*NotePlan 3 is our app of discussion today!* An exciting take on a calendar, note-taker and to-do list application with a backlinks twist. The more I look at NotePlan the more impressive it does get. Would love to hear your thoughts folks! 📮
I really like this. I don't need full on Roam or Obsidian. Thanks for reviewing it! - Question, there's a new MacOS/iOS note taking app called North Notes (it's on both app stores). It's simpler, but you have the option to buy the app instead of monthly fees. That's a rarity now. It does tasks/notifications/repeating tasks. I'd love to learn your thoughts on the app.
@@toolfinderhq I know my comment was a little short. It was not meant as a dig at you. I use Windows, Android and a Mac for work so if something isn't cross platform it is hard for me to use.
No Web version and tied to the apple system? Thats a deal breaker even for a number of Apple users as many people have to access their note's on at work on company windows pc's. The whole point of note syncing is to be able to access your notes anywhere.
@@toolfinderhq I find that in the age of the internet, being exclusive to a certain platform narrows all potential for great tools like this. Like with tools like Things 3. It almost feel like a cultish move.

Thanks for the review, Francesco! And as always great feedback, I made my notes!
Aha. Good to hear ;)
Awesome, detailed review, Francesco! I so appreciate the shoutout!!! I've been a fan of your channel for years & have learned so much from you.
Pleasure to feature your work, great overview Stacey!
Great video. I like the combination of calendar, tasks and note. You see your day at a glance
Ugh. Free trial but you have to select a paid plan first. Why can’t they just let us try the app with no strings attached? Hate when apps do this.
It does seem a little Apple-esque.
It might not be very consistent, but Apple often requires developers to use their trial system if the business model is a subscription.
It looks like a combination of Agenda and Obsidian/Roam. I'm going to give it a spin. I love the local files and markdown.
@@samanderson1283 It's the best parts of them :)
Thanks for your review. How is the data stored? It is cloud-based or is it stored locally, etc.
Not really seeing of what having a calendar/task manager bolted on to my note-taking app is.

It's a happy blend, I'll have a peek Brett!
Thank you. Very helpful.
Looks very interesting. I'm going to give it a try 😃
Have fun!
ios version doesn't have the week ahead or the daily schedule
Only just noticed that, that’s odd!
Maybe it’s a missed launched feature?
Apple only? Show stopper for me.
I try to include this at the start these days aha.

Review: Great; Background Loop: Awful

works perfectly and syncs on iPhone, too
Its not any competitor unless they do this for windows users, which is most PC users.
I'm not sure they have it in the pipeline too Mei
Have plan to switch on windows... need on win
I won't touch apps that are locked into one platform.
😊
seems like it was revamped recently, maybe worth a new video
Excited to try this app and...just joking Im Android/Windows scrub.
The music is super annoying here and spoils the video.
Noted!
🍎🤢🤮
Aha, we really need to do a few more Android focused tools!
Watch this space!

@Kelly Anastasia Sure, ok 😘
