high volume, speed, head movement, set ups, intention, accuracy (to weak spots), pace control (e.g different pace at different times (e.g rd 1 or 2)), footwork/movement. Most important - take the fight where you're strongest

Thanks so much for this advice/ the examples. I'm a golden gloves champ and I'm still constantly fighting against instincts to fight on the inside and less effectively than I could by boxing more technically with footwork on the outside.

I love these segments. Nobody else emphasizes enough how your body dictates your style.
Be realistic what do you have what do you not have . Me I have power reach and speed in abundance.
But I have poor balance, poor flexibility and low stamina.
My style is driven by those strengths and weaknesses. I can't be a volume pressure fighter . I wouldn't make one round. I can't be kicking to the head I don't have the balance and flexibility.
No I have to plod and turn my crazy speed on for just a second and go back to plodding. I cant rush I must stay calm. I only need one straight right or lead hook and there broken. So I must go about landing that as safely as possible without being kicked to bits . If they get in close I don't exchange I clinch and chuck them on the ground with my power.
You must fight to your body type.

I suggested short and lean before, but I should note that in a competitive environment with weight classes it is hardly possible to be short and lean. If you are, you are actually in the lighter class, where you are either taller or bigger than most of your opponents.
So "short and lean" is only possible in a street fight situation. In that case, that is just a disadvantage that can hardly be fixed. however, no martial art can fix real street fights, that usually involve more opponents, possibly knives and guns, and aggression. The exceptions are the kind of "civilized fights" that you can have by arguing with someone in a club in a developed country or with an occasional chad in a parking lot. In those cases, martial arts and being big and strong help a little. However, 6 months of any serious combat sport is enough. And in both cases, you can just avoid problems most of the times. (moreover, spending hours to train for a chad in a parking lot you will probably never meet is paranoia.)
Note also that there are countries where you would have serious legal problems afterwards, or where this treat is basically unreal (if you live in Japan, that will never happen). and there are countries where this would escalate quickly involving more people and/or guns (engage a fight in a club in Mexico or in a slavic country, rather than Japan).
One might want to sound tough by being ready to club fights, but it is just act that you can play because you are in quite safe club in a civilized country, where no one shots you half an hour later.
The conclusion is that for real life situations, very basic knowledge is enough, for the little difference it can make. real situations are either too dangerous to make martial arts relevant or so unlikely and exceptional that make more than 6 months of training pointless.
So, should not one train more than 6 months/2 years? No. but we should stop be obsessed with street fights. We train for our primordial need to feel strong. but the real fights we have in mind are ideal fights that are extremely unlikely, not real situations fights. so be happy with sports. otherwise enter a cartel and experience real life aggressions, and see how martial arts, being stronger or whatever helps.
