I feel like the requirement to adopt a child fits soooo well for River, it's like Fletcher inspired her to adopt because he stepped up and was such a great dad!
Absolutely! And it showed her that you don't have to be related by blood to be a family. It makes sense that she would want to pass this on.
Maybe enroll her in babysitting - won't that help with the parenting-skill?
Babysitting would even give river the idea of wanting to adopt a child one day

Great idea! And it suits her determination perfectly that, when she is still too young for a regular career, she simply finds a solution instead of waiting. Maybe she makes the connections while babysitting that will lead her to a career as a critic (e.g. babysitting for a chef couple?)

please add a white picket fence to the house 😆 that’s how I picture a “perfect” family house! I also think it would be really cute to have River take up babysitting for awhile before her real career since she really wants to have kids!
Kind of need it for the edge of the seawall too, otherwise it would feel kind of unsafe to have kids just able to wander up to that 😅 especially since River is super family focused I think she'd care about that

I like the idea that Vincent feeling inadequate compared to River rubs off on her so much that she starts to doubt herself. Not feeling like she can go to Vincent about this problem leads her to confiding in Julius instead. She already has a huge crush on him but because he’s also making her feel good emotionally she starts to slowly fall in love and that leads to the affair between her and Julius.
I do love that you kept it mostly unfurnished. Gives those real moving feels! Those boxes too!

Fletcher loved River before he even loved Ivy. He is the only dad river ever had so I’m glad she had a heart to heart with him
Maybe the one time affair could be with one of the crushes before she gets married 🤔 like, River gets cold feet and thinks she’s making a mistake marrying Vincent and realizing no that affair wasn’t right and Vincent is the one? Just based on that she seems to have a few options already… I love the dog! Blue Berry seems fitting… I think it would also be cute to have her neighbors be young couples too 😊

After you finish this challenge, you should have an episode of all your favourite moments and throwbacks and bloopers from all other gens. I think that would be so fun 🌈
Or do a CAS challenge when she changes the gender of each generation and recreate the vibe and style of the character to see how they would look

I love that she has a crush on another boy, like if it was the first time she doubted about her love, and she will have a secret affair with him later, because she asked herself if grass was greener with the crush... but eventually stop it at a moment, because Vincent is her true love
I think the house and location best suited the coastal vibes, but I kinda like maybe the French country aesthetic. Dark academia worked when she was at her parents place but maybe it was Vincent being like but blue and white looks better here (very Dallas cowboys football team which I think that would be his sports team)

The main bedroom with the floral walllpaper is giving me "Ivy Nostalgia" vibes, because although the flowers themselves are not ivy related, all of the vines do give an ivy vibe so it's sort of keeping mom close sort of way.
You could do Light Academia! Combo those coastal vibes with the academic ones!

I love blueberry for the dog name! My idea was that the dog's name could be a little hint of her metal love: Ozzy, Slash, Dio, Lemmy, Slayer or something
I love the new house! Please keep it constal chic, we need a bright house after so much darkness in the previous one 😂. Also I feel like River grew up and now changed into more of a perfect family-house image, focusing on that and her job more than studying etc so the aesthetic change makes sense. Also yes to cheating with Julius 😂, maybe she moved and started her adult life and she gets scared it all happened too fast and so mistakes happen.. maybe even a cheating baby lol.

I always find watching/reading this gene so interesting, because most simmers seem to feel like Kelsey, 'I can't believe we're going to ruin his life!', even though the one-time affair is meant to be a secret, so the sim in question's life _isn't_ ruined. They're totally oblivious! Blissfully ignorant. I can only assume this exact situation has happened countless times throughout history. Point being, I'm always interested to see how us simmers, with the burden of omnipotence, are *way* more upset by that requirement than the sims involved (particularly the oblivious spouse)!
The sims should add the ability to lock the fridge honestly. Not disallow guests from accessing it entirely, but add the door locking system to the fridge. I almost always make open kitchens or only put in an arch doorway so I can't just keep guests out of the kitchen, but it's really annoying when you have family over for harvestfest and half your guests grab something from the fridge as you're actively making the grand meal.
I love how giddy Kelsey gets every video when she mentions the 1 million follower target, we get closer to helping her achieve it every week
Looove the coastal! Maybe have a cute little dark academia basement study so it isnt clashing with the cosy coast vibes? Or add a touch of darkwood bookshelves and navy lamps and stuff around? Subtle but still River energy

I feel like River is cosplaying being an adult in a grandma’s house or something. I definitely think dark academia is the way to go. She is young and preppy and I think growing up in forgotten hollow will make her like darker things a bit more. This coastal vibe doesn’t really suit her in my opinion. She gives me energy of a girl who would go to saltburn, and that has all the dark and preppy vibes!

Bicycling gets Sims fun up really quickly, plus it builds the fitness skill. Maybe Vincent could get a bike?
I was going to suggest that if River had some time to spare before adulthood, she could start practicing writing. The critic career requires some levels in writing.

Aside from how impressive it is that you’ve almost finished all 10 generations, I also think it’s impressive just how entertaining the narratives you create for all your sims are. Not to mention how well you roll with the punches the game throws at you (like Ivy dying lol). You’ve done so much more than just tick the boxes of this challenge. This series feels like something timeless that I’ll come back to over and over again. I’m getting sad that it’s almost over. ❤

In case y’all wondered how he conquered fear; Whenever a sim has a fear , you can do a want and then discuss fears with partner. Then it’s all good

It's crazy how fast Fletcher got that dad bod going on. Good video! I did the "teens living on their own thing" in one of my personal games. It's sort of fun, but you don't get the added benefit of parents being around to up their manners and whatever, and the live-in BF is forever marked as a super sibling. That 'aint right. (And they had separate beds, of course.)
