Thanks for the video (developer here). Links in edit mode can be opened with a long press. Simple tap would be more intuitive though. I made my notes for improvements!

Thanks Eduard for your comment! I replied on Twitter already that a long press for editing and short press for opening might be more intuitive. But that’s me personal opinion 👍

I like the idea of favorites, but don't get rid of the file structure! My one suggestion for files would be for when new files are added to a folder that the folder would not open up. (I spend a lot of time closing folders.) Keep up the great work!

@@StevenMichels Yeah, I know what you mean. The auto-opening is some default and it's two-sided. When you try to move a file into another sub folder it could get annoying to search for the note..., but I thought of a feature like "move note to...".

      Hello Eduard
      I have 4 questions about Noteplan3.
1-When we write a task in the Daily Notes section, can we drag and drop it to the calendar later? (It was in the Google calendar / tasks section)
2-Can we add a reminder feature / clock feature to the notes we write on the page? Do we need to add it to the calendar as a reminder?
3-Does Noteplan3 send reminder notification on Mac?
4-Can we drag and drop notes to other categories?
I've been trying for 3 days, but I couldn't find these features. Otherwise I am thinking of canceling. I do not want to pay.
I am currently using the Ticktick app.
However, the calendar feature is insufficient.
Noteplan3 is fine at this point, but it's too bad that it lacks other features.
I also wanted to get information from you.
      thank you

@@NS-kg9rp I think Stacey replied to you already. But I'm giving you a quick reply here again:
1- You can't drag & drop, but you can re-schedule to another day by clicking on the hover button on the left of a task or assign a time to make it show up in the timeline just by writing something like "at 14:00" or "at 2pm".
2- How do you mean "reminder/click to the notes"? How do you expect it to behave differently from a regular reminder? Or you want to write something like "@remind(2pm)"?
3- Yes, through the Reminders app. So, it's not coming directly from NotePlan, it syncs the reminder to the Reminders app and you see the notification on all your devices.
4- You can drag & drop notes into different folders, if you mean this.
Let me know what other features you are missing, I'm happy to note them for future development!

Hi Tom! A great review again and I use many software because of your recommendation, such as MIRO. Thanks for commenting NP3. The reason for me to use NP3 is I use iPad as my daily driver and what you described which can't do in iPad is actually workable(but not intuitive), such as 'cmd+enter' to exit typing mode to clickable mode, `cmd`+1 to toggle sidebar, etc. I think the most important reason for me to use this software is actually the flexibility and iOS support, so I can use other software, like iVIM for iPad, to edit the markdown files, accompanying NP3 with its calendar/reminder and cloud syncing capability. To be honest, ROAM is more smoother and better in general, but connecting to the internet as the pre-requisite does not fit my workflow plus vim key binding does not support anyway.:) I finally pick NP3 as the winner for my workflow and expect its improvement gradually.:) My two cents.

I've been using NotePlan for a couple of months now. I love its integrations with Reminders and Calendar, it's speedy fast, and since you're working from local files, it's secure. It's clean and simple UI is also a huge draw. I'm hooked! Also, NotePlan is unique in many ways; I don't see much value in making it more like Roam or whatever, especially since many of those differences are weaknesses.

Great app 50 bucks a year and you put all your life together - works even with obsidian very good and functional . No play gams like to do ist or notion anymore with this two. Less is more.

I've started using NotePlan because of the integration with Outlook calendar and Reminders. There are some annoyances - like the way it handles links, leaving the URL instead of just the link text which sometimes makes notes look "messy" because of long URL's, and the fact that you cannot specify a folder as you are creating a page. Other than that I love it!

Yep! I said the same about the links in the video. Don’t get it why they show it this way...

It really depends on what you need it for. Are you one of my Inner Circle members yet? If so, feel free to post the question in the community (community.paperlessmovement.com/) and we can look into detail what would work best for you. In general, Noteplan I would use if you really want to use tasks and Calendar functions but also control over your files whereas Craft is nice to look at (I just love the design) and it is accessible via Webaccess.

Ok I have been using this for a month. I really like the features as far as notes, tasks and calendar. But there are some things that I require and I have heard from the developer that they are coming. Like file attachments. Also not that it’s not worth it to some folks but to me I need a little more functionality to justify the price. I am not opposed to subscriptions. Also I need o be able to own my data so exporting to various formats is a must.
I like the direction of NotePlan but at this time with all the competition I am not willing to pay the price. I am keeping my eye on it though.
PS: Also since I am only a team of one I don’t need mentions and teams etc. I think a lot of the subscription apps are geared toward teams etc and value their app price based on this. One other thing is that there is Agenda notes which does basically the same thing as NotePlan 3 and it’s more or less a one time cost.

Thanks for a good and honest review, I have been pondering with this app earlier. If the price would be half, I might consider. As it is now, silly expensive for my use.
