I love my electric blue 2018 Deluxe. Chased me from Florida to Tn to Indiana to Tn. Finally bought it. No regrets. Great change to the frame. Way better lean angle and can stretch my legs without highway bars. I did install the cruise for my 2k mike trip to Texas and back. No Regrets brother.
I needed to see this video, I just bought one a few weeks ago, sight unseen in a dealership, just the website. It was ordered, two weeks later and arrived at Bruce Rossmeyer's HD, Daytona, FL. I had the highway (rounds) bars added, reach solo seat because I am a 5'3" woman, and the seat made a world of a difference for me, chrome oil cooler cover, chrome front and rear axle nut cover's, chrome front fender trim piece, the heel shifter, chrome flame gear shift linkage, and yea, a windshield just in case. I saw it naked when it arrived, and it looked really nice, a few add on's sweetened it. Tomorrow, I will install a motherwell's chrome rear fender luggage rack, and a chrome paperclip tall sissy bar. After I ride it around a bit, I will decide if the clutch and brake lever's need to be changed up to adjustable's. You're reaction to the ride is exactly what I anticipate to experience tomorrow! Oh, I have been wanting a Deluxe ever since forever. :)

Ive had my 2019 Deluxe for 2 months now and its very bit as @Surpluzz describes. I get a huge grin every time I take mine out of the garage.

I have a 2018 deluxe and I love it no it's not a Road king I from ALB NM to sturgist. And I saw a lot of top of the line Turing bike broke down and me and my deluxe made it both ways with no problem to bad there discontinuing the delux
I just bought this same bike. Surpluzz your review replicates the exact feeling that I get each time I go for a ride on it. It is getting down to 30 degrees now in Jersey and people can’t believe I am still riding my Deluxe to work. Ride safe.

I bought the last 2020 white deluxe (or so I think/like to think) in October. My oh my....I love her. Different pipes (Bassani) and seats (touring) though. I kept the bars the same and added a sissy bar and pillion, and black saddle bags. I'm done,...nothing left to add/change. Simply beautiful.
It is sad that the Deluxe has been discontinued by the
Motor Company for '21 along with Breakout & the FDRX.
I live love the Deluxe. Not much I’d do it but the classic look.

Not a fan of white (or the 'denim' colors) on the Harleys. I like the Billiard Blue, Billiard Red is not bad either.
Great Video.I agree you should not do much too them,but engine guards are a must,as they make the bike look a bit wider.I do not think they have a USB port ,but I could be wrong.If thats the case I think they have missed a trick there.But a great bike.

got a 2014 CVO Deluxe Cobalt Blue White Pearl and Gold leaf accent, chrome everything on top a those white walls, plus electronic cruise control. It really is all personal preference. Wife riding two up I leave the hard smooth leather bags, sissy bar, rear seat and windshield in place. If it is just me, I usually strip her down to the no shield no bags single seat look. Takes less then five minutes. I do still however grin every time I throw my leg over her. Cause to me, I'm riding the best looking motorcycle I have ever seen, ever! But I'm really the only opinion that matters, when it come to my motorcycle.

Love my 2019 Deluxe, I traded in my 2013 SportsterXL883 Superlow with Vance and Hines exhaust back in late August. I will admit I also loved my Sportster and was saddened to give her up but definately enjoy my new baby. I got her in Midnight Blue and Barracuda Silver, added Saddlebags and took her on a week long trip the following week after purchase. Added some Screamin Eagle slip on sleeves for a bit more sound. This winter, since I live near Toronto Ontario, I took the handle bar in to get chromed, switched out bolts for chrome bolts, added luggage rack, heel shifter, lowered her and added heated hand grips with a bit more chrome for added detail, and will add a few more little details to personalize her. I can not wait for the winter to be gone to ride her.... The heated grips will come in handy for the start of the season. I am a petite women of 5'1 and riding her is a pure pleasure. She handles amazingly, not top heavy as my Sportster was... going the distance on her is far more comfortable as well.

Lucky i got my 2020 Deluxe in Billiard red and Vivid black when i did now that Harley are discontinuing the Deluxe line.
If I had to guess I'd say you like it. I rode the highway for about 40 yrs give or take without a shield. Never again. Call me a wimp iffin you want, but at the end of a 400 mile ride I can smile and not have bugs in what few teeth I got left. Not that I smile or anything, just sayin. When it's all said and done, it don't matter what you ride, as long as your ridin. I just ordered a raked triple tree for the new oldwing trike. Whoever put the trike kit on didn't put a raked tree on it. I might know why. Only one place in the country I can find that makes a raked tree for an oldwing, and it ain't cheap.
When gettin there is more fun than bein there, you know you didn't get there in a cage. Pull down the shades. Looks like rain. Good timing, bike needs a bath, me to, maybe. I can't stop now, this road is still goin somewhere, so am I.
If I were to buy a new HD...It'd be the Deluxe (but probably in the bright blue color)

I feel in love with the Deluxe as is for the most part. I bought an 18 last Christmas in electric blue. As soon as I saw that color I knew I had to have one. When I found used for sale I couldn’t turn her down. Slip on’s, passenger pegs and engine guard only changes. I hate the apes and fish tail look. Sorry.

I have been a deluxe fan for years!!! I ride a dyna now but when I pay it off...... I think the only thing the deluxe needs is cruise control like you said, but I would add fishtails!

I thought it was 2018 they changed the rear tail light. N the turn signals.
The only Harley that still looks old world and original , they should put back the original old world bits and pieces with the 1940's look like the tail light blinkers , grab handle at the back of the seat , just leave it alone the way it was and it will sell forever .

just wanted to share some info with you considering that you fondly appreciate the Harley soft tail deluxe , i recently was informed that this is the last year for the Deluxe no more will be produced after 2020.

Hi if you had a choice of buying a brand new 2017 full options at $16000 over a 2020 Deluxe would you consider doing so for the gain of the options and the look (cruise control passenger seat) , or would you solely base your decision off of the ride comfort and advance motor of the 2020 with the 107 .
Search for Matt Laidlaws comparison between the 2017 and 2018 deluxe. Both bikes are show stoppers. Here’s the bottomline: if you don’t turnaround and look at your bike when you are walking away then you purchased the wrong bike. It wont be long before all the tech on the new softail deluxe becomes obsolete, so don’t be too critical on the 2017s (the two-tone teal and white rocks). I have an electric blue 2018 deluxe and it is every bit the machine described in this video. I’ve had people ask for pictures when its parked. When stopped at crosswalks people give me the double thumbs up. Even had an older gentleman Germany walk up, admiring the bike. I’ve added stage 2, 7” risers, engine guard with hwy pegs, cruise control, corbin seat with backrest.

Why doesn’t the Deluxe have it written in view from the driver seat. Fatboy, Roadking has on the bars or on the tank.
Late in 2017 a Deluxe in Electric Blue purred across the top of my monitor. Stuck in my radar until Spring of 2018 whence I pulled the trigger. I mostly ride highway miles, so cruise control along with bags and a windshield were a priority. I know I could have bought a Heritage 114 for that kind of money, but that Electric Blue and the fat whiteys are just timeless. My only big trip in 2018 was 1400 miles in two days up to and across Mackinaw Bridge in upper Michigan. Left her stock until Spring of 2019 and I just had to unleash the beast within. Stage II with the only HD part being the air cleaner. I've put another 6000 miles on her since then and plan to keep her a while. A timeless classic...

There might be better motovloggers then you, B, but nobody has more fun test riding bikes then you ;-) And, yes, the Deluxe is good to go - straight out of the box. The only thing I would change would be those new horizontal turns lights. They just clash with the classic look of the Deluxe (IMO).
Also, that was your daughter? It seemed only like last week you were taking her out for soda pop and she was barely able to reach the footpegs.

BTW: H-D sells a Softail cruise control kit for $250 (plus whatever the dealership charges to turn it on).

Turn signals look 'art-deco' retro to me, and all the lights are LED
I dont see the beauty in this bike, so it its just an over priced bare bones base Heritage model that basically costs the same and with less. I see why Harley is losing sales. I think this guy needs to get a room and be lone with the bike lol. I honestly do not see any beauty in this bike. Street Glide Special in scorched orange yes, but this bike looks like a basic bike, basically nothing
