WPL C24 race trail truck

- Опубліковано 3 кві 2021
- This is my fourth attempt to make my C24 both fast and reliable - and I think I´ve finally succeded! With fast brushed motor and 2-speed gearbox I can both bash and trail with it. A little bouncy, okay, but it´s a small truck, what can you expect?! I let the video speak!
That is badass. Slammed and fast. It looks like it can handle what's thrown at it too. Nice one
Thank you very much! Glad you like it!
That thing is awesome 👌💪
Thank you very much!
really cool,
Thank you very much!
You found an answer!! I have wondered if 370 and 2 speed gear could meet my demand - yes, you show me that. Thanks for great video!
Thank you very much and good luck with your project!
@@Georgieframe Could you let me know which battery you're using? LiPo 2S or something else?
@@coeur5333 I use 2s lipo in this video, think it is enough. The esc can take 3s, which I use with milder motorns, but with this motor I stick to 2s!
@@Georgieframe Thanks for the answer! 😃👍
Very fast 😳 good job 👍😉
That's awesome great to see wicked build , fun for ages ,mabe i should put my spare traxxas slash motor and esc in lol 👍👍👍🦘✌🤙
Thank you very much! Slash motor... I will salute you if you do! 👍😁
@@GeorgieframeI salute you already haha 🙋♂️
I put the brushless mini t 2.0 motor in my 6000kv it rips
@@earlfuller6474 Sounds good!👍
wow that's impressive! a huge amount of performance from that setup. Makes me wonder why people spend such a lot on the bigger trucks when you can have this much fun.
Thank you very much! Yes, I find this very entertaining and budgetfriendly. Of course a Traxxas or Axial can do more and is more reliable too, but the cost can be ten times or more compared to this. For me the choice is simple right now!
@@Georgieframe Where I live there are wide open parks with grass, so any RC can drive here as long is it can cope with a few cm of grass. The roads to them are tarmac, so again, don't need super off-road ability. There are some steep hills though. Not many rocks to crawl over, so "trail truck" is ample. Also the big heavy fast rigs would be huge overkill for these areas, and may even get me banned from the parks as they are in the public's eye, too fast at 50+ mph. So your scale creations would be pretty much perfect, even my Outlaw is too fast to use and not feel like I'm being antisocial.
@@carlbModels Try a WPL or similar, its nice and budgetfriendly. In rthat case I recommend a KM (kit metal) version, as you, in my opinion, get most for the money that way. You only have to ad a proper radio and esc to the car and it´s complete.
Really great this idea for this C24, I like it !! 😍
Thank you so very much! 😊
@@Georgieframe 😊👍
Superb speeds,nice wpl😍👍
Thank you very much!
Oh nicely done, Is this the 390 brushed motor you were talking about on the 1st video?
Thank you very much! No, this is a high speed 370 motor. Same size as the original motor for WPL 2-speed gearbox, but MUCH faster, and you can still drive slowly in first gear. I managed to burn the 390 motor because of too high gearing in a singlespeed gearbox. The 390 is also a bit bigger and has a bigger diameter axle than the 370. So i think this is a more convenient way of adding speed to the truck. Motor is the same size and you can use the same pinion gear as on the standard motor. A rather simple change! Here´s a link to the motor I bought, but there are other similar motors on Ebay too: www.ebay.com/itm/RCR-370-Brushed-Motor-Red-7-4v-49000-RPM-For-Tamiya-T3-01-RC-Trike-RCR-35472/382388598954
@@Georgieframe Wow. Thanks man! might send you an update once I manage to built it too. I would definitely include your channel as well this video of yours on our group on Facebook. cheers
I have a challenge for you.. what's the biggest motor you can fit in one of these cars? doesn't need to be mega expensive, just over the top just for the sake of over the top! something absurdly powerful though.
I might take up the challenge. I have the thought of putting a 550 motor in but the real challenge is to make it handle well and not to break right away. It has to be offroad capable as there is no asphalt in the neighbourhood where I live. We´ll se! And here´s an example of what I find entertaining but dont want to do myself:

@@Georgieframe I checked out that video, that was seriously fast. Also destructive! Would love to see a 550 in a small scale WPL model, with all the upgrade metal parts too.
@@carlbModels Time will tell...
I have the bushed 370 motor + 2 speed gear packaged but not resulting like this speed How you could do that?
Hello! I guess you use the stock 370 motor that comes with the gearbox. I changed that motor to a faster one, that I bought on ebay. The motor is shown in the beginning of the video. This is a link to that motor (but there are other fast motors as well): www.ebay.com/itm/382388598954
@@Georgieframe wow the 370 motor can be faster with modification? Thanks for the link
