As you might guess from the tone of my voice at the beginning of Codename 47, this run took a few more attempts than I would've liked. The goal was to beat the original Anthology that included the first 5 games and took just over 6 hours, and here we are! Thanks for the support everyone!
I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to reset on a run like this. That's why I never understood why people enjoy running Final Fantasy VII. Great run though, was interesting to watch!

7:34 It's not that convoluted of a plot device. The whole point is to weaken the Red Dragon triad so you can get to Lee Hong more easily. Killing the chief of police AND the Blue Lotus negotiator serves the purpose of making the Red Dragon's look guilty. The goal is NOT to "make the gang war worse;" the goal is to have as many enemies coming after the Red Dragons as possible.
You are probably the best speedrunner in the world just behind DarkViperAU. And I've only watched the Blood Money Speedrun from you and now I'm watching this XD

Unbelievable!! I played blood money and had no idea you could play that mission after the credits! I just assumed the game ended right there and I didn't play it anymore

I never liked Codename 47, maybe because I played Silent Assassin as my first Hitman. But I did the entire franchise many times. One of the best franchises out there.
C47 has very wonky mechanics and controls and no rating system whatsoever, and most of the levels were remade substantially better in Contracts, leaving little reason to enjoy or even play C47.
Only in a game like Hitman would a Security Guard who doesn't have a key be able to unlock a door which you can't unlock because you don't have a key. And would not have a problem with different Security forces be allowed to enter areas which you aren't able to even wearing their suits. A lower level security guard hears a sound from the pent house and he is the only one who hears it not only is he able to unlock doors to which he doesn't have the key too he then is able to pass by all different security levels to check out where he saw you or where he heard the noise all while you're standing there wearing his same level security uniform being told you can't pass a point while you watch him just run by past them and no one bats and eye and the only batting is looking at you because you look suspicious. Hitman is precious to me beyond words but I'd love to see Guards during VIP lock down to be telling other Guards that they can't be in a certain area because they don't have clearance or become hostile if they see lower security Guards in areas where they shouldn't and could kill them as a result.
For the mine kills on the clone in Amendment, isn't there a part of the wall that doesn't have collision that you can toss your mines through? I've always done something like that and it's been pretty consistent

of course the 2 targets during Paris in the holiday edition make sense! did you never watch Home Alone? Marv and Harry are the two fucking thieves in this movie which plays during Christmas. And here in this mission you've got to pop them.
I never knew about that poison for Francesca, and I've done literally every challenge in 2016; surprised it wasn't a "feat" or something. "I think there are still some parts of Sapienza that haven't been used five times." I started playing this game after everything was released, and my god I was flabbergasted at how many different variations of that map they made. There is a lot of content in season 1 that just feels like busy work, like they just wanted to pack in as much content as possible.
When hitman 3 releases, you need to do all of it again because your missing out on 2 games (but don't do the maps from 2016 in 2018 because its the same)

The Blue Lotus negotiator is a target in Seafood Massacre because you are trying to frame the Red Dragon as having attacked the Blue Lotus again. The idea is that throughout the Hong Kong missions, you are trying to make both triad groups think that the other one is being hostile towards them.
for that one guy asking in chat, hitman contracts levels are all night time and raining as the missions are flashbacks that 47 has, all besides the final mission. he has flashbacks because hes shot and is slowly bleeding out after one of the missions in hitman blood money, and gets patched up by a surgeon whilst having his flashbacks :P

47 was actually spotted in Hitman: Blood Money in the theatre mission and was hunted down and shot then was rescued by some old guy and left in a hotel in France, the police tracked his location and was swatted down in Hitman Contracts last mission lol

It simply comes up with an option to retry or play offline. Game plays fine. The only issue with the online system is if you're playing while connected and then lose connection it will boot you out which is kind of retarded.
@@MegaRuckaruckafan but you it doesn't track your progress do you don't unlock things like starting locations and new weapons. Which locks most of the game behind an internet connection. Mate.

there actually is a rating for final hm2 mission, it requires some file digging but at most you can only get a killer ranking because even if you kill all of them without guns and without anyone noticing sergei cause a shit load of encounters and is oddly enough considered a civilian

Can we all agree one thing? This is a solid franchise. It has hardcore roots (Silent Assassin), a remake (Contracts), a beloved classic (Blood Money), a failed experiment (Absolution) and a liked reboot (2016). Each new instalment is actually new.
When you use the map glitch it looks like those horror movies with static cuts. Just seeing 47 with his hand raised (holding the sedative) skipping to enemies and instantly taking them down looks horrifying.
Still rewatching this after years have passed. Even now this is a really interesting run to watch. Thank you very much Kotti for this nicely made content!

I know I’m like 2 years late but for the record, there is something you can do about the guards finding the bodies in Bjarkhov Bomb. You need to stand in a particular spot when you blow the sub. The guards will come running and bump into you, which will then cause them to turn around and walk away.

I don't like the always online aspect of it. Like why should I be connected to the internet for an offline game. The gameplay is amazing though.

there actually is a rating for final hm2 mission, it requires some file digging but at most you can only get a killer ranking because even if you kill all of them without guns and without anyone noticing sergei cause a shit load of encounters and is oddly enough considered a civilian

Can we all agree one thing? This is a solid franchise. It has hardcore roots (Silent Assassin), a remake (Contracts), a beloved classic (Blood Money), a failed experiment (Absolution) and a liked reboot (2016). Each new instalment is actually new.

It just occurred to me that this years (2022) Codename 47 will be 22, Silent Assassin will be 20, Contracts will be 18 and Blood Money 16.

When you use the map glitch it looks like those horror movies with static cuts. Just seeing 47 with his hand raised (holding the sedative) skipping to enemies and instantly taking them down looks horrifying.

The guy was clearly making a joke about 47 growing hair from radiation (and I actually found it quite funny), but then the next commenter butts in with a "Well, actually..." kind of comment. Great speedrun either way, but some of the people watching this could be downright irritating.
I know I’m like 2 years late but for the record, there is something you can do about the guards finding the bodies in Bjarkhov Bomb. You need to stand in a particular spot when you blow the sub. The guards will come running and bump into you, which will then cause them to turn around and walk away.
The dupe glitch turn off the necessity of distract the guards
