One of the top Southern rock bands. "La Grange" is probably their masterpiece. Also 'Tush" "I'm Bad and Nationwide" "Legs" "Gimme All Your Lovin" Lots of other great songs.
Tush, La Grange, Rough Boy, Legs....ZZ Top had some great tunes. By all means, do some more. And Sam can dance if she wants to. This is the kind of music that's made to get folks moving.
Such a fun song! This rock band was formed in 1969. They were popular for their live performances, sly humorous lyrics & the matching appearances of Billy Gibbons & Dusty Hill, who wore sunglasses, hats & long beards. Sadly Dusty Hill passed away in 2021. Some of their other hits are "La Grange", "Tush", "Gimme All Your Lovin'", "Legs" etc.
All ZZ Top is good ZZ Top but La Grange is their signature song. They are heavily blues influenced. Further suggestions: Cheap Sunglasses, Tube Snake Boogie, Blue Jean Blues, Waiting For The Bus // Jesus Just Left Chicago (2 songs that should be listened to back to back).
ZZ Top os most accurately descrived as a "Texas Blues Band." "Sharp Dressed Man" is a good example of their 80s music--more commercial, more MTV friendly. Their traditional sound is more exemplified by the songs, "La Grange," "Waitin' On A Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" (a two song medly always played together for no particular reason), "Hot, Blue, and Righteous," "The X," "Driving While Blind."
And yet their 80's sound is what most people in the world knows them for, so respect where respect is due...and just for the record, even though I love all their 'Eliminator' hits, my favorite ZZ Top song is "Rough boy", which is more of a mashup between their earlier sound and the 80's synth-laden sound.
Once again, just scratching the surface......ZZ....legendary! 'La Grange', 'Tube Snake Boogie', 'I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide', 'Tush', 'TV Dinners', 'Blue Jean Blues', the list just goes on & on....
I like the white suit male dancer NOT giving off the disco vibe for a change. I was a teenager in the sixties and always thought ZZ Top was the best party/kegger band going. Shines a light on "ive got a fuzzbox and I'm gonna to use it". Top shelf stuff.👍✌🖖
One the greats! Check out "Legs", "La Grange"(about a brothel that used to be in TX), "Gimme All Your Lovin'", "Tush", "Jesus Just Left Chicago", and "Cheap Sunglasses" is a good start.
I love all ZZ Top. This song is from the early 80s and is what I call their MTV years. You should go back to their earlier work like La Grange or Tush.
In the 70’s, ZZ came on as a Texas blues band. In the 80’s, they became more mainstream with this driving, heavy bass groove, which is when I discovered them. Their videos were in heavy rotation on MTV, and that red hot rod was their iconic calling card. The beards are real. 😁
ZZ Top the little 3 piece band from Texas with the big sound these guys were just cool there's no other way to say it. So many hits, I heard "La Grange" when I was 13 and it's still my favorite ZZ Top track.
This song is typical of 80’s ZZ Top. 80’s ZZ was all about fun, driving rock…great for dancing, working out ……I listened to them on my Walkman while skiing…..really high energy. Saw them in concert in the 90’s…we had good seats but I HAD to get up and go to the back where I could dance! How can you sit still at a ZZ concert? I found it impossible. They still tour, although Dusty Hill, the bassist, passed in 2021. RIP, Dusty…..
Little Ol’ Band from Texas ! Been a fan since 1984. Seen them live and they are the real deal ! R.I.P Dusty Hill. The lead guitar man Billy. F. Gibbons has made some really good stuff in solo projects that i can recommend . Cool reaction as usual. 👍👍👍🇸🇪💕😎
Fun fact the drummer’s name is Frank Beard but is the only one that doesn’t have a beard. Rough Boy is pretty good. This was from the 80’s so they were showcasing their rock abilities. They’re a combination of rock, blues, country, western and southern.
I was born when my dad was 37… So we didn’t see same’s the same too often, but I was in high school and he heard me playing this song and he looked at me and said… They’re right, “Every girl loves a sharped dressed man”. I never forgot that.
Back in the 80's I was invited to see ZZ Top at the Los Angeles Forum. I kid you not, the concert was one of the most entertaining music events I had ever been to. I had no idea how good these guys were live and onstage.
Best Little Band from Texas. This is from the 80's when they were one of the Kings of early MTV, when MTV still played music videos. Their earlier stuff was much more blues driven. La Grange was their first big hit. Just three outstanding musicians that worked really well together. La Grange, Blue Jean Blues or Waitin On The Bus/ Jesus Just Left Chicago would be great examples of their early work.
Just got Paid, Legs, Waitin for the Bus/Jesus just left Chicago-have to listen to those two together. ZZ Top is blues based and their music has stood the test of time. Also they have a fan base that crosses over where fans of different genres like rock, hard rock, metal, speed metal etc… I think it’s because their sound is authentic to who they are and music fans appreciate that. Oh and the music is damn good!! LOL
This song is part of a two album set where ZZ Top embraced a more MTV classic rock feel. Their earlier albums were more bluesy. They are frequently labeled as "Texas Boogie", which if you hear enough of kind of makes sense. Their most well known songs are: La Grange, Tush, Gimme All Your Lovin, Legs, "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide", Cheap Sunglasses, Tube Snake Boogie, Blue Jean Blues, Waiting For The Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago.
ZZ Top have such a mix of sounds they practically have their own sound and genre. Blues, Jazz, Rock, Southern Rock, Ballads, Country Rock, it's all in there. Billy F. Gibbons started in the 60's with a band called The Moving Sidewalks that opened for Jimi Hendricks. Jimi said BFG was one of the greatest guitarists he had ever seen. Along with drummer Frank Beard and bassist Dusty Hill (RIP), they formed ZZ Top. With their first album, Tre Hombres, they started to blow minds away. Have fun doing a deep dive into their entire catalog of songs.
The cool classic car is the ZZ Top car & is in a lot of their videos. And this is their sound & those beards are their look. The band formed in 1969 & toured for 51 years, until Dusty Hill died in 2021. Legends. 'Cheap Sunglasses' is another fav of mine.
ZZTop is pure Texas Blues Rock. Sadly, Dusty Hill passed away in 2021. La Grange is their 1st hit from the album Tres Hombres. That whole album is🔥. They have so many great songs that it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few, but I can definitely recommend La Grange, and Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago to get you started. Those 2 are a set. You have to listen to both. One leads right into the other. Some of my favorites are Rough Boy, Legs, Pearl Necklace, Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers… The list goes on and on. Enjoy. Much love ❤️
ZZ Top Video Run during this era is Absolutely Amazing Legs Sharp Dressed Man Gimme all Your Lovin Great Reaction as Always The ZZ Top Car & Car Keys make another Appearance
Yes as a gentleman I’m totally in favor of having Sam dance and have you sit still ZZ Top is a fun bluesy southern boogie rock band off of Texas. Deep rabbit hole of music
They learned how to perform their style of music and be entertaining at the same time by playing all sorts of honkytonks and bars before they hit it big. ZZ Top reached the stratosphere with the explosion of MTV. It seemed like the song Legs was played every 45 minutes and soon ZZ Top became the face of popular rock group music. They became one of the groups that was a fan favorite on the channel. By 1984 ZZ Top was playing arenas and stadiums. There was a 5-year period when they were the highest grossing band in the world. Just about any song you play during this era of the 1980's will make you want to dance and feel you are at a great party. This is an example of Texas Roadhouse music that you could hear from ZZ Top, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Stevie Ray Vaughn to name a few well-known entertainers of the era. Have a great time and keep up the great fun you have on your reactions.
I bought "Tres Hombres" from a review I read in a magazine. I was a freshman in HS and kept telling everyone about this new band ZZ Top. None of my friends gave the band a listen, but I ended up with the nickname ZZ Bear - the Bear because I was a Bear's fan living in Michigan. Anyway, it wasn't long before ZZ Top got huge and the rest as they say... is History. Although their albums from the 80s were better commercially, I will always love Tres Hombres. So raw. That little ol band from Texas was one helluva power trio.
Really hit their peak from the early to mid 80's Both the albums, "Eliminator" in 1983 and "Afterburner" in 1985, were their best works. Other songs to check, " Legs", "Gimme All Your Lovin'"," Legs", "Sleeping Bags", "Rough Boy", "Stages", and a big thing from the '80s, "Velcro Fly". Love this band. R.I.P. Dusty Hill!
Their music was tons of fun, they always looked sharp and the ladies loved 'em.. easy song for them to write! The 1933 modified Ford coupe in the video sold an an auction for $80,000 a few years back..
The driving rhythm and groove, the swagger of the vocal delivery, the solid beat of the drums. A top rock track from that era. And good to jam before a night out.
The band started in 1958 and this song and album were released in 1983. They had 3 hits from the Eliminator album, Sharp Dressed Man, Legs and Gimme All Your Lovin. Billy Gibbons is the guitarist and lead singer. He is a car enthusiast and owns the car in the 3 Eliminator album videos.
Waitin’ for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago is great. Two separate songs, but they really have to be experienced as one. It’s essential ZZ Top as far as I’m concerned.
The lead guitarist for ZZ Top Billy Gibbons was very close friends with Jimi Hendrixs. When he was very young the band he played in before ZZ Top was an opening act for Jimi's band on one of his tours. Jimi made sure they had adjoining rooms at the hotels so they could get together listen to music and play together in the room. Jimi in an interview called Billy the future of guitar playing. Prety amazing that when you 19 or 20 your idol (billy called jimi that) calls you the future of playing.
I’m from Texas y’all. Billy G was at my moms wedding to 2nd husband. Close Friend of new step dad. Shook his hand. It was huge. Soft and warm. Humble, quiet guy. I had one of those keychains. ZZ-🔑. ‘Blackest white man alive’ they used to say. For the soul in his voice and guitar. Texas rock ⭐️
This reminds me of riding in the back seat of my friends car to the high school football games on Friday night with this song blaring from his Pioneer stereo cassette tape.
These guys are a Texas Rock Blues Band. They are classified as Southern Rock. First coming out we referred to them as Boogie Rock or Blues Rock. Go back to their first or second albums. The mid 80s stuff was more for top 40 radio play as they were evolving with the times but their in your face Blues rock is undeniable ZZ.
This song came out on their 1983 Eliminator album that was filled with hits. They're from Texas to be specific. This a great song to start out with imo! Though lots of great songs from the 70's and 80's. You'll notice the great video which was in the midst of MTV prime hay days.
ZZ Top has been on my playlist/walkman/cassette deck since ~1976. Always a fun listen. They have so many memorable songs. To get a quick glimpse of their styles, I recommend "Jesus Just Left Chicago" (very bluesy), and "Gatsta Get Paid" (more modern southern rock sound), and "Tush" (their more typical southern rock sound).
Check out Billy Gibbons cameo in Rockstar from Nickelback. Love this group. Over the top. Great song from the 1980s. Many great songs from their catalog. Gimme All Your Loving, Tush, Cheap Sunglasses, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide, La Grange, Legs. Many many more.
They are southern blues rock and Billy Gibbons is a really good guitarist - they have a lot of outstanding songs - can’t name them all - there is one called something like "I Gotsta Get Paid" that is just incredible and FUN FUN FUN! You will see the car and girls like this in other videos helping both ordinary guys and girls.
One of the top Southern rock bands. "La Grange" is probably their masterpiece. Also 'Tush" "I'm Bad and Nationwide" "Legs" "Gimme All Your Lovin" Lots of other great songs.
Not southern, Texan…big difference
@@brooksboyd1959their classified as southern rock
@@greenlawler They are, not their…and no they’re not.
ZZ Top was never classified as southern rock, ever.
@@vernhoke7730 You are correct!
Tush, La Grange, Rough Boy, Legs....ZZ Top had some great tunes. By all means, do some more. And Sam can dance if she wants to. This is the kind of music that's made to get folks moving.
Gotta love the Eliminator coupe!
I personally loved all the cars these guys have had in their collection,.especially "Caddzilla"
Such a fun song! This rock band was formed in 1969. I agree, you need more ZZTop......
Yep 👍
only ZZ Top could sing about Cheep Sunglasses, Blue Jeans, Waiting For a Bus, TV Dinners, and make them great!
Not my fave but Tush is their 'signature song'. and the 1970s had their best albums, but still a great band in any era.

And TV Dinners is a guilty pleasure.

‘80’s chicks just hit different.
There are TONS of great ZZ Top songs. Listen to the double song Waitin' For the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago . . .
all time classic 80s rock here! By far my fave ZZ Top song! ♥
You gotta check out their song Gimme All Your Lovin'
Top notch band from little ole Texas!!!

That lil ol band from Texas!
ZZ Top are amazing. Billy is a KING
One of the best three piece band ever. That's so hard to pull off.
Bring back the top hats? YES! I have one and have worn it numerous times over the last three decades.
Cheap Sunglasses is a MUST!!
ZZ Top the little 3 piece band from Texas with the big sound these guys were just cool there's no other way to say it. So many hits, I heard "La Grange" when I was 13 and it's still my favorite ZZ Top track.
The Texas trio! Badass song and great group! These guys have done it all! “Tush” “La grange” and “legs” are three good ones!
ZZ Top are legends in the rock world
ZZ Top was all about Girls, Cars, and Guitars
Best three-member band around! Hard to believe they got so much sound, but they could rock it out live.
Don’t forget Cream I think they had a major influence on ZZ Top. Give a watch to ZZ Top inducting Cream into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Can't overlook Rush, as far as three man bands.
@@grantreed1873 - I definitely *can't* overlook Rush! Best 3-member band in _my_ book, and also The Police 😊

Texas blues, this album came out in the 80s. "I'm bad, I'm nationwide" my personal theme song.
Eliminator, Tres Hombres, Afterburner. Velcro Fly, Pearl Necklace, Roughboy, Legs, Give me all your lovin', LaGrange, Tush, many many more!

This is a great song to listen to while driving on the open highway. You'll feel like flooring it when you hear the riff.
LaGrange. No question their best
