Got that same VDC/Slip light on my 2006 G35x & also another problem I just ran into if anyone in the comments could help or the creator of this video that would be great so yeah my AC/Heating controls stopped working while driving I can’t turn on AC or heat at the same time I noticed a light on my cluster gauge saying (shift-knob) now my car is stuck in park 🤦♂️😭😭😭 someone please give me some info on how to fix this
Ok I hope someone will respond, got an 07 with the manumatic 5 SPD. In manual I would experience what I thought was vdc. I would mat the accelerator In first then shift to second there would be a slight delay I'm acceleration maybe 2 seconds tach didn't climb like a slipping tranny after the delay second would kick in ferociously putting me in the seat. Anyway after videos and reading web stuff today I turned off VDC. Ok I start in manual first gear , mat the gas shift to second and a huge bog not in rpms but felt like the brakes came on kinda like I was experiencing at first with VDC on but times ten. Also no slip lights or VDC lights or engine lights or abs or anything. What is going on? Does anyone have a clue? Again it's not like the belts are slipping and rpms going up sky high like you would think of when dealing with a slipping automatic. Any reasonable response appreciated.
Interesting ! I have an old Forester without VDC and would like to install one for better traction. Would the ABS braking part of the system work without the yaw sensor, g sensor and other sensors ?
@@StrappingYoungComrad so if u splice the wire from the obd to power the vdc. How exactly are you supposed to make the wire for the obd still work if ur now using it for the vdc power wire?! Or does it not actually do anything for the obd port? I'm new to wiring so just wondering
hi, i have the same problème, (C1145) Nissan didn't solve my probleme, the sensor is ok for them. I tested the 12V between pin 3 and 6, it's ok. My question, did you have a 12V between pin 3 and 6 before solve your problem (before cut the orange wire and put a switch with the OBD's 12V? (excuse my English ^^)
I bought a used on japoto 48 € when nissan wanted me to order a 2000 € XD. there is a resistance between pins 2 and 6 of 53Kohm. on the one who died, I had nothing left.thank :)
Bro I fixed my camshaft position sensors and reset the car and boom I swear the check engine light and Vdc as well as the slip light and my car is back to normal still gonna grab a pedal accelerator sensor to better my car
My 07 Z has the tcs and slip light on and it’s causing my car to have no throttle response at all, I’ve considered changing my camshaft sensors and crankshaft sensors but I don’t throw a code for those, so you think it’s still the issue?
@@NCman321 you ever figure it out?? I’m having the same problem. I Removed the yaw sensor and now my g37 accelerates like shit. The rpms just spike up and no throttle response.
I think thats what happened to mine because now the vdc and slip lights are on i was trying to put a traction switch i cuted the orange wired and I think i fried the wired🤦🏻♂️
@@StrappingYoungComrad thanks for reply, i got frustrated trying to get the orange wire working again couldnt find any blown fuses so did what u did with a 16 gauge wire and blew a 15 amp fuse by the battery. Did you have any issues like that? im considering putting a 20 amp instead but worry about starting a fire or some shit
@@MrWillowmilk oh shit. No I didn't have any issues with blowing fuses. Sorry to hear that. Maybe u connected it to the incorrect wire from the obd2 port?
@@StrappingYoungComrad its a fuse in the fusable link box that says inj eng cont. I guess thats part of the circuit putting constant 12v to the obd port
@@StrappingYoungComrad i did it on the 12v constant, pin 16 the red with white wire, thats the one you used right? ill try another 15a and see if it blows again hopefully not but probably will if it did already. If it does Ill be getting a shop to fix that orange wire ive been fucking with it for a few days now. Glad that worked for you though kinda weird it wont for me.
Man, i love you!!! In spain this sensor cost 1800€ !! I still dont think it will work!!! Thank you so much.
DUDE, holy shittttt, you saved me of a ton of money man! The mechanical guy ask me for $500 NZD to fix this stuff! Thank you so much man!!

I’m having similar problems with rpm’s shooting up with no throttle response. You ever figure it out?
You think that problem can make your car lost power?
Doubt it. If anything, since it disables all traction control it will probably run better lol

Vincent Windels thanks for the comment, however I am not experienced enough with this to answer your question. Gl
No problem ! Thank you !
Vincent, I can confirm that the ABS does not work without the yaw sensor on my M45
What is a OBD 3 port, I heard of an OBD2 port
Obd3 is only available on super rare imported jdm cars
I did this but now if I want to turn off vdc it just fries another power wire and does not turn on again anyone else having this problem ? Pls help
Hey there. Is there any way you can replace the orange wire? Where does your new wire go?
Matt Johansen it goes somewhere behind the dash and through the firewall into the battery somewhere i think. Which is why I did it the way I did.
StrappingYoungComrad thank you for replying. Can you advise which wire you spliced into with the odb connector please?
Matt Johansen I believe it was red wire with yellow stripe. I discuss it around the 2:20 mark in the video. You can verify with a multimeter.
StrappingYoungComrad perfect! Thank you so much :)
