Lately, I have been facing a very big creative blockage, and a few moments of anxiety. Watching your videos inspires me so much, and makes me not want to give up my photography. As a librarian, I approve of this video! Seriously though, local libraries are often the only place you can find old local newspapers (usually in microfilm) or city directories which aren't as popular anymore but for years were often the only place you could find local businesses.
Great to see you both so happy. Has the town council ever spoken to you about sponsoring / supporting your work? Might be worth talking to them anyway, if they are anything like the UK they will have a dunny (cellar) full of old records and books that might be useful. I used to work for the water dept in Scotland, we had books and maps full of stunning detail of where all the water pipes go etc, the time and love that went into making them is stunning to think about.

Wow, that bag represents 20 years of what I would usually shoot. I've been carefully working on 2 rolls now for a couple of years in two separate cameras. :-D I'm trying to make every frame really special to me.
Hello Matt, listening to you talking about research, I remembered to have read about the explosion of a steam locomotive boiler near Chillicothe, which happened in May of 1948. Do you know whether there's any knowledge in town about this nowadays, whether there's still anyone around with live memories, or whether a librarian has access to sources? There must have been newspaper articles etc. because these were rare and impactful events.
Please tell KEH I had my camera repaird by them and when they return it it has a big dent on its prism finder with the light meter now affected. (Pentax 6x7 ttl) they promised to call me in 24-48 hours but that was 4 days ago. Not heard from them. I had to do it here cause I don’t know who to turn to. I spent money to have it serviced aside from my cost of buying the camera. Sorry Matt. I hope you could get their attention to this comment! Thank you!!

@@KEHcamera I spoke to Mr. Grieco and he did said he will fix it. KEH sent the replacement prism already. Thank you! Sorry Matt!
