Although I'm a V8 guy, I love this little matchbox car......lots of power and light enough to be sent thru the mail with 1st class postage!! Just awesome....I'm an old man and still would love to spin it a few times. "Did ya have fun drivin' it over here?" "Naw, hated it all the way." LOL You've got the most wicked chuckle, Shawn! Haha! 40+ years ago I owned a Cosworth Vega that I cammed, put 42 DCOE Webers on, a bunch more stuff....I used to love that 4-banger that would spin over 9 grand.....why in hell did I sell it....in short, I guess a car doesn't have to be a V8, huh?
I’m with you here! I’m a V8 guy too but the truth is I’m a power to weight guy for a true driving experience and this is a driver all the way!

Awesome bit of kit that is.! My current e30 used to be a supercharged m52b28 (euro obv). It had dinan powwrdyne bd11a supercharger, smaller pulley at 8 psi and water meth. It made 300 on a base map on 95 octane fuel. I since ripped it put to do a v8 swap. Not far off getting her back out now. Maybe supercharge that one day 🙈

Running megaaquirt evo pro standalone ecu . Rotrex stage two blower kit running 12lbs boost. Meth injection, e85, 1000cc injectors. Bc racing coilovers, conti dw ext tires 285 rears 255fronts . Full poly bushings everywhere, uuc twin disc clutch, hnr sway bars. Wilwood 4piston 340mms rotors front 2pot rears. Eisennman quad exhaust custom mid pipe and headers. Michimoto fan, catch can, expansion tank. Turner motorsport pulleys, New crank pulley and harmonic damper from ati . There's more I can't recall but man it's been a journey 4years and it's finally almost done.

Wow car is near perfect it's a more complete version of what I have. Mine is a 91 318is with a s52 and vortech v1. I went to a 292 rear end but now I wish i had my 373 still. Would love to see a full parts list for this car great video too!

1. The stock block is based on the m50 block and that one can take more than 600, so this is’nt the "best" block for high FI power 2.Super charger is’nt big enough 3.More reliable power as mentioned before 4.Better power band, it was a track car not drag car.
That kid did amazing job with that car. Many people doing incredibly stupid things, such as completely removing carpets, door panels etc. interior parts. Completely ruins the great retro cars. For what! Are you gonna race in 24 Hour Lemans, so you need to shave 1 millisecond out of your total time, because of that 1000 Gram weight lose! Some keeps it completely stock and restore it and performance becomes boring. Some dumps V8 LS motor into a goddamn retro German car, which also do not make any sense.
However, this specific car has great balance about everything from look to performance. Only thing I would change in that car would be exterior color and some leather or carpet to cover that rear seat area.
10 Thousand USD (If you build it by yourself as he says) spent on that car is nothing compare to what you get in return. $5 Thousand to buy the car, $20 Thousand for tuning, mods, labour etc. $25 K in total. Great deal for what you get.

How do u build an engine like that and not tune it on dyno guessing how much hp has its total B.S plus u can’t get 200 whp out off that charger
They just purchased this car from a friend that did the full build and tracked it. That’s where the estimate of hp is coming from
Dude first off I'm guessing you don't know much but the s52 (swapped into this car) came stock with 240 crank hp, with the average 15% drive train loss it would be at 204whp, so with a supercharger there is a good chance it's at 400hp just maybe not 400whp. Now before you go around bashing cars saying they aren't even getting 200whp out of a stock engine because you civic makes 90 crank, I'd sit down and do research, thanks and bye.
Baby Gietsel I know that s52 is the worst m engine ever!! I said that supercharger can’t give u 200whp and I don’t have a civic like u probably I had more cars in my life that u can wish for.. My celica has 260 whp at 5 psi and soon will have 600 whp when my mr2 transmission arrives so relax baby

Built supercharged S52 & still has an ABS light on the dash 😪 it’s seriously one wire to get the ABS working on a 24v swap E30. Even if the ABS was pulled, at least remove the bulb from the cluster.
