    Sticking the point of a needle or straight pin in the bubble makes smoothing the bubbles much easier.

    It seems to me that if you put your fabric seam on the corner it is going to be easier to catch and pull on something because it sticks out. Whereas if the seam is in the middle of the back it does not really stick out so your fabric would be more protected

    This is a good demo. I think I would use a small art brayer and lay the fabric down in shorter sections so I wouldn't have to keep lifting it.

    Couldn't you skip a step and use real oilcloth?
