- You are not dreaming! You really can learn German in your sleep. The idea of sleep learning has captivated the work of scientists and it is still not fully explained. We all dream of just one day waking up speaking fluent German, or any other language. That of course remains a dream, but you can learn and reinforce knowledge while you are sleeping. New research seems to suggest we are getting closer to understand what goes on in the brain when we sleep, and how the restful state affects learning and memory formation. In any case, we have created videos to help you learn German in your sleep and other German videos to help you learn. The only thing you could complain about is that some phrases are very polite.(Some words are also a bit old but you can still say them because no one cares at all actually haha) Like, you wouldnt speak with your close friends like that but i think its still perfect for the people who wanna learn german. Long story short, its accurate yes and you will notice how to speak colloquially anyways if your really into leaning a language :D keep it up

I was born in Germany and lived there for 7 years of my life, understood german as a child and could understand the cartoons then moved to England and lost it ,can understand a fair amount and can read a decent amount but it’s time to learn it fluently

Is there any science that backs this "learning while you sleep" method? I've listened to hours of Terence McKenna while sleeping,: I don't know if I've gained any actual knowledge.
None at all. Drinking alcohol has been proven to help with language acquisition more than listening to things in your sleep.
I heard that u do accually learn it it's just so deep back in ur head that's it nearly impossible to tap, thats how ppl wake up from a coma speaking different languages. Still for most ppl it doesn't matter bc u won't ever tap it anyway unless u learn it .

But seriously, you use this while sleeping to get the phonetics, but still have to study while awake to get the grammar.
Babies in the womb are already learning their parent's language, then start picking up words here and there after they are born, become masters when they go to school.
I've improved a lot with this, my trick is, I play it at 75% speed to really grab the vowel sounds.

Hi! So at 16:13, the voice says "Wie heißen Sie" which is formal German for what's your name or equally "Wie heißen sie" (make note of the change in capital) which means "What are their names" just like the text. "Wie heißt du" is a more informal use of what's your name which is usually for close friends/family/God etc. think of it like being on a first name basis and same "social class".

It's a very good way to learn German while sleeping but could you please remove negative sentences like I am overweight, I'm forgetful or what a terrible day. I really like an affirmation and your mind absorbs it subconsciously.
