I've been cutting my hair with a Flowbee for over two years. It works great, since the pandemic, I'm even more grateful for this product. Its not hard to learn to use.
Three cheers for your father in law. I am only at around year 10 myself. As a side note I want to mention that the purpose of the vacuum is to pull the hair away from the head in a straight line, much like a barber uses their fingers to grab hair strands before they cut them. Collecting the cut hair into the vacuum for disposal is strictly a benefit.
@@jyarby $170 shipped with the flow bee vacuum. I cannot tell you how great my hair turned out, thanks for the video and the idea. I noticed when I would get my haircut when dry I looked like a Q tip .... thought .... hmmm .... its all even how about the flow bee. Sure enough, and it actually blends the hair with the flat comb attached really well if you just use a vertical cutting motion perpendicular to the scalp. I am so stoked not to have that bushy type side hair anymore, I can do it weekly now. So happy. My wife was like OMG, it looks great I said "I know and its my first time!"
My dad has been using a Flowbee since the 90s. Growing up (female, I was born in 88), I was scarred for life when my mom was running errands one day and he decided to save some money and cut my bangs with it. They looked so awful I had to wear a hat for weeks 😂 but for men’s hair, or short-haired old ladies, totally. Go for it, great invention. He’s literally only had to buy a new one once since the 90s 🤷🏻♀️
I battle on Ebay for nearly 3 weeks with no success. One new Flowbee sold for $ 800! Finally the factory cut loose on 149 of them and I got lucky and bought one. They sold out in just a few hours. So far it's been a great investment. This is a badly need item in your emergency preparedness stash. It also saves you significant money. My first haircut with the Flowbee was no better or worse than my average haircut. And after a few more cuts I'll master it and avoid the need to pay for a haircut all together.
@@jyarby I'm going to be discussing something completely different so I can't do a video on a Flowbee. But it does work well and I recommend the vacuum model that I was lucky to get a hold of. After going through this lock down I can honesty say that more people need to own Flowbees and help others who don't. And more people need to be willing to try it. I was the only one to use the Flowbee and I offered it to everyone I could but there were no takers. I think the company just added another generation of new customers thanks to the virus. I stay loyal to a handful of products and this is the latest one on the list.
I’ve been using flobee for almost 2 years. I love the ease and perfect cut. It was hit and miss at the Hair cut chains. I got a really bad cut tried flobee and will never set foot in a haircut place.
Very cool but dang that thing is pricey. I have a Wahl clipper I’ve been using for the last year that cost me $30 about 18 years ago. It works great, but it leaves me with a mess to clean up. I might consider the flowbee when my Wahl finally gives up the ghost.
I am 54 years old and saw it on tv prob what 25 years ago we all thought it was a joke but now I am getting mine this Saturday and trying it out it’s a reb cert like new used with vac $119. That’s all they have for now etc. if I had had it years ago 25 years ago I probably would have saved thousands dollars for haircuts I think but it’s ok moving forward
I bought mine in 1990 off that late night TV nerdy dorky infomercial because I didn't want to blow 1/2 hour at a stylist's, when I could be at the beach surfing. Flowbee got a undeserved bad rap from the popular movie "Wayne's World". It broke after 25 years. I got the robocut because it seemed to be better and it cost $10 less at the time. Flowbee is better because its wider cutting area makes a wider side taper. It isn't worth double the price of the robocut though.
I bought a Robocut probably 6 years ago, used it once because I couldn't get to the barber for months. Used it just the other day for the 2nd time because my hair was outrageously long. I think they've doubled in price.
Cool video, the quality of video is great! You deserve way more subscribers, if i didn't see your subscriber count I would of thought you had at least 10,000!
Are you OK how it fades between the longer top and shorter sides? I had a cut from one when I was a kid and everything was basically the same length, looked like a dandylion. I was thinking this for the top so you don't have to use scissors and screw it up, and then using clippers on the sides and back.
Question is....how short can you cut with it? I usually have wahl #1 guard on sides....can it get that close? Only thing that’s stopped me from pulling the trigger!
Absolutely. Just piece together the spacers to get the length you want. There’s even tapered ones for the sides. Impossible to screw it up. I’ve used one for over 30 years.
just out of curiosity because they are sold out everywhere now and people are trying to ebay them at big profits. what was the actual price of these things before all of this started?
So-called "expert" needs some remedial training. At least he is using the proper technique of bouncing it up and down off the scalp rather than doing what I see so many noobs do, which is run it through your hair as if you were brushing it...That doesn't work. However, what he is doing wrong is not using the "foot" at the bottom of his spacer stack. The foot is what will allow you to press the spacers all the way down to your scalp and still maintain full airflow. As anyone can probably guess, good airflow is the key to a good even cut. Lastly, you want to be sure to oil the blades prior to every haircut.
Masks are equivalent to your underwater holding in a fart! Haha sorry had to put that in. You can contract covid through your eyes. I do have a flowbee though and 6 boys... needless to say haircuts around the table tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
2:01 nice touch adding the Flowbee instructional music for the car ride.
THANKS!
Here after George Clooney' Flowbee "ad" 🙋♂️🙋♀️🙋
They just got the biggest endorsement of a lifetime with him.
Im literally going to buy one because of George Clooney

a minute into the video I literally started looking at the comments to see if someone had posted this. Thank you. Damn this is annoying.
Thank you! Too much blabbering. It still was a waste of time
I’ve used one for almost 30 years. They are great. Hair is always perfect and have saved thousands.
From now on us barbers will become a thieves, because 10$ percent monthly is a great expense.
@@miccha21 $20 a cut/ 10 cuts = $200, $200(5) = $1,000 on haircuts after 5 years. That adds up

Yeah, I was surprised at how easy and ready to go it was. He used to use the one that attached directly to a shop-vac. That seems a bit much to me!
You look very handsome! I absolutely love your haircut! But, I am a Woman, and I want a Flowbee! Don’t hold that against me, please!!!

It honestly does a pretty good job. My father in law does his sides with it. It all depends on the spacers, or lack thereof.
