I ride a '16, and the most common comment I get besides it's good looks is, "That's what a motorcycle should look like". I've enjoyed every one of the 38K miles on it.
It might not be a “touring” bike, but I rode my mostly stock 2012 FLSTN from Florida to Oregon and back with no problems. Most comfortable scooter I’ve ever owned! 😍
I just bought a 07 Deluxe from the original owner and he only had 1800 miles on it! It’s the cream and burgundy two tone. I got it at a super great price! It rides better than my 2017 Street Glide Special! I love it!
An enjoyable video, Ol' Man!! Hoping all is well in Newark, OH! ... Been a year since I picked up my '07 Deluxe here in AZ ($6,300). She had 47K miles on her, but these babies go far beyond 150K, and she still looked pristine. Following some detailing and a quick trip to the mechanic (stator plug leak & tune-up), I immediately removed the molded HD bags to fully expose those gorgeous whitewalls. I kept the quick-release windshield and added chrome fork-mounted wind deflectors (👍), Avon chrome/black grips, larger chrome grab rail, and custom rear fender bib. But the masterpiece was changing out its tank emblems to Harley's vintage 1961-62 "crosshair" badges-- more befitting of a classic motorcycle that screams "Old School". In 11 months I've logged almost 5K miles, and I'm so in love with it! I'm now looking to see if my friend's V&H Longshots on his Fat Boy's 88-c.i. engine will fit on my '07's 96 c.i., as he wants to now upgrade to the short-shots. BTW, thanks for the reference to the '99 Softail Springer crash bars. I may be looking into that! ✌
My Hubs just bought my first dream Harley and she is a beautiful 05 Softail Deluxe (blue/white). I love the styling of it...so retro. This is my upgrade... I ride a 2000 Suzuki Intruder VS800.💜
I have a 2018 with stage I & II put some pipes on that sound as you described, I love everything that you indicated. I went with the Torqued Cam and WOW, i need to be strapped to the bars up till i hit 4th gear cause if you think stock was good torque, this is unbelievable. I also upgraded to a high output oil pump and cam plate as you probably know the stock 17-17 on the FLDE were inadequate and Harley knew it. Anyway im ready now just gonna vent my trans case to prevent blow by and im set, This is the best bike I believe i could have bought.
They are selling a 07 deluxe police special and I am an amputee put got a prosthetic leg and been riding for 25 years I have a sportster right now to get back into the feeling of it but I think I’ll get that deluxe after watching this video. Thanks keep up the good work !!!!
Greetings from Croatia from fellow rider of '12 FLSTN in white and red color scheme. A have mounted W&H true duals with fishtail end caps, the sound and the looks for me are amazing. Also I have instaled LED Daybreaker main reflector with LED passing lights. For touring I have Saddleman tunnel bag,I don't like the looks of saddlebags since I ride it solo and with free rear fender most of the time... Drive safe!
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel. Bike sounds amazing. email a pic with you and the bike to the address in the description and I'll feature you on the channel in a subscriber shout out Cheers and thank you for subscribing
I bought an FLSTN new in 2016 and I agree with you on this model as being excellent for any job. Harley quick detach windshield, a sundowner seat with backrest, Viking hard bags and Vance and Hines tuner/plpes/aircleaner system. Woods 222 cam and a dyno tune put everything in good order. 98 rear wheel horse power and 112 foot pounds of torque out my 103 HO
ridin’ a 2005 all stock Deluxe, and yeah it sounds as good if not better than most M8’s out there, love riding ol’ girl and all the thumbs up and smiles I get
Anytime, man. Looking forward to the next vid. Just as a heads up, I have a friend who's just getting a vlog started. If you get free time, maybe check him out. I'll find a link. Navy vet, he's a cool dude. Thanks in advance.
Love the Deluxe. I bought the 18 in electric blue. I don’t like the cholo look or the high apes. I like it just the way it is. Now I did put a new muffler on her. Engine guard, passenger pegs and back seat. Just my opinion.
Sold my 05' deluxe, lot of custom work done by me and the dealer. Just got too old to ride anymore. It was a 88B model Screamin' Eagle. The young woman who came out and looked at it was in love with it, so it went to her. Had other guy's who wanted it but she had the right mind set for me to believe it was going to a good home.
I purchased mine a year ago mine is a 2009I have a deluxe softail love it so much more than my Suzuki boulevard I had will probably get a CVO in future or trike so glad I learned to ride motorcycles.
You are absolutely correct, old school is my kind of bike, it's sad that Harley is going to stop making them, but I have a Dyna now they're gone. Started riding in 1980 have been riding ever since my first bike was a Sportster loved it. Now I am going to buy a Road King and make it look old-school cool you know what I am talking about. I need a touring frame to ride comfortably, my wife said to me buy a new bike your retiring, and the Dyna is history. lol, I will be looking for a 2021 or 2022 Black King! I enjoyed the video take care.
I have an 05 carb Deluxe with 18k miles, a Stage 1, and all else is stock. Love the rear fender rails going to the end of the fender...where can I find those? Nice Videos, keep them coming!
Myriam favorite as well... the best looking bike on HD line-up... can't understand why they discontinued it... I'm behind 3 of them... a 2020 black brand new, last one left at the dealer, a 2012 red one or a 2006, 2 tone black and white with natural color leather seats.... opinions? Both used ones are regularly maintained at dealer with low mileage... les than 30 K... hear opinions
Yes I have to agree with you.i have 2018 soft tail deluxe.has Milwaukee aight.and I got my deluxe cus the old school look as well and I do get a lot of comments from people
Please respond. I have a 2010 deluxe. I’m looking for rear crash bars but all the ones I see say “won’t fit on models with duel exhaust on one side” yet I see you have them and duel exhaust on one side. Please tell me what rear crash bars are on there ?? Thank you for your time
*Hi bro. I come from Germany and stumbled across your great video here. Why ? I'll get it on Tuesday September 26th. my 2018 Softail Deluxe delivered. I'm excited as hell because I couldn't see them live or drive them because the distance was too far for me. I'm currently driving a converted Forty Eight Spezial built in 2020 that the dealer took in as payment. I'm really looking forward to it, although it will make a big difference. All the best and ride safe.*
I’ve had my eye on a ‘12 Softail Deluxe for a while now but wondering if it has enough legroom for me to ride comfortably because I’m 6’3”. Any advice?
Everybody has an opinion, but the truth of the matter EVERYONE drops their first bike and unfortunately numerous times. I would suggest lighter and cheaper bike as a first bike. TBH
I have an 07 soft tail deluxe with the Vance & Hines long shots love the sound love the bike.
Still riding it at 79 yrs old

Nice looking bike. I always liked the “Switch back”
I did too minus the Saddlebag rattle.

Ol Man. I love the Deluxe also and the country ride you did. Where are you located bro?
East Central Ohio East of Cbus

I got a 2014 ,love my bike will keep her until I pass
Hey man great looking bike! Just wondering exactly in this video, what size bars are on the bike?
They are 12 in mini apes
Hollywood Bars
That top bar will tie in your fender hoops
My favorite Harley, it’s a shame they discontinued it
Well.. considering pre’ M8, you are riding on 1944 technology. I agree, the deluxe looks are quite appropriate 🤪

I have a 2015 Deluxe and want just a little more height.
Thanks!
They are Harley 12 inch
beach bars look cooooool, but leave you swingin in the wind.
i have knuckles on the road king, and love them. The minis on the Deluxe now are meh. still undecided
Just purchased a '12 Softail Deluxe. Watching your vid I thought it looked like Ohio, the basket confirmed it!
Lovely bike. I have 2008 softail deluxe running v&h long shots and would like to know what make the rear crash/saddlebag bars are please.
They are Harley Davidson from a 1999 Springer Softail. I refitted them to mine Deluxe. Thank you so much for asking and hopefully subscribing Cheers

Why are you changing the mini-apes? I am putting the same handlebar set-up on my 18 Deluxe now.
I don't like the 3 inch risers, with the 12 inch minis. Looks goofy to me. rather have 16 to 18 inch apes or Beach bars
Love it
