Good good, nothing tempting me away from TRP yet 😊 Appreciate all the closeups and explanations! Seeing the side by sides are super helpful!

I really like this review of the Rhodia paper. I appreciate that you have very clear close-ups, and that you show exactly how the inks perform, and that you used various inks and pens. Fabulous!

You are definitely not alone in that! I think if I used it more I'd like it less, if that makes sense? I mostly just use it for notes at work, but that clay feeling I mentioned in the video is one that I haaate.

It bothers me that there is so little information out there on fountain pen friendly papers. I was searching on and off for months and haven’t gotten very far when it comes to finding out what and how Rhodia is sized to give it its smooth feel. Especially the Premium R paper. (90gsm)We may never know because it’s proprietary and more than likely a trade secret.
For anyone that’s interested and that doesn’t know Rhodia was bought by Clairefontaine back in the 90s. Clairefontaine makes both their paper and Rhodia paper. Even though they’re supposed to be “distinctly different,”they’re both made by Clairefontaine. I am still uncertain if Clairefontaine and Rhodia 90gsm.paper are the same. As in “identical.” Some people say no others say it’s unclear.
Rhodia paper: It comes down to whether it’s 80 GSM or 90 GSM Rhodia paper. The 80 GSM comes in bright white (classic paper) and the 90 GSM (premium) comes in cream and is smoother to me personally.
Companies are always changing and adding products so I’m not even sure if cream is always 90 GSM and bright white is only 80 GSM. I’m still looking for Info.
    Cheers

I completely agree, I wish there were more information on what papers contained.
Is it Clairefontaine Triomphe that is similar to the Rhodia R? I may have to pair those two papers together when I get to Clairefontaine Triomphe for that Paper Lab video.

@@PaintedSpaceship I’m always falling down rabbits holes looking for the answer to these perplexing questions! 😆
That head to head would be a great comparison! 👍👍👍
