said they’re avoiding using it as it leaves pattern marks. 😂 I was surprised that this roller method can subjective on cultural rather than universal. No wonder it took almost 3 weeks to finish my small 3 bedroom apartment (600sqft). Now I have to settle for seeing brush lines since for them these brush lines are not regarded as pattern, but to me its annoying to see 😂. I saw they have 6- 8” brush that looks like a dried haystack , so I guess that’s the culprit.
Paint rollers can cover a larger surface like walls and ceiling and consume less paint. But you should consider the nap length according to your surface.
