Yeah make a few backup saves. But you can make sure you get the early ending by failing at the Carlos bomb bit. Which ensures you get more than you need. Then you can continue afterwards. @@magg0t4
Oh yeah, even the one they redid for the Xbox one. Most annoying thing with that is it kept crashing so I didn't even bother with the 7 day survivor. This game is super easy to do now with the speed up. Multiple saves and auto saves lol
@@dbank6107nah the original game wasn't that difficult, there's a difference between difficulty and just making you wait around for the sake of it lol. When I was younger I didn't mind trying the 14 hour achievement but in hindsight it's really stupid. Also considering a lot of the time In the original dead rising was waiting around it's better with the speed up mechanic. You don't need to use it if you don't want to.
@@Solestro No! Fighting the tank at the end in the original was way tougher and took a lot longer then this remaster. Also try and get to level 50 in one playthrough in the original! I dont think so.

Fantastic guide. Only have a couple minor things: 1. You do NOT have to activate/do Last Resort. If you purposely miss it, the bombs will NOT go off. So if you just fail at Last Resort, Brad never leaves the Safe Room, and the game proceeds with ending B so long as you make it to the helicopter in time. This is important because by keeping Brad in the safe room, it puts you at 53 survivors, so if players screw up during the run and get a survivor killed, they have an extra survivor leniency. 2. Don't forget about needing to avert Kindell's mutiny, which you should get the call for sometime around 12 while you're fighting Kent. Otherwise thank you so much for putting this in a concise video!
Accurate… However he did actually mention early on in the tutorial that you have to do all the mutiny quests to avoid failing. So I’d say he already covered number 2.
Yes! This is a better way to finish this run. Just make sure you have at least 47 survivors so far, you'll get an extra 3 with Brad, Jessica and Isabela. Save your game at the hideout, advance time to expire Last Resort, advance time again to reach the helipad. It should unlock it, on Casual difficulty as well.
This guy is the true "Tour Guide" trophy. I'm halfway through right after escorting the girls from the Cop fight and the girl in the cult box back in the safehouse. Tomorrow I'll probably finish it. I'll update once I finish the fight.

This guide was great, really bang on! for anyone wondering I killed 1 survivor somehow think her name was Kay from the fat police officer, anyways you can afford for 2 to die with this method thankfully.

I got so annoyed at myself, I was relying too heavily on auto save so hadn’t manually saved for a while, at the point I messed up I was like level 25 and last manual save I was 16. But I didn’t know the girls in paradise in the toy shop had spawned and didn’t see or hear them and I beelined for entrance plaza, Pamela died as soon as the screen transitioned and the game auto saved Wasn’t gonna reload hours of progress, worst part was, I got every other survivor no problem, I would have got saint first try with no guide after never getting all survivors on any dead rising before. Oh well, will be getting megabuster and returning, will be using your video as a guide just so I don’t mess anything up this time
Awww dude that sucks. I had that happen in my first playthrough, had all my knowledge from the original game but still missed some people. Just make sure to make loads of manual saves like I did. Trust me it's a life saver!

I ended with about 35 saved and I couldn’t believe I was so short! 🤣 There’s so many cheeky wee buggers hidden around the place! And I like guides like yours; sharp, concise and to the point. I remember doing this achievement in the OG version. I think I completed all the story missions and got all the survivors but the achievement didn’t pop yet. I completed overtime and then the achievement popped for me. It’s been 5 years since I got it so that’s all I remember
The convicts are so much easier if you kill Cletus first, you can grab a bunch of guns and then fight carlito, he also drops a book that makes guns do more damage, the convicts take like 4-5 shots for each (If you hit your spreads well)

Nope the survivors need to be done together for the saint trophy. The overall ones in the notebook is what's for the other trophies. That one carries over for filling all the entries. But survivors need to be done all in one go.
Doesn't always need to be. But for the sake of safety and not having to run through the entire game again. Just make sure you save before hand. Fail the mission after bomb collection. Then you'll get the trophy/achievement. Then reload the save if you want to continue.

Have the Mega Man weapon and Chain Saw. With the skateboard and the magazine to improve more health for the skateboard and gun magazine increasing damage, you'll complete this with no issues.
This game basically fucked me three times in a row because when I try to go back to the main mission to get freezing and then when I went back to the security room nothing would happen no matter how many times I fast forwarded it so might as well call the quits I'm trying to get this book
@@Solestro yeah it looks like I'm probably not get that book unless they make it where you can buy it down the road already beating the game many times and it would just screw up our mission wouldn't play or we just glitch and I was like finally like I'm not going to keep doing this over and over again just to have something mess up
@@shamani8393 no 72 hour mode is just the normal mode. If you die you can restart from a previous save. You can start a new game but wouldn't recommend it if you are going for survivors etc.
Quick question, does this all have to be done in ONE playthrough of 72 hour mode? I’m at level 50 now and fully maxed out and have the real mega buster which makes the psychopath fights even easier, just curious! Just started a new game with my maxed out data and I’m saving as many people as I can, I missed the guy behind the boxes!

That must be a bug cause if you are following it exactly as I'm doing it you will have all the survivors there when you reach it. Had a couple people with that issue. Are you going to wonderland as soon as you get the quest?

This will work if you end it just before Carlitos bomb quest or just after you stop the bombs and then let the thing fail and wait for the chopper. Just make sure to make a couple saves. But doing that will get you it 😊
Are you allowed to have one survivor die, because I’m my play through I’m about to finish, I’ve saved everyone except for Pamela because she just died. Am I allowed for one to die
@@theguywhoknocks6359 if one survivor dies you should be fine. As frank, Isabella count as survivors at the end of the playthrough. Also Jessie and brad do too but only if you cut your playthrough short before brad dies in the tunnel. So before the bomb mission is triggered.
@@sapnu_puas1969 yeah I had that too. If you ever go back to the safe room with one of those quests. Don't leave, and make sure you find the person inside it relates to.

I have no idea where I went wrong because when I’m on day 21 a lot of my survivors went down as lost but I followed this guide to what I thought was the right way?
My run bugged out at the end and a mutiny happened instantly when triggering the finding Carlito quest it didn’t even give me a chance to help out it just took 10 Survivors away from me. And stupid me was overwriting saves the whole time
I did it and finished with 52 people and got the trophy and when I started a new game it's not checked off and started me back at play through 3 when my new game should have been4. Is it something with the saving? Am i supposed to overwrite my previous file to get it so say play through 4?
Ok im curious i just spent all day getting all the survivors and a different guide said i have to get the true ending for the achievement. Im currently on the overtime mode and havent recieved the achievement yet. Am i screwed and have to start over?

Nope you need to continue doing the story or quests won't continue to spawn. That's why I say in the video make sure you are back in the safe room etc. but you can stop it just after the Carlos bombs if you want the trophy/achievement. But it's always best to make saves cause you can do the true ending too.

Most survivors you can get is 53 if you let "The Last Resort" fail as Brad stays in the safe room no need for bomb collector.

There's a magazine at one of the food courts next to doors leading to the convicts that boosts survivor durability.
That would've been a helpful tip.

I think it says overall saved survivors on the pause screen. Does this mean that we could do 30 one playthrough and then 20 on a second run?
Nope the survivors need to be done together for the saint trophy. The overall ones in the notebook is what's for the other trophies. That one carries over for filling all the entries. But survivors need to be done all in one go.

Question:so is main case need failed?( after bomb collection -case8-1 finish?
Doesn't always need to be. But for the sake of safety and not having to run through the entire game again. Just make sure you save before hand. Fail the mission after bomb collection. Then you'll get the trophy/achievement. Then reload the save if you want to continue.

21:00 I was able to come back after saving those two survivors and just speed up time and take the helicopter without completing the rest of the game.

Have the Mega Man weapon and Chain Saw. With the skateboard and the magazine to improve more health for the skateboard and gun magazine increasing damage, you'll complete this with no issues.
This game basically fucked me three times in a row because when I try to go back to the main mission to get freezing and then when I went back to the security room nothing would happen no matter how many times I fast forwarded it so might as well call the quits I'm trying to get this book
Your game kept freezing? I only had that happen once and it was after I had the game running ages killing 53k zombies. Sorry to hear that dude
@@Solestro yeah it looks like I'm probably not get that book unless they make it where you can buy it down the road already beating the game many times and it would just screw up our mission wouldn't play or we just glitch and I was like finally like I'm not going to keep doing this over and over again just to have something mess up

Have the Mega Man weapon. Usually, one shot each convict in the vehicle.

Doing this run now, just send your survivors to a corner and lead the convicts away from them. The zombies should bother them too much while you deal.

If the quest on the side are Turing red does that mean u won’t be able to go and find the survivors anymore?
If it's red it's fine as long as you make it back to the safe room. Cause if that fails you don't get anymore calls.

@@shamani8393 no 72 hour mode is just the normal mode. If you die you can restart from a previous save. You can start a new game but wouldn't recommend it if you are going for survivors etc.

Quick question, does this all have to be done in ONE playthrough of 72 hour mode? I’m at level 50 now and fully maxed out and have the real mega buster which makes the psychopath fights even easier, just curious! Just started a new game with my maxed out data and I’m saving as many people as I can, I missed the guy behind the boxes!
You can miss 1 person. It depends where you end it, if you end it before Carlos plants bombs or just after you save the bombs will be fine too. 😁
Might do this on the new casual difficulty for ease with this video.

Hey I was following the same way like you ask mm on your video. But I made it to above the law and for some reason there's only one Survivor? Is there a reason?
That must be a bug cause if you are following it exactly as I'm doing it you will have all the survivors there when you reach it. Had a couple people with that issue. Are you going to wonderland as soon as you get the quest?
Do I have to kill the psycho in the gun shop before rescuing the 3 survivors you show the vent door to???
No he disappears after a while. But if you want to make sure you can.

@@xXhughesXx nah it's better if you get one of the lower endings because you can rescue brad and Jessie too. If you end just before Carlitos bombs :)

Is this guide for exactly 50 or 50+? I missed one during the Cop quest
This will work if you end it just before Carlitos bomb quest or just after you stop the bombs and then let the thing fail and wait for the chopper. Just make sure to make a couple saves. But doing that will get you it 😊
Are you allowed to have one survivor die, because I’m my play through I’m about to finish, I’ve saved everyone except for Pamela because she just died. Am I allowed for one to die
@@theguywhoknocks6359 if one survivor dies you should be fine. As frank, Isabella count as survivors at the end of the playthrough. Also Jessie and brad do too but only if you cut your playthrough short before brad dies in the tunnel. So before the bomb mission is triggered.

There's a book you can pick up from north plaza camera shop makes photos easier. But you don't need it, I just couldn't be arsed with Kent lol.

@@sapnu_puas1969 yeah I had that too. If you ever go back to the safe room with one of those quests. Don't leave, and make sure you find the person inside it relates to.

Nope you just have to do it and then go back to them. When they ask for it.
I have no idea where I went wrong because when I’m on day 21 a lot of my survivors went down as lost but I followed this guide to what I thought was the right way?

I wouldn't risk it. It's easy to get that in a separate playthrough.
My run bugged out at the end and a mutiny happened instantly when triggering the finding Carlito quest it didn’t even give me a chance to help out it just took 10 Survivors away from me. And stupid me was overwriting saves the whole time

I did it and finished with 52 people and got the trophy and when I started a new game it's not checked off and started me back at play through 3 when my new game should have been4. Is it something with the saving? Am i supposed to overwrite my previous file to get it so say play through 4?
@@umarpin8809 yeah you are supposed to continue the same save file. That's how it knows you've got everything there.
the mega buster come from getting Zombie Annihilator (zombie genocider) achievement / trophy lad

Ok im curious i just spent all day getting all the survivors and a different guide said i have to get the true ending for the achievement. Im currently on the overtime mode and havent recieved the achievement yet. Am i screwed and have to start over?
Finish overtime mode, you will get it.
If you have 49 survivors safe on overtime you will get it. Isabella also counts as one.
@@arwoodian1524 yeah sorry I think I mentioned that in the video. But if you have collected EVERYONE and you finish the true ending I'm sure you get it.

Nope you need to continue doing the story or quests won't continue to spawn. That's why I say in the video make sure you are back in the safe room etc. but you can stop it just after the Carlos bombs if you want the trophy/achievement. But it's always best to make saves cause you can do the true ending too.
