Does it exist on win7 an extended kernel like in windows vista, that lets you use some application you aren't supposed to?
There's VxKex to spoof the version, + some extra functionality
you can trick the os info to spoof it as a windows 10 or 11 if you need just gotta edit a few things
Tutorial ?
@@stblg1743 its been a while the videos of it being done i havent found anymore but its mostly a registry edit sometimes a Nntoskrnl.exe or winver.exe edit idk been a while. You can also find/change the build version in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" could work... also for Callisto two files i think are needed dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll and edit the launcher option through steam for the game and set it to -dx11 and maybe itll launch.... It's been a while since ive seen anyone try to edit or spoof their os build and version to get programs to run and even that may not help.. You could possible grab the windows 7 extended kernel which could possibly help as well. either way nice video.
How?
There are Windows 7 forums out there. They could appreciate it with some additional inputs.
I actually tried doing this a couple weeks ago. I managed to get it to install, but unfortunately I have a gtx 4070, so it wasn't compatible. I was also unable to get ethernet to work. If someone ever makes a solution to those issues I'd love to see them.
Wifi usb sticker
Turn off Windows Animations and it'll be even faster! Also Aero effects if you want to go really crazy. 😂 I would honestly love to still run 7 on my newer PC's but there's too many compatibility issues obviously.
I seen the vid after I installed windows 7 on my vm. Thanks for making this video.
Dspace remake got error like that because devuno cant send your data to server
I have used 3dp chip for installing all drivers and it work
Dual booting this and latest windows is the choice if you still wanna use win7 and play modern games...
I had no luck with multiplayer games, but single player games worked great. CoD4 multiplayer works fine even without steam.
12:59 8.1??
i love this mans videos
Thank you
Keep the OS and the computer if you like.
Try out Kubuntu or Regata on the side if you like.
Odd that CS2 doesnt work for you but it works on windows 8.1 just fine
Windows 8.1 next :D great video, windows7 was awesome
Most singleplayer games should work with an extended kernel. GTA V single player and RDR2 should definitely work as it used to work.
Also, you checked the speed of the Win7 by opening internet browsers... they are dependent by your internet speed.
I loved windows 7 back in the day its a nice well rounded os with a very nice look. I use linux mint now, it has much better performance than windows 10 the only real downside is that getting some windows programs to run on it with full functionality can be a bit of a PITA. Imo its worth it though!
Nice to run 7 on something that can make it instant - a late friend of mine used to say things like "Linux boots up faster than windows does" and pre-SSD m.2 he was right, but now my SATA-3 and 7th gen i5 with DDR4 RAM boots up in 10 seconds, the exact same time as Puppy Linux booting up...how would Linux Mint go on a i9-14k?
Ah.. I remember when I used Windows 7 on my 2010 Thinkpad, playing all kinds of games, it looked amazing even if it was a 1366x768 screen.
In 2010 1366x768 was like 1440p I think
Next try Windows 8 build 9200
This is good
there’ll be a better chance with 8.1 build 9600
@@damian9303 no. thats a difrent release from Windows 8 (it has a difrent kernel)
@@Galaxy.Windows yeah, it’s much more revamped and is closer to 10. Windows 8 is at about the same kernel level as 7 if you don’t account for the UWP Metro apps
@@damian9303 Windows 8 is Windows 7 with Metro UI support. Windows 8 still has the Aero taskbar transparency without the blur and DWM can be swapped with the one from an ealier build to get back the blury transparency on taskbar and windows. even the Windows 7 explorer works but it needs some dlls from Windows 7
Why did you had to share this link on patreon?
There are some people that don't have money.
But the vista one is without the paid subscription. Whyyyyyyyyyyy?
I run windows 7 on a i3 9300 why not? Still a good os for good old games 2005-2016.
Nah this is not the most morden specs available today, it would be an UEFI Class 3 motherboard that doesn't support CSM mode anymore. Hope you can make a video about this problem (I recommend using Uefiseven)
That's not the universal pill to solve the issue. Also, modern and lacking old features are different things
@@SevoosChannelWell for Intel it is considered modern tho 😀 And yeah DISM is the more general option in this case but it's quite complicated compare to Uefiseven
What can you do with DISM?
the presedent of the us is micheal jordan and you are from england america
Valve doesn't wanna kill steam on 7 or 8
use an extended kernel of somekind and download the missing dlls and put them into the game install folder
If I pay for the subscription, can I then download the iso from the Patreon website?
Yes
But why? at this point it's just easier to to switch to Linux if you are trying to avoid 10/11
Just for fun
@@RamtechENG ahh yeh okay 👌
I just noticed that you have a 16 TB HDD and why do you need it for?
Videos
gpu drivers didnt work without flags because ms doesnt accept whql cert since 2023 on win7, you could or sign driver yourself or find newer nvidia driver signed (mydigitallife for instance) or use slightly older gpu driver from december 2022, there won't be any perf difference anyway since they are fixing only security issues if exists in newer releases and win7 drivers stucked on 470 branch...
Well thats not possible since NVIDIA stopped making drivers for Windows 7/8.1 long before rtx 40 series.
unfortunately yes
imagine how fast it is 😊
Why didn't you use extended kernel? You would be able to run all games (except DX12)
I didn’t even know about it. I’ll check
theres ways to play rdr2 and gta V on windows 7 just fine you just have to take the launchers out of the equation
If you will use cracked games they all will run cracked version of all the above games some how support windows 7 or even windows vista sometimes
try windows 10 ltsb the first version
Great idea
Do you mean an earlier build ? Such as v1507 10240?? if yes then I agree with you, earliest editions of Win 10 actually used to be less resource consuming. Newer versions of Win10 come with much useless stuff, such as 3 video players 😂😂, 2 paint photo editing apps... etc
@@regular5127 ltsc doesn't have those shits even on 21h2 version and every uptodate software works without any issues with latest games as well
@@regular5127 yes windows 10 10240
i have a question where do you have found intel l225-v driver for windows 7 (i REALLY need it please) and if you have the intel (14) I219-V...
Hi. I found it here archive.org/details/dp-lan-intel-24000.7z
@@RamtechENG thanks you!! :DD
Modern PC is a SCAM if you use older Windows you can STILL emulate your games versus using the Steam client if you legally own those games I see no big difference though if you don't do much on a computer an upgrade isn't worth it keep your Windows 7 for retro gaming I am trying to future proof my computer.
Also just to shock you all , Waitrose where i worked still use WIN 7 on their business PCs lol how they have not been hacked i do not know ?
Windows 7 is not supported, so it’s up to u
Driver Pack is actually really good in fixing driver issues on windows 7.. I have a compaq E!-2100 with AMD APU ( 1ghz ) with radeon HD-8210 graphics and this potato had nothing going for it if not driver pack coz even internet wouldn't work even on ethernet
And what about if you put an eyepatch on one of your eyes, and then install games that way and from sources! Could they run then? :)
you can, I'm daily driving it right now because my Windows 11 install got infected :/
plz install win xp x64 with uefi support wich you get from win vista
Does windows XP X64 UEFI version exist?
Ramtech is the best tech youtuber in history of tech videos
I love Windows 7, I still use it.
Have run into same instal problem when try to instal win7 professional .Required vm to get it in system but mouse still freezes and if eventually get utube to open plays with no sound.Dont play games except slots and just after a reliable back up system that more friendly then win11 to operate.
Wow that's just incredible
Glad to hear you liked it
latest game forcing me to upgrade windows 10... i can tell windows 7 more faster than windows 10... windows 10 feels laggy..
Defender deleted EMP.dll just an fyi. Defender was already becoming a problem in Windows 7.
sad part is, there shouldnt be anything spotting it from working, as we saw from control. i assume microsoft has something to do with it? maybe something about not allowing companies to give out software etc for win 7 via some licansing stuff, of no one wants to put in the relatively small amount of work it takes to make it work, rightfully so i guess. but damn do i miss win 7. using a computer has felt like shit ever since.
That's why I find compare Madobe Touko W10 on Nanami W7 commercial is unfair they should test on same hardware.
is it real?
Find Legacy Update, And Download The Program Into Your Older XP, Through Windows 8 Computer, And Click On The Program, To Start Finding The Programs, For Your Older Windows OS You Have Installed, And It Will Find All Of The System Programs, And System Service Packs, And You Will Be Prompted To Upload Them Into Your, New, Old Windows Computer . . .
4:56 did anyone notice the time on desktop?
Nice catch. And also there is a cut moments later, and 5:56 missing in that cut. That is a difference of 1!
About RDR2: its wont start because EMP.DLL file quarantined by any antivirus software check your Protection History.i know i exprienced (i recomended you backup EMP.DLL)
that game looks like its cracked by empress thats why,and most games cracked will work on windows7 unless its dx12 only
The sole reason for me moving to windows 10 was dx12 nothing more and i wont be moving to win 11 unless something like dx13 drops and games that i wanna play use it
There's DirectX 12 Ultimate
Well done, windows vista and windows 7 are really good operating systems and the best of all time!Anyway i use now windows 8.1 on my MSI motherboard computer with 12 gb ddr3 ram and ssd with 512 gb and vga graphic card, Processor Intel Celeron CPU G 530 @ 2,40GHz.Try installing windows 8.1 delta is the one i use, i see 7 and 8 and 8.1 dont support much games the modern ones, but can you try to just see how compatible on that very same hardware windows 8.1 delta is, the same where you here installed win 7 sp1 64 bit. i would love to see, thanks. I put notification on bell to see all, i watched your videos, good job , keep up your effort , this helps, ispecialy with the new hardware to know what to change to still use good old operating systems.
Thank you. I will
