  • Part 2 Flying the NEW Carenado Pilatus PC-12 HD from Denver Colorado (KDEN) to Eagle County (KEGE) ranked by the History Channel as the "8th most extreme airport" in the world. Join me flying the "Swiss Army Knife" of turbine powered airplanes.
Scenery Add-ons for the series include: Orbx FTX Global, ORBX FTX Vector, ORBX Freeware Airports (KTEX) Telluride, Colorado, and (KAPA) Denver Centennial, FlightBeam's Denver International Aiport, Mountain Express Scenery's Eagle County Regional Airport, Aerosoft's Aspen X scenery. I also tried Vero's Heart of Colorado photo scenery, but ended up disabling it as the results were less that satisfactory for me. May need to do more testing with this scenery.

Hi Pizza Punt! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and hope you are having fun with the PC-12.
Sorry to be so long in replying to your comment. I have been on a hiatus from the FS MaNiA channel... but I'm gearing up to start producing more content in the not too distant future. Stay tuned and cheers from Tim G., FS MaNiA

Just uploaded my first flight in the Newly released Carenado Pilatus PC-12 HD from Denver Colorado to Eagle County Airport Colorado! This is turning out to be a great little airplane. I can't wait to put this planes legendary versatility to the test as I continue the series by flying from Eagle County Airport to Aspen, Colorado. Steep climbs and descents will be required!! See you very soon! Kindest Regards, Tim G., FS MaNiA

Sorry I'm 2 years late, but, make sure your yaw damper isn't on. Also, take off with the inertial separator open, the torque is a bit more manageable. Don't forget to shut the inertial sep after takeoff, and NEVER mess with the prop rpm. 1700 all the time!

Great videos.....love your knowledge of flying combined with your clear concise explanations of the aircraft systems.
I can spot most of your addons by eye, but sometimes you surprise me with scenery...for example, for the life of me, I can't figure out where you found Eagle County Airport...is it freeware?
Moving forward, I'd love to see more info on scenery (maybe with links) in your video descriptions. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work!

Thank you Lazy, The KEGE Eagle County Airport is from "Mountain Express" Scenery. It was freeware scenery I found on AVSIM by Todd Lucas, AVSIM.com, Flightsim.com, Mountain Express (www.mountain-express.net).
If you look at the description under the "Play List" tab for the PC-12 series, I have listed the add-ons used there. I like your suggestion to include add-ons/links on the individual video descriptions. I will make a point to do that on the next video. Thanks much for your comments and suggestions. Kindest Regards, Tim G., FS MaNiA

I don't think GEX is the cause of the runway vehicle traffic. Just took off from there and had the same issue without GEX installed. New to this and watched part 1 religiously and was the sole reason I made it off the ground. Now need to watch this part to keep it in the air.

There's 5 pages when in NAV mode on your GNS 530. You're on the second one. Give the first page a try.

Thanks,,, still climbing the learning curve on the Reality XP GNS 530... so use to flying with the FSX version which is barely functional,,, don't know how to act with so many pages and features!! I have learned a few new tricks with the GNS 530 that you can see in my next video "IFR to Aspen" part 1 published today. Thanks for your comments and for watching! Kindest Regards, Tim G. FS MaNiA

Is there some kind of add-on for this sim for ATC so you don't have to do it yourself? Would be a nice thing to have for IFR flying.

I think I found your torque problem, Boss. Your prop RPM was 1,050, not 1700! you would've been below red line at full power if your prop lever wasn't bumped. (assuming you have a quadrant) I enjoyed the video anyway!

Hey Jacob, Its been a long time since if flew this bird so I'm drawing a blank on the torque issue. I use the Saitek X-55 joy stick and throttle quadrant system. It might have been an accidental bump, however, I also recall this version of the PC-12 having a few bugs that eventually got worked out. At any rate, thanks for the information. Best regards, Tim G., FS MaNiA
