Here I will show you a tool I made to ensure my ballast stays put on my Garden Railroad. You can use any type of container with holes. Thanks for watching.
How about putting the ballast in the cement tin with cement, shaking it up and coating all of the ballast and then spreading the ballast rather than just the top layer, that way all the ballast is secure
Thanks for posting, I use your advice but with much more cement powdering and it works well, you still have to maintain the track on a regular basis, one day I will go all cement foundation. Thanks for posting. Very Helpful
That is a brilliant idea. I will be using this technique on my railway when it is finally complete.
Thankyou for the idea. Looks like it works well. I'll do as Allen says below and wipe rails before spraying water. Cheers, Tony from New Zealand

By the way, I like your procedure and will use it on my layout. Robert Brown.
chicken grits what i use its a bit bigger but if you fill a double bag its probaly the best ballast you can use
Thank you!!
Where can I get the ballast that you show in the video? I need alot. Thanks, Robert Brown.
why not brush off the rails before spraying water
Ok till you get hard frosts and. Prolonged freezing.
Falls apart then. More cement needed
Merci pour l'idée ! Je vais tester sur mon réseau. Gégé : In France ! ( gege030t sur UA-cam)
