Their only similarity is that they are both fearless, stone cold killers when they need to be and loyal. They are enforcers. But Mo has a much deeper understanding and relationship to things. He has a family, a people and an ancestry, while Rip came from monsters and lives as a bachelor cowboy and perpetual indentured servant to a murderous and greedy billionaire. They protect the land for very, very different reasons. Mo's so deep, he is practically the same guy in real life, descended from a famous warrior, that's his real name, real culture and he actually has lived some of the realities in the show. But agreed, amazing characters all around, so well cast and expertly acted.
Mo is one of my favorites on the show calm collected and to the point. I look up to him and his reputation as a proud Indian American my great grandmother was was cherokee and I am proud to have that heritage
Love this scene because you have two of the same people from different walks of life. Both are caring but very brutal in their walk. Both live humbly, because both had ugly upbringings. As a Native, I would welcome RIP into my home. Especially since he became a warrior at an early age (usually around the same time an indigenous boy becomes a man within his tribe)
When I saw this scene.....chillz. The Natives had a bond with horses that may never be replicated or 100% comparable outside their own culture. May it never die.
@@imrindar Sure, but the large migration across the Bering Strait occurred ~16.5 thousand years ago and horses were brought to the Americas ~500 years ago. Indigenous American horse culture does not derive from their genetic ancestry.
@@henryschwob5989 From a purely empirical, cultural perspective, I agree. However, I take the original commenter's use of the word "bond" with some spiritual context (if you believe that sort of thing).
@@imrindar Fair enough, yeah. I'm not a spiritual person but I can see why someone might think it more than a coincidence that horses did become such an important part of Indigenous American culture.
True, but I found it odd that John didn't give him one of the body armor vests hanging in the red barn. That would have been the least he could have done if Rip was already putting his life in danger.
@@scalar12 I don't think Rip would have taken it. He always put the ranch over himself and he probably felt that had he died, it would have been a just payment after what John did all those years prior. Just my view of it. Men like Rip are quick to offer their lives to atone for their past issues.
@@shawn3363 I don't think he would have refused the vest if it had been offered to him. Sure, he's 100% loyal, but that doesn't mean you have to put your life in extreme danger even though you're offered to mitigate it somewhat. But I think he didn't even think about it, but was happy to have the opportunity to thank you for his letter and the house.
My favorite scene out of all of Yellowstone ❤ Loved the respect shown to Native culture here❤It's so important for these practices to be honored and kept alive through modern media platforms so that these sacred traditions are never lost or forgotten.
That scene hits REAL deep. Unbelievable. Can you imagine the confidence having a warrior like Mo Brings Plenty put tribal war paint on your horse before going on a suicide ride would bring? Also, that's his real name, Taylor was honored by having mo involved in the show, and wouldn't dare change his name. Look it up, the man's a treasure to humanity and our ancient past. Also, he literally brings plenty. He shares the proceeds from his acting jobs with his tribe, and writes into his contracts that the tribe, and their land benefit from any project he works on.
Gotta love Rip and Mo character arcs… lowkey I think Mo could take anyone in hand to hand combat… luckily he’s a very patient man of course till you force his hand! Rainwater knows how lethal Mo can be and so does Kayce. Hell I think Rip also knows how much a warrior he is. It would be a toss up between those two in a fight to the death. Thank god they both live to finish the show! 🙏

In Yellowstone they all played their parts well can't wait to see the last season of Yellowstone coming in November 2024.🤠
I wish we had a final interaction between Mo and Rip to show that just like with John and Chief Rainwater, being on different sides doesn't make you enemies.
This show is violent, brutal, and full of blatant sex situations and the constant use of profanity, especially the use of the F word... It's just disgusting. I am so disappointed in Kevin Costner for selling out, just for the money, to be a part of this immoral, ugly show. I'm a Montanan and I'm ashamed that this show was made here and that people watching this show might believe that's how people live and behave here.

I call him native Rip 🤣🤣
@@ZoneZero-sm9jvThey both respect the land.
I saw an interview where Mo said this was one of his favorite scenes. It meant a lot to him.
I like to hear this. Maybe a sleeper for the best 90 sec segment in the show. Mo’s writing is awesome. Everything about this scene ahhh
One of my favorite scenes of the entire show.

The relation between Rip and Mo throughout the show is the definition of respect.
They essentially do similar jobs for two different individuals.
Mutual respect for the fact they're both solid guys.
You might not think of Rip as caring about Native culture, but he shows respect in this scene.
He Let Them Bury The Horse Next To Kayce And Monica's Kid He's Always Respected The Natives
Yes....😎
He respects the natives he just doesn't ever get involved in their doings unless John or Kayce is
He’s always been respectful of them

My two favorite characters. Mirror images of each other.
Equals and opposites 👌🏻
Wow! Such an honor.
So grateful the tradition is still carried on and taught as well.
So much respect going on between these two here.
Men don't need words.
A look, a nod, done.
Men of honor .... Agreed, tomb.
Yep, gay hookups are literally that easy.

Mo is one of my favorite characters on the show.
My husband named "Writes With Feather" sees total respect between Mo and Rip. My husband is not Indian. Mo is indeed one of his favorites also.
I love tribes and history, it makes my skin get goosebumps every time. Im not Native, but their traditions are amazing
Love this scene cause mo is showing rip the Indian tradition before war

Mo is one of the best characters in the entire damn series.
You know...After really nice little scenes like this, I often get the feeling this is really an old-time western set in present-day. I might be wrong.
Mo is one of my favorite characters on the show. There is something about his wisdom and silent strength that draws me to him
damn the fellowship and respect between these two enemies to friends families/tribes makes me smile ...a lot!
Mo and Rip are my favorite characters on Yellowstone. Both are complete Bad Asses.
this scene was sooo good, so much respect for each other - amazing acting and writing here, amazing ❤
Mo Brings Plenty buffs a horse and someone starts cutting onions.
Mo Brings Plenty is one BAMF. The way he took out the guy that abducted Monica was pure shiznit.
Always makes me cry
Rip love his horse and it’s obvious that’s his best friend

Sadly its a time period full of bad but also myth. The age of the cowboy was only arund 30 years.

I LOVE THIS PART!!! MO IS ABSOLUTE BAD ASS!!!!
Rip and Mo the best relationship in the entire series
Hundreds of years of distrust can be washed away in seconds when warriors stand together.
This is why Mo is the realest character on Yellowstone

Love this scene. Grandmother would say loving all animals is test of character. Even if u hate the person love their animals.
Rip only shows his nerves to Mo, as the mutual understanding and respect is there already
One of the best scenes in the show.

That line from Mo is ice cold…”I won’t be aiming at their chest”
That gave me shivers, won't work on a man, just a horse!!!
Wes Studi is probably my favorite Native American actor but Mo runs a close second. FLY NAVY!!!

Two generals who are loyal to their kings. Both have done the work to protect those around them who fight w honor.
