The fact that you include films like Melville's Le cercle rouge or the brilliant Rififi, while at the same time mentioning everything from "the great train robbery" to "Thief" and "Inception", just proves why this channel is easily one of the best on UA-cam.
Volvagia´s Blaze Watchmojo is a community based channel which can be prone to the community poor judgement and/or favoritism in certain category. Nothing is wrong with that but Watchmojo is still interesting for knowing the community opinion of things.
+Volvagia´s Blaze agreed. I bet a lot of people watch these to get inspiration on what to watch or if they missed a movie... watchmojo brings up same 20 oscar material films in list after list.
It's more to do with how poorly scripted the Watch Mojo videos are, as opposed to the movies the choose. The presenters lack any personality whatsoever, and their scripts say absolutely nothing of value or interest. It's like the UA-cam equivalent of a landfill site.
I always loved the underrated and forgotten (and marvellously acted) "Sneakers" from 1992. There are three heists in the film, each longer, bigger, and more elaborate than the one before it. A personal favorite.
Not enough thumbs up. Sneakers is BRILLIANTLY inventive, oozing with style, and the casting and acting is, without a trace of hyperbole, the best ever put to film. Robert Redford, Ben Kingsley, Sydney Poitier, David Strathairn, Mary McDonnell, River Phoenix, Dan Aykroyd? That's a MONSTER cast, and each one brings humor AND gravitas to their respective characters. I will admit that I'm a bit biased, since this was one of my late father's favorite movies from that era. The scene where Redford is trying to navigate for the blind character of David Strathairn as he tries to position the getaway vehicle is genius, quirky, and delightfully funny.
I might get some hate for this... but I think one of the most clever heist plots was in Die Hard 3... Where the villain hides bombs all over NY explaining that the reason is revenge for his brothers death by John Mclain and challenges the entire NYPD to find the bombs...while he is really stealing all the gold from the federal reserve thanks to one of the previous "random" bombs that went off by the federal reserve... brilliant.
I've always thought that Die Hard 3 was pretty well regarded critically. It's not a masterpiece like the first film but it's a welcome return to form after the silliness of Die Hard 2 and far far better than any of the sequels which followed it.
Two films I recommend 1. Lock stock and two smoking barrels ( If you not seen it were have you been ) 2. The Ladykillers is a 1955 British black comedy film made by Ealing Studios. The film has a heist in it but very simple one. It more deals with the aftermath when the gang relies they have to remove a witness a sweet little old lady ( easier said than done ).
IMO, the 2004 remake of The Ladykillers is the superior film, switching settings to the American Deep South, and playing up the vast differences in personality among the heist team, with a heaping helping of hilarious characterization for the "sweet" old lady.
The television series was better than any movie though for Mission: Impossible. And for TV con game shows Leverage and it's British cousin Hustle we're both brilliant. (I believe Hustle came first and Leverage was the US remake).
This movie isn't a heist movie, but nothing beats The Dark Knight's intro. That whole intro heist scene is so amazing. I almost wish they would make a whole movie based on a similar concept.
I think we need more *screenplay-oriented* top 10s of yours. The internet itself needs more screenplay material, there's just so much about directing, editing and cinematography already. And there are tons of different lists you can do when it comes to plot-lines, dialogues, character arcs, structure...!
Well, wow. You guys really do know your movies. This is so good for a movie lover because it's actually easy to forget some of the best ones from yesteryear or never to have come across them for whatever reason. At least seven or eight of these films I'll definitely be watching again in the near future, especially the foreign ones. So I say thank-you very much: entertaining and very informative without being in the least bit pretentious. Great stuff.
Definitely Melville-Delon's Le Cercle Rouge. Never seen anything like that before or after. Shooting a special bullet made by alchemy that melts with high speed through the key hole to release the lock while not being detected by the electronic monitor, that's crazy! C'est Incroyable!
Hard to argue with this list, but I'm partial to CIA computer heist from the first Mission Impossible, and one of my favorite underrated 90s films, Sneakers.
Thank you! A great list. My own personal list would include: The Hot Rock Gambit (original) And at the very top: TOPKAPI. Incredibly colorful, humorous, suspenseful, and some of the finest editing ever!
Yeah, there's honestly nothing else other than "Rififi" that could have taken the top spot. The silent heist is one of the best movie scenes of all time in my opinion.
The fact that there's really old films and foreign films alone gives this list significantly more substance and intellectual value than compared to other "top ten of all time" lists which mostly focus on 1980+ American-Hollywood films, but to then go into extra details, such as how films had a rule that crime doesn't pay, really shows that actual quality and effort has gone into this. Props.
I love your lists. They are so well thought out and very informative and I really appreciate that. And the fact that you mention several other movies besides the one you picked is awesome. Gives me a ton of movies to watch. Thanks.
This is an underrated video, they've clearly done a lot of research. Most top 10's are just, "oh what's on Netflix's current list, plus whatever I remember from last year, yeah that'll do"
The place beyond the pines. It's simple, gritty and unforgiving. It gives a glimpse to the consequences of doing bad things with good intentions. It might not be a proper heist movie those on the list are, but man it hits closer to home than any of them.
I love that you included Inside Man! What a different story from Lee! As far as movies you didn't mention, I'm still impressed by Gene Hackman's 2001 film Heist. Such an underrated gem.
A good mix of heist movies, thanks! I would add some of my favourites Original version of Oceans 11 with the rat pack The League of Gentlemen (British film from 1960) Topkapi The Long Arm (British film from 1956)
thank you thank thank you for including Inception on this list. I don't know how many times i've tried to explain to my friends that it is essentially a "heist" movie at heart. I can show them this video now for "proof"!
I absolutely love Inception, everything about it, it's *still* my second favourite movie ever, and I love that it's on this list!! The heist takes place in your mind :D I love this channel
Most of your list videos, I wind up adding at least half of them to my To Watch/Re-watch List. This time, I've added ALL of these to my List!! I forgot how much I enjoyed the ones I've seen from this list (besides Inception of course :D) and even the remakes. I didn't realize I love the heist movie genre so much! TYSM! Excellent video, excuse me while I go looking for them. ;)
I loved Inception but it isn't what I think is a heist movie. I would have included The Hot Rock starring Robert Redford and George Segal. It's a Heist Movie and it is hilarious. Also Thunderbolt and Lightfoot with Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges and George Kennedy.
Good pick with inception, I never really think of it as a heist movie. I usually describe it as sci-fi because the focus is mainly on time, persuasion, and psychology. Great job!
I'm glad that Kubrick's The Killing got a mention. Really a solid, extremely influential movie. Anyone who doubts it should watch The Killing and then some Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction especially).
When I saw the title, I immediately thought of 'The Italian Job', my favorite heist film of all time, so I'm very glad you included it. Personally, I would have ranked it higher, but at least it was there. (The 2005 reboot is pretty good, but not a patch on the original.) I'm rather partial to 1964's 'Topkapi' with Peter Ustinov as a unwilling participant in the heist orchestrated by Maxilmilian Schell and Melina Mercouri.
speebyda Nobody is talking about Gone Girl, but you said Affleck isn't a good actor, so I wrote "Gone girl plz" as an answer to your statement, because I think he acts good in Gone Girl. I also think he does a decent job in Argo. He has matured from the Daredevil days in my opinion.
Not surprised that this didn't make it to the list since it is danish and from another time era. But The Olsen Gang is a big part of danish movie culture and still beloved to this day. 14 movies about the perfect heist. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olsen_Gang
Daniel Danielsen please just a bad Jönsonligan copycat, why can't you just watch the swedish originals? I mean you understand Swedish because it is a klart och tydligt språk medans vi inte kan förstå danska för det är grötigt
Love or hate the movie, but the stealing of the Declaration of Independence in National Treasure was pretty cool and well done, at least for me. Worth a mention at the very least.
Can't argue with any of these, but I've got to send a shout-out to the single best episode of the original "Mission: Impossible" ever - the one with the cat. The entire hour is brilliantly plotted, but that final retrieval of the jade seal ("Come on, Rusty") and the moment where it actually slips out of the cat's mouth - a gasp that gets me every time - makes this a worthy addition to the genre.
Have you ever seen Rock'n Rolla or Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, both similar style to snatch, because they are all directed by Guy Ritchie. Hope I answered your question
One of the other reasons for the"something always goes wrong" rule, and why it's generally the case even now, is tension. Heists have a very unique problem from a storytelling perspective in that they tell you what's going to happen, then often show us a safe practise environment in which any of the parts that might otherwise be risky are rendered safe, then they show us what's happening. If everything goes according to plan, there's virtually no honest tension. Sure you can have the momentary tension caused by someone unexpected walking by - bank manager is working late, that sort of thing - but you don't have any chance to truly build intensity. To get that experience we're looking for, we need to not know everything. Either we need to be missing part of the plan (as I recall, this was the Ocean's Eleven take, but it's been probably over a decade since I've seen that movie), or we need something to go wrong, like Inception (involving their subject in the process by posing as his mental defenses). (Mal is a completely different problem; she doesn't fit into the heist mold.) One of the more recent heist movies I enjoyed was The Bank Job. It's a Jason Statham movie that isn't about him shooting things, but fortunately the character he plays is tailored to fit him fairly well. The premise is that the British government is being blackmailed based on some theoretically problematic photos of a member of the Royal Family, and MI5 (I think) indirectly hires a group of smalltime thieves to rob a bank's safety deposit boxes, demanding only the contents of a particular box as their share. The aftermath of the heist stirs up some rather significant issues with organized crime, resulting in an intrigue plot trying to get our modest bank thief safely to retirement.
Great job, and I'm now convinced that our Aussie version of the same movies are slightly different, I've noticed it with Showgirls, and I'd just watch Thomas Crown Affair "AU" version again just a couple days ago, a few seconds of your previews are not in our version! :( weird!
Thief as #2, what a fantastic, fabulous selection! Once again, as in The Thomas Crown Affair, the music sets the tone of the movie. Tangerine Dream, a West German electro-synth group, established circa 1968, did all the music (no lyrics to it) and the film only works with the added element of Tangerine Dreams' musical score. Other movies TD scored, partial or completely, include Risky Business (the scene with Tom Cruise and Rebecca De mornay making love on the subway, song is titled Love On a Real Train), Firestarter (with a very young Drew Barrymore) and Vision Quest (Matthew Modine.) That's off the top of my head. I'm positive there are more but I didn't cheat and google it/them.
My personal favorite is the Hot Rock (1972) With Robert Redford. As one of the characters puts it " I had heard, of course, of the habitual criminal. But I never thought to become involved in the habitual CRIME."
Kelley's Heroes, Heat, The Great Train Robbery (1978, with Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland), and The Hot Rock all spring to mind. But thank you for at least mentioning Thief, which I've always thought is habitually "criminally" overlooked.
awesome videos. really appericate your effort. It Ain't Easy, I know it's something I could do. that being said "A Fish Called Wanda" and "the ref" both count as heist movies in my book. I'm not looking to change any answers just give them a honorable mention keep up the good work.
There's a wonderfully quirky Australian film called "Malcolm" which sports one of the most unique and clever bank heists on film. The movie itself is not a heist film generally, but the bank robbery is so different that it's a delight to see.
From France, Good Job and Good List ! Personnaly, I prefer the masterpiece "Le Cercle Rouge" to "Rififi"... The director Jean-Pierre Melville was one of our greatest cinema Director. His other films, "Le Samouraï" about a hitman (Alain Delon) and "Army of Shadows" a movie about French resistance during the Second War, both are Classical Masterpieces. And in my opinion, "Heat" by Michael Mann should be Number One ... No doubt ! He reinvented the Heist movie and the thriller. He has so influenced all the new filmmakers modern !
I'm not even mad that "Sexy Beast" wasn't one of the ten. I'm just glad it got mentioned because it was a fantastic heist movie that not many people have seen or even heard of.
Thinking of heist movies the one that came to mind was Entrapment. But, looking back I'm thinking that's because it came out during my early pubescent years and the shot(s) of Catherine Zeta-Jones dipping and dancing through all those red yarn strings (and lasers) is deeply seated in my mind. Lots and lots of "planning" in that movie, but it all tends to be shots of Catherine Zeta-Jones in skin tight clothing doing gymnastics.
Dog Day Afternoon, The Score, Swordfish, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Heat, The Usual Suspects, Snatch, Point Break, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels... all at least deserve to be mentioned!!
Certainly not the 'best' of all time, but The Bank Job was awesome I thought. I think Statham as that kind of leading man is fun. Yes he's tall dark and handsome and intimidating, but he's more thematic a presence than him just kicking endless ass. But the Bank Job was cool, and there is a whole third act of specific fallout from what happened. plus it's based on a true story-you don't often see what happens next.
The fact that you include films like Melville's Le cercle rouge or the brilliant Rififi, while at the same time mentioning everything from "the great train robbery" to "Thief" and "Inception", just proves why this channel is easily one of the best on UA-cam.
Transformers, best heist movie of all time. They keep pumping out the same thing and we all still go and waste our money.
OMG best comment yet
So.. religion is a heist too? :D
Twilight?
as a non sci-fi fan transformers was amazing....in my top 10 all day👌
Same as superhero movies nowadays
These top 10s are so much better than watchmojos'. At least in my opinion
Volvagia´s Blaze Watchmojo is a community based channel which can be prone to the community poor judgement and/or favoritism in certain category. Nothing is wrong with that but Watchmojo is still interesting for knowing the community opinion of things.
Pandaxtor true, though i there is a very fan boyish feeling in their videos.
Pandaxtor There *is* something wrong with the lowest common denominator. It is not interesting. It should not be celebrated.
If Wallace and Grommit: The Wrong Trousers was a full-length movie, it would need to be on this list.
people have no idea how tense they get as they watch that scene in the museum! They're gripping the chair and when you tell them, they say "What?"
@@keithklitses6433 yep I agree 100% that is one of the most tense heists of all time.
I completely agree.
I always loved the underrated and forgotten (and marvellously acted) "Sneakers" from 1992. There are three heists in the film, each longer, bigger, and more elaborate than the one before it. A personal favorite.
I'm necroing this comment section but I was also thinking about Sneakers, what a fantastic movie and cast.
@@invisiblek5783 Necroing? As in killing it? Necrotising?
@@yesspazsmith9895 Haha, I guess folks don't use that term anymore. In this context it means to bring it back from the dead.
Not enough thumbs up. Sneakers is BRILLIANTLY inventive, oozing with style, and the casting and acting is, without a trace of hyperbole, the best ever put to film. Robert Redford, Ben Kingsley, Sydney Poitier, David Strathairn, Mary McDonnell, River Phoenix, Dan Aykroyd? kil koh I actually did like that one. Dunno why it gets hate.
Die hard 3 was actually my favorite of all the die hard movies.
I've always thought that Die Hard 3 was pretty well regarded critically.
It's not a masterpiece like the first film but it's a welcome return to form after the silliness of Die Hard 2 and far far better than any of the sequels which followed it.
also double crosses his employers by faking blowing up all the gold.definately the perfect heist, if only mcclane didn't have a headache
I don't know if you get enough praise but here it goes: Your channel is one of the reasons YT is still worth it. Keep up the good work, guys!
Two films I recommend
1. Lock stock and two smoking barrels ( If you not seen it were have you been )
2. The Ladykillers is a 1955 British black comedy film made by Ealing Studios. The film has a heist in it but very simple one. It more deals with the aftermath when the gang relies they have to remove a witness a sweet little old lady ( easier said than done ).
Lord Sadism - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels should definitely have been on this list!
IMO, the 2004 remake of The Ladykillers is the superior film, switching settings to the American Deep South, and playing up the vast differences in personality among the heist team, with a heaping helping of hilarious characterization for the "sweet" old lady.
foiled by Miss Lopsided
The fact that mission: impossible didn't even get a mention is really surprising to me. It's so iconic
I think that is more counted as a spy movie
The television series was better than any movie though for Mission: Impossible. And for TV con game shows Leverage and it's British cousin Hustle we're both brilliant. (I believe Hustle came first and Leverage was the US remake).
Love that you included Thief, which so many people seem to have forgotten.
This movie isn't a heist movie, but nothing beats The Dark Knight's intro. That whole intro heist scene is so amazing. I almost wish they would make a whole movie based on a similar concept.
I gotta go with The Sting. Don't know if it counts as a heist though.
Dingo D. Manhunter yes that is classic!
'The Sting' is a con game. A grift. This is about straight up thieves.
Dingo D. Manhunter +
The Sting is about a con.
Yeah, I was thinking of that one
I think we need more *screenplay-oriented* top 10s of yours. The internet itself needs more screenplay material, there's just so much about directing, editing and cinematography already.
And there are tons of different lists you can do when it comes to plot-lines, dialogues, character arcs, structure...!
"The Incredibles" should definitely make that list.
You guys make the best top tens, you introduce me to movies I never heard of and are now interested in. Keep it up!
Great stuff.
damn, what a list!!! the fact that you have mentioned so many others in between make it just perfect! Congrats!
'How To Steal A Million' is a worthy heist film....
Great movie!
Any movie with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole has to be a classic.
I can't be the only one who was hoping for The Wrong Trousers at #1?
I was thinking Die Hard, in that we aren't on the side of the thief
I am an exceptional thief Ms. McClain, and since I'm moving up to kidnapping you should be more polite!
Great list, guys. I love it when you mention an old classic film that regular moviegoers never heard of.
I liked "The Sting" a lot personally, would have been nice if it was shown throughout
I'd classify "The Sting" as a con-artist movie as opposed to a heist movie.
Yeah that's true, good movie though but it's more of a con-artist movie indeed
+Luca Eikelbeck Oh, I absolutely agree that it is a great movie!
Topkapi is a good one
Thank you! A great list.
My own personal list would include:
The Hot Rock
Gambit (original)
And at the very top: TOPKAPI.
Props.
1951's The Lavender Hill Mob also well worth a watch.
The Killing is one of my favorite movies, glad it at least got mentioned.
As always, thank you.
As always, please include every mentioned title in the description, not just the top 10.
I love heist movies =)
I love your lists. They are so well thought out and very informative and I really appreciate that. And the fact that you mention several other movies besides the one you picked is awesome. Gives me a ton of movies to watch. Thanks.
This is an underrated video, they've clearly done a lot of research. Most top 10's are just, "oh what's on Netflix's current list, plus whatever I remember from last year, yeah that'll do"

too predictable
I was worried you guys wouldn't mention Jules Dassin, but you came through. Well done.
I love that you included Inside Man! What a different story from Lee! As far as movies you didn't mention, I'm still impressed by Gene Hackman's 2001 film Heist. Such an underrated gem.
A good mix of heist movies, thanks! I would add some of my favourites
Original version of Oceans 11 with the rat pack
The League of Gentlemen (British film from 1960)
Topkapi
The Long Arm (British film from 1956)
I go to this channel to find a good movie to watch that i haven’t seen, you haven’t failed me yet
"Is there a number between thirteen and eleven, I sure can't remember one" the SHADEE 😂
Can anyone tell me what's wrong with Ocean's 12 though?
It's "twiteen."
thank you thank thank you for including Inception on this list. I don't know how many times i've tried to explain to my friends that it is essentially a "heist" movie at heart. I can show them this video now for "proof"!
You did mention Heat, which I think is one of the absolute favorites. So realistic that it hurts.

a bit late to this party but I can't thank you enough for this list and the A+ quality work y'all do every damn time!
Yes yes rififi. .so glad that you recognised this great heist movie.big thumbs up from me.
CineFix, I will be forever grateful for putting me on to the masterpiece that is Thief, easily one of my favorite movies now
Well, another awesome video guys! This one is going to my "favorites" playlist... I need to watch A LOT of movies!
The Score, Deniro and Norton are awesome!
Inside Man definitely has to be here
definitely needed a category for non heist movie heist. the clown caper by the joker was brilliant.
OHMYGOOOSH! The exact films I am looking for! Great! Thank you !!!!
Honorable mentions thats not that bad:
- The Bank Job
- LSTSB
- The Town
- Now you see me
I loved the town for some reason.
speebyda
^^Gone girl plz
speebyda Nobody is talking about Gone Girl, but you said Affleck isn't a good actor, so I wrote "Gone girl plz" as an answer to your statement, because I think he acts good in Gone Girl. I also think he does a decent job in Argo. He has matured from the Daredevil days in my opinion.
speebyda Well, Argo wasn't groundbreaking, but I thought he did really well in Gone Girl. We've yet to see a groundbreaking performance though.
One of my favorites, even though it's not a movie, it is only one scene, is the Joker bank robbery in the Dark Knight. Really well done!
The original Italian Job is awesome ---the Ocean's remake less so...
Would love to see your countdown of prison break films.
The Italian Job better be on this list
Thank god for that I would have had a heart attack
Not surprised that this didn't make it to the list since it is danish and from another time era. But The Olsen Gang is a big part of danish movie culture and still beloved to this day. 14 movies about the perfect heist. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olsen_Gang

Yeah Bee Except Olsen Banden IS the original and Jönsonligan is the spinoff. Stick to Your Kötbullar and send me all your women! XP
Daniel Danielsen Are all three of them in it?
Recently picked up Rififi on Blu-ray, looking forward to checking it out!
Wonderful how you didnt disclose anything from the plot and yet, still explained why is the pick the pick. Appreciated
I appreciate that you almost always include some foreign flicks on your lists.
Love or hate the movie, but the stealing of the Declaration of Independence in National Treasure was pretty cool and well done, at least for me. Worth a mention at the very least.
that scene was really accurate as to how hard it is to actually steal the real deal, they have a accurately made on sheep skin fake on display.
The town
We definitely threw it around
Great to hear I was impressed by that one.
Favorite heist movie personally m, great job
Can't argue with any of these, but I've got to send a shout-out to the single best episode of the original "Mission: Impossible" ever - the one with the cat. Wooooo excited. For this and multiple other reasons!
Inside Man was imperfect, but still a very fun ride. I've seen the film like 5 times.
This inspires me to come up with my own ideas for a heist movie.
Inception is honestly one of my favourite movies of all time.
So great that you picked "Rififi" for nr 1. Its a great movie and a superb heist :-)
Oh my God there is nobody here yet... I can say whatever I want with no repercussions... testicle!!!
I've never seen Snatch, is it good? Is it like a heist movie?
It's awesomebbut I wouldn't call it a heist movie.
LiTTleGaBi21 Can you compare a movie to it?
Have you ever seen Rock'n Rolla or Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, both similar style to snatch, because they are all directed by Guy Ritchie. Hope I answered your question
Red Key Like a more fast-paced British version of early Tarantino flicks (especially Pulp Fiction).
I might watch it soon :D
Way late, but I have a soft spot for Sneakers.
Watching Rififi. Came here just to see if the heist is number one! Perfect!

Either we need to be missing part of the plan (as I recall, this was the Ocean's Eleven take, but it's been probably over a decade since I've seen that movie), or we need something to go wrong, like Inception (involving their subject in the process by posing as his mental defenses). (Mal is a completely different problem; she doesn't fit into the heist mold.)
One of the more recent heist movies I enjoyed was The Bank Job.
War Wagon......John Wayne Kirk Douglas. Holds up really well, fantastic combination of heist and the western genre!
'Firefox' starring Clint Eastwood is the most original heist movie I've ever seen
Kelley's Heroes, Heat, The Great Train Robbery (1978, with Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland), and The Hot Rock all spring to mind. But thank you for at least mentioning Thief, which I've always thought is habitually "criminally" overlooked.
How come Fast 5 was not mentioned??? That last heist scene was incredible!!!!
Die Gentlemen bitten zur Kasse - classic! ^_^
What about that heist in despicable me 2? You know the one where they stole that dudes salsa recipe? Blew my mind! Absolutely, blew my mind!
i literally paused this video and watched every one of these movies a day well spent
awesome videos. really appericate your effort. It Ain't Easy, I know it's something I could do. that being said "A Fish Called Wanda" and "the ref" both count as heist movies in my book. I'm not looking to change any answers just give them a honorable mention keep up the good work.
Missing my favorite, David Mamet's Heist (2001)
Super underrated movie.
I was specifically looking for a comment on Heist. Definitely underrated and most definitely a great heist movie!
Seriously! Great acting, great dialogue, great planning, great misdirection. Should've been on this list.
Roger Donaldson's The Bank Job is a superb heist movie that doesn't get enough respect. Amazing film.
"The Hatton Garden Job" was always one of my fave heist films.
You nailed it with your number 1
I love all these ones, but I liked the "The Score" too.
Exactly, I can't remember anything else of that movie, but that scene is etched in for good.
Glad Sexy Beast got a mention--lots to love about that movie.
Dog Day Afternoon, The Score, Swordfish, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Heat, The Usual Suspects, Snatch, Point Break, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels... all at least deserve to be mentioned!!
Good thing you put Thief on this list.
I love it but not even a mention about the score? Come on Robert de niro and ed norton
+fever911 and Marlon Brando
Good film.
that movie sucks. de niro with all those heavy gadgets is ridiculous, I remember laughing at how bad it was. I mean the heist parts
One or all of the heists from POINT BREAK. perfectly sets up suspicion, characters, human emotions and the psychology of fear and thrills.
I liked the Bank Job as well - like every heist movie, we see the heist itself, but like Resovoir dogs, we also see the aftermath.
Tommy Carr Reservoir Dogs is pretty much only the aftermath!
I mean it's a mix of normal heist movies and the uniqueness of Resovoir Dogs.
Matt Gohn I agree with you, but he’s not tall he’s only 5ft 7
