No the driver did not go on vacation at the start of the trial. That was Megan's bodyguard that was on vacation. He was supposed to testify to his police statement that Tory Lanez came to his house and confessed to the shooting. However, it was being reported that he was doing a bodyguarding job overseas . In which he did not show up until after his nudes were leaked online.

The only reason the blogs are reporting on it now is because it has now been accepted for REVIEW by the Appellate Court in a different circuit. It has already went through one level of circuit and it has now been submitted for review and accepted for review by the second circuit. No determination has been made
