Thank you for watching and for the kind words! I enjoyed Sarajevo and Bosnia very much. I liked every city I went to. I miss Bosnia already. I am currently editing a video of a tour through Sarajevo Old Town. Hopefully you will see it later :)

You have sold me on Sarajevo! Can’t wait to visit, particularly the eastern section as it reminded me of Jerusalem. Also the Sarajevo Roses reminded me of Russia, where their historical monuments are everywhere to remember the war.

Thanks for the cool video of Sarajevo :) just to clarify on the alcohol thing in that supermarket, it’s because the owners of that mall are some investors from some Arab states, and they didnt want to have alcohol sold anywhere inside the mall unfortunately. But you can find it in any other store besides that luckily :)

Thank you for watching and the kind comment! That makes so much sense! I was sure there had to be a reason bc I didn’t experience anything similar anywhere else in Bosnia Herzegovina. I did run into a couple of restaurants that didn’t serve alcohol but they were very casual and folks didn’t linger very long. Out of the countries we visited in the Balkans, Bosnia Herzegovina was my favorite. I’d probably choose Sarajevo as my favorite city there, but I actually really enjoyed Trebinje, Mostar & Banja Luka as well. I regret not drinking more rakia 😢

Excellent video. Keep doing what you’re doing. Side note; Just got back from CDMX, used your videos as a guide, very impressed with the city, and the food options. Cheers!

@@intristang Don't stop. You're visiting some interesting places. Wife and I have become loyal viewers. Your food and drink reviews are different from other YTubers. I think, your monthly stays help you/us get a good feel for the cities you visit, at a month, you almost become a local...versus a weekender/week long vacationer.
As for CDMX. Stopped by Los Cocuyos: best suadero & cachete tacos we had in Mex City. Los Gueros for tripas and pastor were insanley good. Kuma for Ramen.
Don't recall these places on your videos...Found a cool bar, with great drinks and great staff called Handshake Bar, also a rooftop called La Terraza located by El Zocalo it had the coldest beer and a good vibe with great views. Mi Compa Chava was a must stop, Uni, Toro, ChuToro tostada was mind-blowing....while there, I heard, they might be setting up a location in LA.
Last but not least, Pujol lived up to the hype.
Looking forward to returning, very impressed by CDMX, felt safe, the service, the people, and lots of police from what we saw. I've been spoiled by CDMX tacos, don't see them the same here in LA.
P.S. I had a seat recliner on the way to Mexico City. (2 thumbs down).

@@tube7673 Really appreciate this comment and you and your wife for watching 🙏🏽it has been a bit of a rough patch lately, but I'm choosing to get better instead of giving up! We definitely have learned to love staying places for a month (after this trip, I don't think we will do anywhere less than one week).
Los Cocuyos is so good! I'll have to check out both Gueros and Kuma! I'll pass along Kuma to my friend living in CDMX. I think he's eaten most of the ramen spots, so will be interesting to see if he's tried it.
I think you're the second person to bring up Handshake bar, so I'll have to add that to my list of places to check out, too! I'm glad you hit up Mi Compa Chava! Them opening in LA makes a ton of sense... Pujol is one of the few restaurants that has so much hype yet lives up to it every single time. I guess that's why they are the #5 restaurant in the world (as of 2 days ago!).
Glad you had such a great trip. LA has great tacos but it's so hard to compare to the taco mecca that is CDMX!
Hopefully people learn not to recline so far back and think of the people behind them!!

Sold! My next destination. It will also facilitate a ‘pilgrimage’ I have wanted to make to Višegrad. One of the best and most enlightening books I have read is Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andrić which won him a Nobel Prize. It is a novel but traces the inter-religious conflicts from the 14th century until 1945. (Poignantly the bridge was the subject of more recent atrocity.). It seems to give context to the ongoing (but mindless) conflicts. I’ll cast around for companions (who will need to be able to keep up!). Love the videos. Keep them up too. M

Yes! It will certainly get you _much_ closer to Višegrad! I considered doing a day trip there!

Regarding the Konzum that does not sell alcohol, it is because it is in the SCC or BBI malls, which have been constructed by the Arab investors, so I believe it was their condition due to Islamic rules. Otherwise, we drink more than in other cities 😂 Hope this helps.

I hope you didn't forget to visit Ilidža, which is also a very popular part of Sarajevo ;)
Btw kinda unnecessary to ask if Sarajevo is safe it is probably safer than half europe

@@intristang Thats a pity :/ many people forget the western part of the city because they do not know that it also belongs to Sarajevo. This is because it is administratively different managed for practical reasons, but in fact it is still one and the same city (i dont blame Google we r complicated 😂)
There you can find the former residence of Franz Ferdinand and his people, as well as Sarajevo's most famous restaurant Brajlovic.
If you are in Sarajevo again, you just have to get on the tram. Ilidža is the final stop :)

Great Video if my city. Just one note regarding the Konzum supermarket and alcohol purchase. They sell alcohol in Sarajevo but you probably went to Konzum in one of the 2 biggest shopping malls BBI Center or SCC as short for Sarajevo City Center and these two are built with money from investors from muslim countries and for muslims it's not only forbidden to drink alcohol but to sell it as well. This is the only reason I'm aware of. Hope you enjoyed Sarajevo and Bosnia as there is something for everyone here.
