This is just unbelievable. One of the best performances I've ever seen of any genre. So much sensitivity and grace it's just God like. I've been listening to the studio album often for last few weeks. He sounds even better live.

Lang Lang has a depth understanding of music and life. He is more than a musician. I really like his music.
If he really understood the differences among the composers and among the music periods, then he wouldn't play them all like Chopin or Schumann. He is not a true musician. He is an entertainer. I just found a video "The difference between an entertainer and a musician". The critic who made that video is brilliant. Watch and listen to Lang Lang and Kissin (a real musician) play the same piece.
Lang Lang plays as if he is not even touching the keys of the piano, but just floating his fingers over them. Amazing !

This is an awesome occasion and location to listen to piano pieces composed by French composer and next to Lang Lang. What a treat. I wish I was there in person on that boat moving smoothly on the Saine River in Paris.

I am so envious of the audience here. It must be the most romantic place to be with your loved one and listening to Lang Lang play Beethoven on the French Riviera. The first few harmonics on the Clair de lune was just beautiful.
You don't even have to be on the boat. Imagine you're on the river bank and suddenly you hear strains of beautiful piano playing floating across the water. So magical.
I'm so excited to see another upload from Lang Lang. I take all his performances and words as lessons and I hope you do too.
No I don't actually, he plays to impress rather than stay true to the music. It,s not all about playing fast, he,s very good on slow pieces.

@@jackfletcher1000 What is the point of having so many pianists if none of them put some intention and interpretation in the piece they're playing ? If everyone just played exactly what's on the sheet then everything would sound the same ... Just like singers, when they cover a song it wouldn't be interesting if they just sang it like karaoke

You are. Beethoven did not write it as a romantic piece - Lang Lang made it sound like a love poem or other nonsense. Lang Lang played it badly.

I named my eldest and only daughter Elise from this piece I also used to play. Unfortunately, she died giving birth to my second granddaughter who’s now 3 yrs old also christened with same nice name. All I have now are memories hearing this tune and seeing my granddaughters. I hope to hear one of them playing Fur Elise before I join their mom in a matter of time.

How anyone can push abrasive adverticemeents into such beautiful music is beyond me. Surely they can slip them in between the spoken parts. This is really vandalism of a truly wonderful concert on a romantic evening on the Seine.

"Seen" is right. This is not music. This is entertainment for people who do not really know what the different composers' compositions should sound like. It is like a comic book version of "1984" or "Gone with the Wind". Go listen to good pianists. Look it up on youtube. This guy is not in their league.
