My uncle Ned used to pirate early pc games and give us copies. He was a code breaker in vietnam. This is one of the games he sent us. I was in probably 5th grade when we got this loaded up. I simply cant imagine how my very Christian family let this slip through the crakes and I was able to play this. RIP uncle Ned, love you forever.
I'm Finnish and first time I played this game when I was seven years old. I knew only handful of English words, but somehow I managed to play this game quite well. Took many attempts to go trough the age verification questions though. Great memories. Thanks for uploading this!
I was 4-5 years old and my uncle would help me play since I didn't understand English back then. He would answer the security questions for me and sort of modify the dialogue while reading it to me. I don't think he let me play the blow up doll part, though. But I still remember buying whiskey and the love hotel. XD
I learned a lot of english words with this game. The verification question were irritating and the save and restore options didn't work. I eventually finished the game but it was a long way.
Same here. Danish though. But exactly the same. I was just a bit older. Id spend hours with pen and paper trying to write down the questions and which answers id try only to cross them out as they were wrong. The problem with the verification questions is that you not only had to be an adult. But an american adult. And to have been born in exactly the specific time period to know those things. The questions were SO dated. And all you had to do was the Ctrl + X to skip it. Oh but getting the pills is where I was stuck for a long time.
I never realised how many times you have to change the damn TV channel! I also love that in this particular play through, Larry goes upstairs, completely ignores the prostitute, steals the candy, then opens the window and jumps out.
I miss the good old days with these old skool games. Leisure suit larry, space quest, police quest, hero quest...lot's other great games back in the day i didn't mention, but sure were good.
Cool game. It was a nice trip down memory lane. I love the part where the quick mart clerk makes Larry look bad by telling everyone in the store about the condom Larry is using. That part cracked me up.
played this when I was 7 yo, my English sucked big time, I remember the cab passing over me, a tug beating me and a dog peeing on me. I named my dog Larry after this weird game.
imo man kind will kill each other completely off.. I'll state just a few reasons here.. modern men n women tolerate each other but we really dislike 1 another, relationships and esp marriages have dropped, birth rate etc.. I won't rant too much but I believe cyber security attacks will hack human like robot A.i and smart devices and create modern warfare
Ugh. I can't believe the correct answer was "casino suite." I was trying things like "hotel room", "casino room", "fawn's room", "4th floor", and a lot of other things. You would think they would be a bit more forgiving.
Played this game when I was a little girl on the MSX because my dad couldn't get past the safety questions (alt-x, never made him wiser) and didn't know much English (we are Dutch). Still know everything, especially the weird endings. Don't jump out of the window with your condom on, don't bring a bottle of wine in the cab and so on. Always missed one point though. Will watch this video closely to see where...
I remember playing this game on my dads computer when I was a kid. It took my brother and I so long to figure out all the steps. I don't think we ever actually beat the game but we certainly did enjoy the hooker and laughing at the bouncing censored box. I just recently started playing Wet dreams don't dry and it's bringing back a lot of memories. I had to check this video out.
I played this game as a kid! I had herd it had nudity and sex in it. God knows I tried to get there, but I never got to any of those parts because I didn't speak english. I just suddenly tonight remembered this game and searched for a walkthrough and now I feel like the adopted kid who finally found his biological parents
This game takes me back to 1991 when I hacked into the Adults section of my families PC (my sisters and I were forbidden to play this game until we were 18). My sisters and I ( I was thirteen at the time) played this game for a short while maybe five to fifteen minutes. This was when my parents were asleep.
I hot it from my dad … he got it from work … games are for kids … so enjoyed it … what 18 year old was interested in such a game? None that I knew … that was for kids …
Sierra made the best games. The nostalgia that comes with the leisure suit Larry games is incredible, it was my childhood playing these games. Not sure 🤔 if that’s a good thing.
I grew up before computers were in homes. I played Leisure Suit Larry in EGA colors (or was that VGA?). We used to swear when giving commands and the computer would just say 'Tsk Tsk' and it was so funny that it accepted the swearing without complaints.
I'm also Finnish. When I tried this game at the first time, there was much questions ("some easy question for you to provide that you are older than 18") and we used lot of time with my friend to find correct answers - without results. Then my cousins kids, little bit younger than I, told fake code and game started after one question. Well .. game was quite difficult because language skills was so poor (and not so much better even now..)
I have come to realize that, from this game, much of my vulgar sense of humor was born. For eliminating many taboos I would like to thank you, Leisure Suit Larry.
I remember when I was younger I used to have to have my dad answer the age verification questions for me so I could play. Looking back I am surprised he actually let me considering I was about 4 when I first played the game. I think I still have the notepad with all the answers to the questions written down somewhere, like "Who was in Grants Tomb?" and "Lizzie Borden gave her mother?"
I had this on our pc512 in the 80’s. I couldn’t figure out the password to the pimps room so sneakily called a cheats hotline for it. Stupidly left the copy of C&VG next to the phone with the cheats hotline page open and got busted by my dad! Good times 😂
This was the first open world game. Instead of giving whiskey I remember typing kick man in balls, and the game responded with "ow those pointy toe shoes hurt mister"!
After playing Space Quest my dad saw a made copy of Leisure Suit Larry at work, or a friend made it for him because it was by Sierra. He thought we'd like it and brought it home. My sis and me were like 8 and 10, we played this game well, on the verge of beating it my dad uninstalled it after seeing what it was about.
I'm impressed. This game is actually pretty funny! I thought it would just be crass and only appeal to 12 year olds, but there's actually some witty dialogue in this game
The blackjack game was pretty sophisticated, you could double down on 10 or 11, split and double on 10 or 11 after split, and even surrender half your bet on your first 2 cards. It had a blatant bug though. The dealer didn't know how to count its own soft hands when it drew cards,
I never figured out how to get the booze from the shop to the casino. The cabbie always drank it and crashed. 25 years later I know the answer. *emotional sobbing*
I was actually on a US Aircraft carrier in the middle of a cruise in the western pacific when I saw this game - the whole shop (sort of) played it at sea on what was then a "Modern PC" (Commodore 64 or 128 I think) in the late eighties. 2 other popular ones back then were the Bards Tale and Jon van Caneghams first Might & Magic games
When I was a kid, this game is installed in my uncle's computer. However, he didn't allow me to play it. Even I run the game, he had never taught me how to play it. I'm 36 now. After I see this video, I understand why he didn't let me play this game.
Growing up playing "Hugo's House of Horrors'....kick that pumpkin. I'll never get leisure suit larrys song out of my head. I'll have them play it at my funeral!
I've always thought the intro music sounds a bit like the theme to Benny Hill (coincidence??). Also, as a kid I thought this was what it was like in Vegas. >_
While all the other kids grew up with Mario and Sonic I grew up with Larry
i grew up with halo and counter strike source
EDIT: i born in 2000
And King's Quest along with all the other Sierra games!
Anyone remember the age verification questions?
@@codprocamp4690 I was just going to post this. I learned more about history from this game than school. Lol
Me too....
Long live forever Ned
Your uncle is fucking cool. rip Ned
I'm Finnish and first time I played this game when I was seven years old. I knew only handful of English words, but somehow I managed to play this game quite well. Took many attempts to go trough the age verification questions though. Great memories. Thanks for uploading this!
N LX ALT-X bypassed the age verification.
I learnt to type 'OPEN DOOR' in record breaking fashion
I was 4-5 years old and my uncle would help me play since I didn't understand English back then. He would answer the security questions for me and sort of modify the dialogue while reading it to me. I don't think he let me play the blow up doll part, though. But I still remember buying whiskey and the love hotel. XD

I never realised how many times you have to change the damn TV channel! I also love that in this particular play through, Larry goes upstairs, completely ignores the prostitute, steals the candy, then opens the window and jumps out.
Well, in all fairness, Larry didn't have a lubber on him just then...
My favorite part is when he throws the girl up in the air while dancing. LOL
I can't believe this game was only 33 minutes when you knew what you were doing.
Took me several weeks to beat his game
lol totally
yeah it's like 33 days when you're trying to figure it all out though.
Add the time you'd normally need to win black jack and save the game over and over again.
. Took me and my 13 year old (we were same age!) friend 24 hours before we fell asleep. 30 years later. I feel love
Leisure Suit Larry is the greatest Sierra character of all time.
Ok, Larry took a dump and didn't wash his hands. Now I'm watching the rest of the video and thinking to myself 'ol nasty ass Larry' lol
No need to if you are careful
Who washes hands in a dodgy bar or nightclub?
Something tells me that more kids played this then adults when it came out, but this game was far before my time
kids use to play this is class all the time at school
Hah, I thought my school was special!
Ours too!
Used to play this game at my cousins house in the 80’s
I remember my parents letting me play this game when I was like 13. Why would they allow that lol.
VonnyMiller Same lol.
Same
A kid has to learn sometime!
Me too!
Because they we're afraid you would turn gay but still you did.
I miss the good old days with these old skool games. Leisure suit larry, space quest, police quest, hero quest...lot's other great games back in the day i didn't mention, but sure were good.
And kings quest
oh man the nostalgia is intense!!

"thug" not tug lol
At 13 years old i learned everything I know about sex from this game. I'm now 42 and still single.
imo man kind will kill each other completely off.. I'll state just a few reasons here.. modern men n women tolerate each other but we really dislike 1 another, relationships and esp marriages have dropped, birth rate etc.. I won't rant too much but I believe cyber security attacks will hack human like robot A.i and smart devices and create modern warfare
God I love youtube!!!!
No lies....this is where I learned what a rubber was. LOL! I was a kid, damn it!
Right, this is where I learned what hookers where lol
me too lol
If I had a nickle for every time I died in this game...
How many times did you walk into the alley?
Ugh. I can't believe the correct answer was "casino suite." I was trying things like "hotel room", "casino room", "fawn's room", "4th floor", and a lot of other things. You would think they would be a bit more forgiving.
You REALLY needed the hint book to play this, I guess.
honeymoon suite also works
zicela yup. Did that.
yep, i got stuck on that part.

*gets perfect score*
Game: "You did okay, I guess."
good old fuckin days love that game when i was young hehe,, such memories
And think about it back then it was probably the funniest game of all time. Gotta respect it for that.
I remember playing this like it was yesterday, when I was young
I remember playing this game on my dads computer when I was a kid. It took my brother and I so long to figure out all the steps. I don't think we ever actually beat the game but we certainly did enjoy the hooker and laughing at the bouncing censored box. I just recently started playing Wet dreams don't dry and it's bringing back a lot of memories. I had to check this video out.
I also played it on my father's computer. But actually, he was the boss of a company and I used the computer in his office. Kinda risky...
I played this game as a kid! I had herd it had nudity and sex in it. God knows I tried to get there, but I never got to any of those parts because I didn't speak english. AWESOME GAME!!! I remember playing this game in high school. Man those were the days.
Same here. My buddy had it on his computer
I love these basic graphics. Colourful and simple and entertaining
the artistry truly is impressive with such limited hardware
So much better when we didnt know what to do. The types of deaths are great in this game.
Forgot about the one dreaded death in this game. Walk up to the hooker and type 'eat her'. Outcome is quite horrendous!
And that death was actually taken from Sierra's earlier text only adventure, Soft Porn by Roberta Williams herself.
Sierra made the best games. The nostalgia that comes with the leisure suit Larry games is incredible, it was my childhood playing these games. Not sure 🤔 if that’s a good thing.
2 things:
1- No way this game takes about half an hour to finish! Are you sure it doesn't take all night?
2- Ken sent me
I remember playing this also around 10 I think. so inappropriate but I loved it
When a game is supposedly for adults-only, you know it’s really for thirteen-year-olds.
No, more it was ADULTS game, and my father helped always to complete The answers for start to play 🙈🙈🙈
I never could get the pills😂🤣😂 30 years later I get to finally see the ending
I grew up before computers were in homes. I played Leisure Suit Larry in EGA colors (or was that VGA?). We used to swear when giving commands and the computer would just say 'Tsk Tsk' and it was so funny that it accepted the swearing without complaints.
That game is from 1987 and computers were in homes back then … Amiga, ST, C64 … got my first PC in 1990 …
damn i remember playing this when i was in 8th grade "98"
useing the phone at the casino was such a pain
then figured it out
hard to find classic game
I'm also Finnish. everytime i want to tie the rope it says " the solution is closer to you than that" any help?
I have come to realize that, from this game, much of my vulgar sense of humor was born. For eliminating many taboos I would like to thank you, Leisure Suit Larry.

Ah, I remember I played this game so many hours when I was 4 years old. Amazing my parents let me. Thanks uncle Bob!
The pimp seems vaguely interested, but not enough to leave his post by the stairs
The opening track sounded oddly like 'When I'm 64' by the Beatles.
I had this on our pc512 in the 80’s. I couldn’t figure out the password to the pimps room so sneakily called a cheats hotline for it. Stupidly left the copy of C&VG next to the phone with the cheats hotline page open and got busted by my dad! Good times 😂
Imagine going through the whole game without buying the apple from the dude at 8:23.
This game and Tracon....most fun games and my first. Loved this game and remember all this.
You know the game is old as heck when poor old Larry has to go through all those hoops to get that dang bottle of wine.
How did you Win every time at the Casino?
Use the save feature
14:19 this scene is later used im Mask with jim carrey
the brings me back to middle school. wow
This was the first open world game. Instead of giving whiskey I remember typing kick man in balls, and the game responded with "ow those pointy toe shoes hurt mister"!
For games like this, I think audio commentary would be a great idea.
JesseH I loved space quest!
2:30 funny that they had easter eggs like "Ken sent me" as the password. For Ken Williams, founder and head honcho of Sierra!
Loved this game when I was 13. But I never managed to complete it.
Oh Larry, you're such a sleaze ball but I still love ya!
I'm impressed. This game is actually pretty funny! I thought it would just be crass and only appeal to 12 year olds, but there's actually some witty dialogue in this game
Sierra Games...great stuff...
I never had this when I was a kid, but always wanted it. Boy was this game world short for a Sierra game.
This game was considered lewd in the 80s.
It's 2021...and this milk toast mild compared to kids cartoons.
thanks for the upload for memories but i have to say, you won everytime in thecasino..cheat??
Probably just edited the losing out. I always just spammed save and restore.
Music , graphics, gameplay … best ever.

고전 PC게임들이 여기 많네요~ 추억을 생각하며 즐기겠습니다. 영상 감사합니다
I grew up with Larry and I love all Sierra Online adventure games.
You could have ordered the wine using the casino phone.
I never figured out how to get the booze from the shop to the casino. The cabbie always drank it and crashed. 25 years later I know the answer. *emotional sobbing*
How the fook is a person supposed to figure all this out by yourself? :O
+Johan Syffert Really. How the hell are you supposed to know all the commands?
+man oneoneninetwoeightzerothree
I was sitting with a dictionary on my lap
Ypu;re right. I played this game so many times until I remembered everything and finally got it all right and won.
Graduating from Zork to this taught you how to make the right commands. There was a 900 number that gave you clues but it cost a fortune...
It was so old you had to type in commands.
I never played this one before. Larry on the island is the one I most remember from my youth.
354k views and no dislikes! Says it all
I still remember not being able to "remove rubber" . Kept typing "take off" and other variations :P
Ah, sweet closure :)
When I was a kid, this game is installed in my uncle's computer. However, he didn't allow me to play it. Even I run the game, he had never taught me how to play it.
I'm 36 now. After I see this video, I understand why he didn't let me play this game.
I grew up with all of it
Growing up playing "Hugo's House of Horrors'....kick that pumpkin. I'll never get leisure suit larrys song out of my head. I'll have them play it at my funeral!
They did such a great job remaking this
Man I remember those days. My neighbor gave me this video game with I remember was on 3.50” floppy disk.
Thanks for this. Great memories
I used to "borrow" these games off mIRC and play them when my parents weren't looking.
Imagine Larry the lounge room lizard "the movie" starring Rowan Aktinson
Thanks for posting, I made my ringtone from the title melody :-)
Ken sent me.....
I used to like this game
His first time was longer than mine.
Why didn't you turn off the bubbles in the hot tub near the end?
Back when a dram of whiskey only cost $3.
Ah grew to this game as well . Play it on old Tandy computer
This brought back a lot of fun memories. Took forever to figure out back in the day
The bear carpet, a fine classic hahahahahahahaha
I wroted before to print screen, to prove that i really played this game hahahahahahahaha
🙈🙈🙈
Murph
I've always thought the intro music sounds a bit like the theme to Benny Hill (coincidence??). Also, as a kid I thought this was what it was like in Vegas. >_
Thx for playing though this game is really sad... it said Lizard men
Loved this game as a kid
Wow, 16 pretty colors, I was stuck with 4 in CGA.
All I had was an IBM XT with a green monitor.
I wish I still had it...
Good for Larry !!
And to think this game spawned 9 sequels...
I never knew about this game until today lol - but I grew up playing the original Sonny Bonds' Police Quest.
Ahhh thanks for this
