its like it doesnt matter how sick your run was if you fall once its fucked.. the scoring really sucks. also the format makes runs matter even less.. even though they should matter more!

The judging is so inconsistent it's an insult to the skaters. Complete arbitrariness.
Yea at the end of the day it’s unfair. Idc if that sounds lame.
Almost everyone had bails in their lines. These judges have sat through a decade of amazing skaters. Went from olivera, to joslin, now these guys. These scores are justified. Ribeiro was the only one that laid it down.
They absolutely fucked foy with that 2.9... he was putting down some really difficult tricks that didn't have the "flair" that the other flip tricks do but they were equally difficult. That trick where he landed a little sloppy wasn't even that bad... they were just punishing him extra hard to make a point which shouldn't be allowed.
that kickflip bs tailslide shuv out from mota was pure fire. it only scored a 7.9. i for sure thought it would be a 9 club or atleast 8 something.
Bruh….SLS UA-cam channel deleted my comment about the new format, and scoring system. The comment had a lot of likes. Aside from that. The skaters agreed with it……it’s just friendly feedback yo 🛹 ❤️
they want their style to the 100% its a specific style sls wants. they dont care about whats better/harder. they care about $$

@@doodlebrighton124 i was thrown off guard when it was only one run. Having two runs allows them to gauge the lie competition and step it up on their next run. I’m going to miss that competitive aspect of it….

Nyjah might be a legend on a board. but cant win everytime...no one likes to see the same person win everytime..because thats just no fun to the rest who just showed up.
@@anarchistbunny3339 that isn't a good reason to choose a different winner. I would actually argue choosing a winner based on that logic would infringe on the authenticity of the contest - making it really no different than a reality tv show.

Hypothetically, if someone always skates the best in every contest they enter they have to be awarded the winner every time regardless of how hated they are and sick people are of seeing them win, otherwise any contest that denies them of winning is rigged, illegitimate and is doing so wrongly. The winners of contests should never be based on who the audience wants, would like and or prefer to see win if they didn't skate the best and thus don't deserve to win but rather always on who skated the best and deserves to win, again regardless of how disliked they may be and how much they win.

Judges always disrespect Deshawn when he goes up rails. Like he does something no one else does in competition or video and give such a low score.
I foolishly decided to have a shot every time Geoff said 'keep the speed' and now I'm battered.

7.3 for kickflip crook down the big handrail but a switch flip nosegrind down a smaller hubba gets an 8...hmm also 6.8 for switch front salad 180 out down the big rail? im so confused, that needs to be higher. kickflip crook should be 8.2. switch salad 180 out should get 7.8. and those are still a little low.
Idk. I really think more lines and less big tricks. I know I personally MUCH prefer watching the lines. I felt the same watching the Olympics. Rather have more of the line portion instead of the single tricks. 50/50 split would be nice. This is the “new and improved” format so maybe people like it and I’m wrong. Idk. I just would prefer more then one line attempt
I agree. But I'd imagine it's a way to stretch out the length. Lines are quick and go by like a breeze. Whereas single tricks are spaced out and keep more people watching with anticipation. Think they should have at least two line attempts, and keep more consistent with the scoring.
I remember when I could consistently guess scores in street league. That was when scores actually made sense most of the time. Now it’s just nonsensical. And getting rid of the second run section is just taking everything down a notch. Very disappointed in the direction street league has taken. On the other hand, very glad to see P-Rod in good form.

@Sean McNamee it should of been a 9 club, the tre nose blunt is hell of a lot harder. i cant tre, i cant over the rail front nose blunt, but i can halfcab flip easy and i can do boardslides but never done a lipslide.

@Sean McNamee that looked a lower rail koston did if i remember correctly. bastien salabanzi was the first i seen to do a full cabflip on flat. fakie 270 isnt that hard. with tre to noseblunt u got to get the right tre flip, ur not doing it to 5050 now are ya? thats wheres its more difficult than a 270 cab flip to lipslide. which is a lot easier because it follows through in motion with the way u pop and flip and turn. next u will tell me all professional skateboarders mongo push and mall grab in secret.

@Sean McNamee cab fip lip is harder but judges were scoring higher on the big section. For EVERYONE. They had been doing it all day so Nyjah should of known better. Midler got a mid 8 for a 270 to noseblunt maybe even a cab noseblunt i think also. Nyjah is adding a flip and doing an easier slide so he should expect only a few decimals bump up. Baring in mind, he can also do it on the big rail if you gave him a 9.4 for example, then what does he get for the big rail?

The judges, and the scoring system in general, need a MASSIVE overhaul. They are not fit for purpose. It sucks to watch.
the flash black screens make it hard to enjoy the video...who ever was using a old camera, should fixed that or just get a better camera..because those black screen flashes are messing with my eyes and i have to do a play back just to see whats happening.
broadcasting is really complex. it could be a camera problem but also just a random person pulling on a cable or a signal not reaching because of the heat. lot's of factors there. just try to enjoy the fact that we can watch all of this beauty for free.

The judging on experimental tricks which are landed but flawed, is a disgrace to the sport. mark them down? sure, but someone who lands something experimental is actively penalised by the score they get to the extent that they may as well have bailed. This is absolutely not the right attitude for skating. It should be ABOUT experimentation. Giving artificially low scores because the audience does not understand it discourages experimentation, and damages skating as a whole. This sucks. Change it.

I don't get why everyone says how "sick" the format is when they took away the extra line run and extra best trick attempt....so stupid for fans and less opportunity to win for the skaters

Jamie Foy is one of the best examples of that...the rest are just loosing their groove. always enjoying the SLS. but Always a Shame to see your personal fav rider fail on the runs and straight bailing on the best tricks...nerves gettin to the best skaters. over all Always enjoy the video.

Most these skaters do the same shit. 360 lip slides, kick flip crook, kickflip lip slides. Where’s the switch and heel flip tricks? They all only do tre flips and kick flips.
Theres a ton of switch and nollie. But I agree consistency is rewarded too much so people like Nyjah get a lot of points for boring treflip regular kickflip boards and lips etc. Regular herlflips are garbage tho, if youre asking for those
@@076657 they do some nollie and barely any switch. Regular heel flips are great. Variel heels, inward heels and laser flips are all cool. But switch and nollie heel tricks would also be great to see.

New introductions to the rules of S.L.S In events where the weather is super hot all the rails should be waxed before and after each heat, just to keep the rails slick. It is obvious they are sticky.

They need to come up with equal judging.. Like adding lines before and after an obstacle witch you have to stay in to get clean points, regular \switch\fakie
ollie should have all there own point value just like each flip\shut\spin\grabs\manules ect. Then judge speed\air time\length grinded on rail\gaps\ trick to grind or trick out, maybe add a creative point colum.... Like there so many ways to make this more even and force people to be more creative. I FU@KING LOVE SLS BUT PLEASE DO IT RIGHT PLEASE HAHAHHA.

Why we have so many uploaded is this a redo or maybe a repeat from the other one before it was having a lot of difficulty I think it might have to with the audio and the technical difficulty costs us a lot of waiting and patience to get right back on track of Street League Skateboarding and Skate Park Competitions too!
