Well, I installed MacOS Sonoma on my Macbook pro mid 2012 using Opencore patcher and tbh, it runs way better and faster than Catalina. My Macbook pro has seen a huge performance bump with Sonoma if compared to Catalina
What I learned from this video: - Sonoma is the most useless macOS ever made (I like the wallpaper, though) - CleanMyMac is still the BEST Mac app to have ❤ Thank you!

Thanks for this fake "comparison", comparing nothing 😂 This is one of those videos that makes you want to see the actual number of dislikes compared to the likes....
Upgraded to MacOS Sonoma on my MacBook Pro 14 M2 Pro. But the external HP Mouse that I use(HP 240 mouse), started to lag. I checked the polling rate, it was barely 35-40 Hz. Then checked it on my windows laptop, it was 120-135 Hz. I erased the Mac completely and downgraded to the macOS Ventura, and sure enough, it started to work just fine at 100-120 Hz. Now idk if its intentional from Apple, or a bug. But I didn't wanted to deal with customer service, since I am already dealing for an existing issue: Whenever I close safari, all my tabs are closed. Even though it's set to "Safari opens with: All windows from last session" I had to run lots of troubleshooting steps, when that didn't work, I had to submit a video proof and logs to Apple. So yeah pretty frustrating on a 2200$ device. Also something strange happened, when the first time I had setup my Mac, there were pre installed apps like UA-cam, gmail and google drive, google sheet and one more, and they simply wouldn't open. When I downgraded today from Sonoma to Ventura, those apps weren't there. Any thoughts on the above stated (3) things? And they aren't even there on the App Store. (not today, not ever, on the MacBook) I couldn't delete them at that time, just like Apple apps.
I'm still running macOS Ventura on my MacBook Pro as mine is the 2017 model and doesn't support sonoma. And my iMac is even worse. A 2015 stuck on Monterey
@@bobbyjimenez4482 done that. Now my iMac is running macOS Ventura which is better then Monterey as Monterey is about to go out of support. And I thought that Ventura would be the most stable version to use as it's the oldest one still in support
Widgets, Safari and Web Apps. But yeah.. such a small update for a most part. Messages, Email, Notes, FaceTime... That's all I don't even use on my Mac due to third party apps.
What I really want to know is if the update is any worse or better at performance than Ventura. I know updates are usually slower right after it installs, but I care about the long term effects.
Slower from a UI experience. They have required more button pushing, mousing around and less keyboarding. Fading things into the background, while looking pleasant at a glance, makes it harder to pick up critical information as quickly. Too little contrast. Too much visual noise. Overall, they are turning this experience into a mobile one... less user friendly... apps getting in the way of you accessing your data directly. It gets in the way. Select "About This Mac" from the Apple Menu... what comes up is exactly the size and shape of a iphone... they cant even tell you what the processor and the graphics is without having to wrap to another line... and that's the entire OS in a nutshell. SOO disappointed... have been using macs since 1990

I think one of the most important comparisons to make is the difference in performance on different devices. If there was no difference of course I would upgrade no matter what the features were, so I think this is really the most important issue that should be mentioned in an ultimate comparison.

I have now had to downgrade from Sonoma 2×1st my GoPro won't work because of the end of support for legacy streaming devices a.k.a. the GoPro Hero Nine which isn't even that old so I had to downgrade in order to use it the further we go with the Apple OS the worse it gets Apple is literally finished- garbage

Running on Sonoma as good as we did on Ventura 🦾
The worst part of CleanMyMac is a fucking payment app. I want 1 pay and get my app forever and ever.

I dont know why they dont redesign a bit folders and stuffs
what don't you like about the folders?

so my Mac will now look like my Apple TV
No disk permissions repair anymore. Supposed to be done automatically.
Sonoma is draining my battery much faster than Ventura with M1 Max
That’s half the reasons for OS upgrades: to slow down your device and make you want to buy newer and faster device at $$$$
I won't upgrade currently. Because last time from Big Sur to Ventura, my Ghub + Logitech G604 didn't work. About 6 months. Not anymore.
im still using monterey, on my m1p, due the hearing alot of issues about ventura.
Que buena decisión tomaste, yo lo actualice a Ventura, y no me gusto para nada, la actualización quito funciones que para mi eran vitales.
i upgraded to sonoma and it is very buggy.
a few things dont work, it does look nice tho.
hope they fix it

It seems to me this is the update for streamers not for productivity users that want a snappy environment at all times.

The Apple has gone bad-
A utility like clean my Mac will most likely erase data that you don't want erased. I don't use those at all for that reason.

Se pueden tener las 2 versiones a nivel boot?
what about the new gaming feature? is it good??
Gonna test it soon 🎮

Just these differences? Basically: nothing new.
I upgraded to Sonoma and everything started to lag, like my Google, UA-cam and games were so laggy. imma now to downgrade to Ventura now
wow. you can have shortucts to a website on your desktop. Just like window 95.
first decide if you want to upgrade and then check for compatibility? 😫
battery on sanomo goes brrrrr
Have you tried checking what processes are draining that fast?
Definitely be skipping Sonoma.
running smoothly on my i5 16gig hackintosh😂
