Super Sonic does not give any special ending, it's just a transformation. You cant use it on the final boss, and you can't use wisps as Super Sonic. Rings gradually decrease as you are in the form, and you need at least 50 rings to go Super

At least sega dose not just give it to you. You littlerly have to collect all the red rings just to unlock the full special stage.
