  • It's time to restock the pantry! I have $1100 to provide all of our food and household needs for our family of NINE for the month. I've carefully planned out where to shop and what prices are the best. I've studied the sale ads and I know which stores have the best prices. Today's shopping comes from 10 Box, Aldi, Kroger, and Wal-Mart. Later in the month, I'll make purchases from Sam's Club and Azure Standard. Come see the supplies a large family needs to live off of for a month!

The video was perfectly watchable Janice - i have noticed some negative comments , which you answered graciously - i occasionally find a video from people i follow that doesnt interest me, so, i dont watch it, simple as that. We all need to remember that we dont pay to watch videos, and that it takes time and effort to record them. We also have choice, to watch or not - there's no need to express your dislike of the content of a video, just scroll on by to something you do like - kindness costs nothing.....

Janice I don't have the same stores as you but after watching your videos I have started doing the sales flyers in my area. a week or so ago one of my stores had butter on for 2lbs for $5 and I stocked up for the freezer. I was telling my husband that I was going to get it and he said Is that a good price and all I could do was laugh I told him I had been paying up to and over $5 per lb. It is just the two of us and he does a lot of the cooking for us but he had gone through all but about a lb of butter in my stash doiing cookies not long ago so I was estatic to see this sale. Thanks for your videos Amy from MS

The Moser Roth chocolate from Aldi's is lovely and better in texture and taste than the more expensive brands on the market, in my opinion. My lovely neighbours usually buys me them for my birthday or Easter and as I can't get to the Aldi store myself, it really is a much appreciated treat. ❤️🕯️🙏

Groceries are not my favorite videos. But one week you talked about a very good price on sharp cheddar at Aldi. I took advantage of it and saved some money. I also shop at Kroger and you have pointed out sales that I can utilize. So even though not as enjoyable for me to watch, all your hard work helps my budget. Thanks.

Hi Janice, a quick notation on the butter from Aldi, they allow you to get 6 of each, salted and unsalted. So you could actually get 12 pounds at that price, if you use unsalted that is. I didn't find the shakiness a bother at all! Have a lovely day!~Angel

I go to 4 different stores when I shop, they're all within a few blocks of each other. Every Wednesday morning when the new Ads come out I will do my digital coupons, get my Notebook ( I never go shopping without it) and start my shopping list. I try to keep my Pantry Room stocked and organized. It's almost like a game to me to see how much I can save, it's myself, hubby, and our daughter has moved back in with us while she's in college, both are VERY PICKY eaters. I enjoy your shopping list and ' What's for dinner videos!
Last week I saved $ 118.00 total from the 4 stores I shopped at. Tomorrow I go to Sam's and Costco they're having sales.

Goodmorning Janice, you certainly have very good prices for meat and chicken. Over here meat, chicken etc are so expensive. For example chicken drum sticks are about €4.50 per kilo and beef prices start from about €10-12 per kilo. (I think 1 kilo = 2.2 pounds). Have a lovely day 🙏

Hi Janice, Why not go 3 min. down the road to dollar tree? For your apple juice you're paying .029/oz. whereas Dollar tree is .019/oz for 64 oz. and the grape juice is .046/oz whereas dollar tree is .019/oz. And they have Welch's, Old Orchard both of which are good. Also, you pay .39/oz. for your cheese and crackers whereas Dollar tree is .36/oz. I stocked up (30 lbs.) on the butter from Aldi, too. Buuut, it was from an animal feed store in a 50lb bag for $16.75 and it was the brand name kind! Sodium bicarbonate is sodium bicarbonate, it wouldn't surprise me at all that they jack the price when selling it "for people" compared to "for animals". The only difference between the "feed grade" and baking soda you get at a regular store is that the "feed grade" is 27.1% sodium and baking soda is 27.3%. Hi, Im in MO too:) The closest Aldi's is 20 minutes away. Years ago, we purchased items and they were disgusting lol. However, fast-forward to today, many friends & family shop there; apparently it has changed for the better. We have recently went and were pleased with the products. Keep inspiring us grocery shoppers!❤

Thanks for sharing, Tania!! I cannot recall a bad experience with our Aldi, but you're not the first person that has been unhappy with some of their products, especially produce. I'm so glad, though, that you've noticed improvements at your local Aldi. I really do notice a large savings when buying from there! :)

Hi Chloe! I usually make our our meal plan on Sundays. I'll look through the refrigerators and pantries and decide what needs to be used up and plan meals based on that. The sale items that I purchased from the ads that week make a big impact on what I choose to fix. I feel like I save a lot of money by planning our meals based on the good deals I've been able to get. 😁

You can't use herb tea because of the essential oils in the herbs (the scoby doesn't like them). However you can use hibiscus tea or rooibos tea instead of green tea.
