I'm the same age as Taylor Hanson (the lead singer) and, believe it or not, I actually remember seeing this for the first time in 1997 and going into the kitchen to tell my mom that I had just seen a bunch of kids my own age on TV who could sing, lol.
Hahaha im like the youngest brothers age but have older brother his age. And a younger bro there's 3 of us boys to lol Hanson took the world by storm.. here in Australia they were everywhere! Nothing beats the 80s and 90s days.
Fun fact : for a lot of guys now in their 30s, the first "girl" they ever had a crush on was Taylor Hansen. The poor dears were dismayed to learn that their beautiful milkmaid was actually a dude. 😄😉😊
Their sound is very eclectic, they can be rock, pop, soul/r&b, even a little country. I would recommend This Time Around, Penny and Me, Lost Without Each Other, Great Divide, Been There Before. You Can't Stop Us, I was Born, Don't Ever Chage, Against the World, Rambling Heart, Write You a Song, Don't Let Me Down.
Willing a Hanson comeback into being!! These guys are an iconic American band and we're sleeping on them! They have made a ton of amazing music since this era.
If you ever check them out, even acoustically live, their harmonies are absolutely perfect. They wrote their own songs and played their instruments, so not your typical "boy band."
Some fave Hanson tracks: Where’s the Love, I Will Come to You, If Only, This Time Around, Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’, Penny and Me, and Lost Without Each Other
I have been waiting for your Hanson reaction! I am a huge Hanson fan. Please react to newer songs by them too. They still write, record and tour the world today.
Haha oh man, zach was my first crush! You should absolutely go down this rabbit hole. They have a great catalog and are STILL putting out great music! Seriously musically gifted family!
Haha every time I her this song I am reminded of high school back in the late 90s. My school was raising money for something, can't remember what now, and they did a campaign called Stop The Bop. They played this song over the PA system every morning before morning announcements until the financial goal was met. Many people hated the song so it didn't take too long, much to my disappointment lol. They are still around and haven't stopped touring and recording. You can actually find more recent performances of this song on youtube. I prefer it with their mature voices.
They were so cute as kids , as adults they look really nice still . Men in their 40’s now . This is so nostalgic. I’m in my mid 40’s and was 19 or so when this came out. It was catchy, but I didn’t realize the lyrical content was so introspective and kinda sad , juxtaposed with the up beat silliness, it’s actually an impressive peace of art . I always thought they were talented
Aww this brings back so many memories. I was a kiddo when "MMMBop" released and wasn't immune to the mania that followed as us elementary school girls developed yet another crush on yet another band lol. (My favourite was Taylor, the lead singing keyboardist) "MMMBop" is the lead single from Hanson's first studio album, Middle of Nowhere (1997); the song was nominated for two Grammys and is the band's most successful single to date. It also hit #1 in at least 12 countries.
I was waaay to old to be an actual fan back then, but I'm not too proud to say, I loved this song. It was very well written, catchy as hell, and they were already very talented musicians, but I have not heard much of their music other than this, so I would love to see and hear more of them along with you. ❤
Story time, lol - When I was at university (in the UK) I got student accommodation above a pub, half way through the year it closed down and got renovated into a lap dancing club. Anyways, I used to sit up in my room and this song used to be playing all the time, and it still makes me chuckle today imagining the ladies trying to look sexy while lap/pole dancing to MMMBop.
One more thing Pancake, the song is about SACRAFICE, the band explained in an interview that when they were young at the time of this song, that they had to make decisions, to hang out with friends or to play music, they sacraficed things that fade for hard work and properity over what seems to be freinds. MMMMBOP= things that fade with time, so hence the words to the song _______ when mmmbops gone,,,,, who well still be there . GG bro, take care
They actually have quite a few catchy songs and unlike most young boy bands , very talented. They are still touring, were in Australia last year I think. Never seen them live but apparently are great.
Mmmbop may have been the hit, but the follow up single 'wheres the love' was more THEM. It's pretyy reminiscent of where their sound headed into the future. 'This Time Around' is the peak Hanson single and personally, 'The Walk' is my fav song of theirs (the underneath acoustic live version)
They are by no means the best band ever, BUT one thing about them that is truer then air is that this song is probly the most catchy songs ever. Belive it!!!!
"Where's The Love" is a great pop gem also by them 💎. Loved your 4 song format but killjoys... UA-cam probably make that difficult to do. Still my one of my favourite reaction/review peeps though. 🙏😎🎶
Tbh, Zack has always been my favorite and has an amazing smile. While he's not my personal al type, I feel like Isaac had the biggest glow up from when they were younger.

Basically the same except I'm a few months older than Zack
Hahaha im like the youngest brothers age but have older brother his age. And a younger bro there's 3 of us boys to lol Hanson took the world by storm.. here in Australia they were everywhere! Nothing beats the 80s and 90s days.
I am also a middle aged person and sad about it!

I forgot Dancing In Tbe Wind and No Rest for the Weary.. Seriously though they have a huge catalog of songs.
All great songs! Hanson is so incredible!
Willing a Hanson comeback into being!! These guys are an iconic American band and we're sleeping on them! They have made a ton of amazing music since this era.
Yes you are exactly right and they have quite a few hits that gets overlooked if you didn't know them
They had a whole run on The Masked Singer and were fantastic. They were the first band to compete together.
Seriously?? How did I not know this??? That's amazing
@@amymbeauty8765 Look up Russian Dolls from Season 5
Their Vicks were impressive. I didn't know they were that talented vocally.
Yep still together recently MMBOP 2.0
If you ever check them out, even acoustically live, their harmonies are absolutely perfect. They wrote their own songs and played their instruments, so not your typical "boy band."
Exactly I just consider them a band play their own instruments right their own songs and produce they are amazing!
They represented what my generation did on a daily basis, skaterolling, etc.
Some fave Hanson tracks: Where’s the Love, I Will Come to You, If Only, This Time Around, Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’, Penny and Me, and Lost Without Each Other
You should listen to their acoustic version they did in 2016 as adults!
This was a classic 90s song, Think they have 14 children between them now x
15 children between them. Taylor has 7, Isaac has 3 and Zac has 5.
If you add their other 4 siblings, it's about 23 kids between them 💯❤
I have been waiting for your Hanson reaction! I am a huge Hanson fan. Please react to newer songs by them too. They still write, record and tour the world today.
Sorry for the wait, and thanks for watching! ❤️😊
They write great music, their vocals are fantastic and the fact they can play instruments is amazing too and at such a young age! ❤
Yeah it's an amazing performance from 3 boys so young ❤
This video is an absolute gem of late 90s fashion and culture
They all grown up now but still sound as good ❤❤

Ooh one of my favorite bands ❤️ they have soo many good songs. They still tour and make amazing music 😍
This is my happy song!! I can't not smile when this song is on!!
When they recorded the song the ranged in ages from 11 to 15
Makes it more impressive
He googled it

All these years later this song's still a bop. An MMMBop. 😆 (Sorry)
😂
Hanson are brothers. These brothers are all grown up happily married with children.

Love Hanson!! Deep song legendary ❤
It's not too late to skate. Enjoyed the reaction.
This was such a hit! Oh how young they were!!

They are amazing! I seen them in 2021 in Doswell Virginia and then in Nashville Tn 2022 and they sound absolutely amazing live! So talented
Such a great song takes me back to my Sunday morning cartoon days and playing the N64
This is such a fun video... you can track exactly what youre looking at on the music video! Also, your damn smile makes me smile :D
Thank you for watching! 😊
Tina Arena live in Melbourne. Ft. Anthony Calea. They are phenomenal!

Love this song but never understood a single word of it. There is a song of theirs (after they grew up) called Get the Girl Back. I love that one?
I did have to look up the lyrics to understand what they were singing
Good song
They recently release MBOP 2.0
They are by no means the best band ever, BUT one thing about them that is truer then air is that this song is probly the most catchy songs ever. Belive it!!!!
Hanson is the only band, that I can think of, that can give BSB a run for the money as far as flawlesa harmonies go.
"Where's The Love" is a great pop gem also by them 💎. Loved your 4 song format but killjoys... UA-cam probably make that difficult to do. Still my one of my favourite reaction/review peeps though. 🙏😎🎶
An actual " boy band" ✌️
Please do If Only by Hanson it was another big hit for them awesome song!!
Cute...
If you think jc is hot wait till you see taylor in other hanson videod ❤😊
I’m intrigued! 😂
Tbh, Zack has always been my favorite and has an amazing smile. While he's not my personal al type, I feel like Isaac had the biggest glow up from when they were younger.
They all grew up handsome, but Taylor definitely has that something that gives him a little extra, charisma maybe.
ua-cam.com/video/GzrD_16dxnA/v-deo.html This is another great Hanson song. The filmer definitely had her eyes on Taylor.
@@Michelle-DiPalo Bryson will love Taylor he's a married man with 7 kids Bryson just letting ya know lol
You should do weird, this time around and penny me… their best 3 songs to me! I will come to you is also pretty good
Know I'm gonna have this song stuck in my head. Ok know I'm gonna listen to some wham/George michael.
