Say what you want about Newark, but their fire department is legendary.
Only one aerial line deployed upwind of the fire. There should be another. Ground lines spraying into the wind are of little use.
I've fought some big fires, but not with the wind blowing a freaking hurricane! Git it boyyys! Good job, stay safe. Miss my engine, my guys, and fire family
Newark needs a Tower Ladder 😯
Out of control
Only rain in wind
Holy cow they sure get some crazy fires in that city
Wow
That's one helluva wind driven fire!
I’m not a firefighter but with me looking at the view would it make sense to use deck guns from the street and more Ariel latter’s versus hand lines that looks like less water on the fire.
That fire was a blast furnace inferno. Nice video you got pretty close to it.
Conflagration for sure. Kudos to the FD brothers for their efforts to tame that beast.
JeffStang Fire - excellent videography, A+++ work.
Hm, video stops right as a fireman is radioing some report to the Command ---- hello Jeff, batteries empty?
Burning like a torch! I wonder what is / was inside the building; the brightness of the fire seems to point to something really flammable! All the best!
Yeah, strong wind, big windows & an old building. All you need.
The rig placement looks like something from the movie Backdraft. Just put firetrucks all over the place. Make it look busy for the big screen. TL in front or a deck gun maybe? Urban renewal I suppose. Anyhow great video. Weather didnt kick your butt.
Nobody appointed you...some anonymous stroke on You Tube Comments to be the gate keeper and last word for best practices. You can't help yourself. Just stop. And stop being presumptuous.
@@RLTtizME ok
I always wonder as to why they have ladder trucks and pumpers with deck guns sitting around and not doing anything. Yes some of the pumpers are feeding hand lines, but why do you have guys running hand lines when you could have a deck gun in action. Once set up the deck gun can pretty much operate with one firemen.
Great video Jeff keep them coming stay safe bro...
That was fierce 😳 excellent video as always ✌
Wow Jeff, that’s massive. Holy Cow!
I often wonder why departments don’t utilize their deck guns on fires like this.
Deck Guns wouldn't do jack shit against a fire like this
that was a bad one Jeff you guys have had your hands full lately for sure. stay safe bro ..
Sad my prayers are with everyone and everyone who goes. Thought this
The water streams should be repositioned to side B exposure side.
Be safe
The wind made it impossible to fight the fire.
Everybody did a great job butwith the wind blowing hard made it hard to put fire out
Great video
"Fire Apocalypse" seems to be the norm in New Jersey. Thankfully they have such great firefighters!
"Be a firefighter they said. It'll be fun they said." This is a f*****g miserable night for all involved.
Personally, I believe that few if any men become a Firefighter to have "Fun." I know since I was a firefighter for a major Eastcoast Department for 30+ years before I retired on 01/05/1993. I believe that most men become a firefighter because they want to be a part of something that gives a mentally rewarding meaning to them personally, others weed themselves out and quit the job in a short period of time. If you became a firefighter for the fun you are expecting to have, then I would advise you to quit the department as soon as possible. Inasmuch, as the department does not need you and you do not need it, because what you are seeking you will not find as a firefighter.
Wow, Where have you been Jeff, Nice video.
That was a hard fire the wind was causing so many problems for the firefighters
Great footage
Wow
Why are they not using areial trucks and the duluge pipes on pumpers.
A fire is compounded X10 when you have 30, 40, 50 mph winds and gusts!
Why no deck gun?
🤡🤡👈👈You so deserved this.
Great job by FD and good catch. I only wish you would stop going left to right so often. Unless I missed the reason. Good job taking mother nature's wrath.
Tough conditions....fighting a Commercial fire in a Nor'easter.
Bloody surround and drown.. wind kicks up, get your butt down flat!
Why only 1 truck set up?
Toronto police video Suhail Singh real
Not me
Theres a typo in the description
High wind and low water; what a bummer. 🤥
New Jersey should have a airplane carry water , its help alot. Thats i been seen burned house in those areas..
Talk about impossible odds, these firefighters did the best they could do but it was obviously a losing battle. Too bad for those who resided there if it was a apartment building or offices which means everyone will now be out of work for some time.
Wow
