A lot of times if you're really strong you've got to figure some of this stuff out for yourself. Not a whole lot of people are going to tell you in practice you shouldn't let people tire you out; they just say you should increase your conditioning. Which is all well and good, but it's still hard when you're the one likely to tire first no matter what. Weight classes matter a fair bit, too. Wrestling in the "unlimited" weight class meant I had to try to tire out the big monsters first; cutting weight to get into the next weight class down meant I was the big monster who had to watch out to not get tired. I suspect it's the same for other combat sports.

This series is so good. Especially this video touches on wider topics about strenght and effective use of it. I see that many strong punchers in boxing gain the control quite early in most bouts - their opponents stop committing and start walking away while trying to find safe opportunities with their jab. I find this dynamic interesting - I assume it's just the threat of counter punch dictating what exchanges play out, but it's so weird to see someone walking flatfooted, with guard up, mostly making minimal faints, and yet always receive so much respect. It’s the pacing of the volume of punches they have good pacing in their short flurries of punches and of the fight goes the distance or they hurt the opponent than they use more of their preserved energy to try and get the finish

Im only 5ft 2 and 50 kilos but I find a good kick to the balls always helps me fight against big strong men
3 years late :D. I don't fight but I like sparring, how does being extra strong help with sparring? I don't want to lay my sparring partner out, but it seems like there's no real benefit to being strong if you spend most of your time sparring.
I was watching one of Gabriel’s older fights and his opponent said that Gabriel has more of a Muay Thai style similar to himself. Is this true? I thought he uses more of a kickboxing style. If anyone can clarify this that would be great.
ok so far to balance my power I follow some of your shoulder exercises so you don't get tired and a few others. does that mean it will reduce my power due to the process of increasing endurance? because for a long time I always focus on speed and it works but still I get tired the fastest compared to my friends whose power is below me.
because I want to have insane speed and endurance power. Even though some say it's impossible
this video basicaly describes Franics in his second fight against stipe
This dudes cool as fuck man
Sparring? 3:32
im very large 6'6 408 mostly fat, im stronger than most other 15 yr olds but none are my size so i have bothing to compare to, how do i know if im the strong type
good video
What about those that are explosive and have good cardio? Not necessarily "extra strong" but they can keep a good pace and then explode?
Or, someone said it in the comments" the average physique? I'm 5'7 and fight at 135lb MMA so that's pretty average. What's your take on that? Thanks and congrats on 50k!!
You said to tire out the powerful fighter but as the more powerful fighter, how do you keep it later on in fights? Obviously how you fight would be important but any other tips as well? It seems like Ggg keeps his power yet still throws quite a bit, same with buakaw and his kicks, is it just training power for time or something else? Thanks
It’s the pacing of the volume of punches they have good pacing in their short flurries of punches and of the fight goes the distance or they hurt the opponent than they use more of their preserved energy to try and get the finish
canelo should've been in thumbnail. He literally exploding opponents biceps or cracking skulls with his punches.
he's also testing positive for steroids. I'm not saying he wasnt strong before but... he fought featherweights and wasnt knocking them all out.. Now he's scoring kos at 168? yeah. that is objectively not natural
can you please do a video on mirko cro cop
Right but question. Marciano right? Strong strong dude. High Volume. Big success. So if I’m stronger and I up up my cardio, I’m good to go no?
I think Marciano was just a genetic abnormality because nobody has really been able to replicate that combination of power and endurance. If you want to do it though, more power to you because if you can stick with his level of training you'll be a monster.
@@cattlecumwewlad6941 well his power was the genetic bit. But most of it was his training. He was like the boxing version of Goggins. Crazy driven. I don’t know a better role model for anybody fighter or not
marciano is a freak no one has come closet his level except artur betterbiev but artur starts slower in purpose to test his opponents
Ok and what to do if i fight someone aggressive who keeps coming forward?
Clinch
